When the ‘WTF are you talking about, Trump?’ moments occur

The first one was about replacing the F-35 with the F-18. Trump didn't like the cost spiral (who did?) and then went out of his way to threaten the impossible.

Boeing, which purchased McDonnell Douglas (the F-4 Phantom) HAS MADE a lot of improvements in the radar cross section of the F-18A-F, and the Block III, looks like a great fighter (but with range a bit short). It also is the product of a mature process, the original airplane having been from the 1980's.
But it is not a stealth airplane AT ALL, and does NOT NOW have the networking so critical that the Air Force is now retrofitting it's F-15C's and D's with an accessory POD to enable their aircraft to talk instantaneous data with it's F-22's and F-35's.

Seemed like a ridiculous threat, devoid of knowledge. And then Lockheed charged less for the F-35.

Then comes yesterday's tweet which was so incomprehensible I couldn't even imagine WTF Trump was even talking about.
What the hell does that even MEAN? How can we guarantee the safety of our vote by working with the Russians? What mechanism?

What are the advantages of doing this? Of course he backed off under a sh*tstorm which was well deserved, but I note that neither the liar Lavrov, nor the thug Putin had anything to say either before or after this tweet.

I really think he is demonstrating a fundamental lack of thinking through to the unexpected results of these tweets.

Most of them are good, some are killers, but then these are hard to forget. The only thing to think?

Just Trump being Trump.

Given the rest of the program he has promised, as long as he gets to a 4%+ GDP that is reflected as disposable income to the middle class, does anyone care?

Maybe he is talking about some election security version of MAD?
