My Personal Worry About Mr. Trump

It  has NOTHING to do with some hyperbolized fear over women suddenly being non humans, or forced to have abortions between buildings in the south Bronx.
It  has NOTHING to do with some hyperbolized fear over Americans who are non-‘white’ suddenly being in the back of some broken down inner city bus.
It  has NOTHING to do with some hyperbolized fear over a wall.
It  has NOTHING to do with some hyperbolized fear over a trade war in which iPhones are suddenly in short supply.
It’s THIS…
In 1944 with the binary nature of the war’s end being obvious in the Pacific, barring a hail mary, the Japanese never the less executed something remarkable.
William Halsey was WELL KNOWN for his character being encapsulated by this order when all was in doubt in the Guadalcanal Campaign, “Attack, REPEAT, Attack”. At every turn, when risk of loss was apparent his answer was the same as Joshua Chamberlain’s solution to running out of ammunition.
And so in a carrier war, and without trained pilots by the 4th quarter of 1944, the Japanese dangled their fleet of attack carriers during the US invasion of the Philippines, just within American detection range, and Halsey took off with the entire US fast carrier force to destroy what he viewed as the most important enemy units of the naval war in the Pacific.
But behind them and approaching from several directions were 2 more Japanese fleets one of which, a force of battleships and heavy cruisers, caught the entire US light carrier force (the ground attack support for the liberation of the Philippines) and guarded only by destroyers.
The result was ships with 2 or 5 5″ guns sacrificing themselves, and light carriers with no armor, or ability to attack the ships attacking them, sunk and damaged, and the tactical victory complete – and it could have been strategic but for the Japanese turning back under the ferocity of the charge and the abandon of self by these sailors, left on their own BY OUR ENEMY UNDERSTANDING THE NATURE AND CHARACTER OF THE LEADER OF THE AMERICANS.
Mr. Trump has amply demonstrated his strength which contains his exploitable flaw.
Counterpunch.
In the extreme.
Once hit, he will keep on hitting until he has won. The opponent has to be bloody and unconscious on the floor. That will be America.
Putin, Xi, Khameinei, YOU CAN BET, understand this quite clearly.
Even Al Qaeda and ISIS probably understand this.
And right now, in Moscow, Beijing, Qom and Teheran, they are planning.

Good thoughts.

He has never shown himself to deviate from this pattern.

Never deviating from a pattern is a weakness.

And yet, somehow, he always wins.

What has been the mechanism from his winning streak? Has he just gotten lucky with weak opponents, lacking any savvy, from the American Political scene?

That would not be at all surprising, would it?

Opponents expect the first shot, but then HE NEVER STOPS.

He NEVER stops.

NEVER.

By the 3rd and 4th whack, by the second week, the opponents are going, 'WTF?'

I think that's the trick.

Who knows? That may turn out to be a deterrent.

Thing is, I'm not sure that someone like Putin would give a shit if Trump insulted him.

And the insults would only serve to enrage patriotic Russians. Or so I imagine.

not thinking of insults, but responses to real actions.

Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania suddenly experience a revolt by non uniformed 'revolutionaries' and Kaliningrad, where there are Rus airbases, naval bases, and iskander missiles lies between NATO and the baltic states.

Counterpunch = ?

We send DDg-51's and landing ships and invite UKR into NATO?

Next move= ?

Then I think you may be worrying about something that won't be a problem. Trump is a rational business man. His way of seeing the world is, "Can we work together? If so, let us negotiate and make it work to our mutual benefit."
