CIA 'warned Spanish police' of an upcoming attack in the exact place it happened

The CIA told Los Mossos, the Catalonian regional police force, that Barcelona was a top target for jihadist terrorists as recently as June this year, El Peridoco, a local paper, reported on Friday.
"Two months ago the Central Intelligence Agency passed a notice to the Catalan autonomous police," the paper said. "It even warned of the risk to Las Ramblas," the pedestrian thoroughfare hit by an attack on Thursday.

Unfortunately Barcelona is in Catalonia which is second only to Basque region in their hatred of Spain. It has been a hot bed of rebellion, anarchism, and leftism for decades (read Orwell).

As part of the manifestation of their hatred of Madrid the Catalans have been vocal supporters of unfettered Muslim immigration.

PS. I should make the distinction: it is the Catalan separatists that have been clamoring for Muslim immigration, not the average Catalan citizen.

Are Catalan Separatists different than Basque Separatists?

Different ethnic groups, same aim: Both want independence from Spain. Geographically separate and to my knowledge do not work together in common purpose.

Spain is essentially a mini-empire founded by the Castillian conquest of most of Iberia in 1492. The "Spanish" language is actually Castillian. Catalans and Basques have their own languages. Both have long chafed under Castillian rule.

Ok, thanks.

Thing is, the Basque Separatists commit A LOT OF TERRORISM. Do the Catalonan separatists also commit a lot of terrorism?
