I believe a military response is the accepted norm for situations like this.
You know, the desegregation battle was before my time.
All I have to judge whether it was a success or not is what I see today at Urban schools.
99% black and hispanic.
Gangs, Graffiti, Drugs, and failing test scores. Ignorant teachers trapped in the middle of war zones.
Is this what victory looks like for the desegregationists?
I'm in the business of building schools in affluent suburban and rural districts. The landing zones for white flight.
So yeah, I guess I'm on board the desegregation train.

Around here, there is some white flight.
But there is also black flight. I personally know some blacks who have fled the kinds of urban schools you mentioned.
