The latest EU foreign policy document, titled Global Strategy, calls for an extended reach into new spheres as distant as the Middle East and sub-Saharan Africa.
It also outlined "gradual synchronisation and mutual adaptation" between different member states' individual defence strategies.
Ukip’s defence spokesman Mike Hookem said: “The EU wants its own Empire as former Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso made clear when he was in charge.
"This global strategy by the EU is yet another reason why last Thursday's result was a lucky escape for the UK.”
The latest plans, which reveal how the EU wants autonomy in defence and security matters, were outlined by foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini.
The Brussels document said: "European security and defence efforts should enable the EU to act autonomously while also contributing to and undertaking action in co-operation with NATO. "
Member States need the technological and industrial means to acquire and sustain those capabilities which underpin their ability to act autonomously."
It added: "Gradual synchronisation and mutual adaption of national defence planning cycles and capability development practice can enhance strategic convergence between Member States."I read this article and I'm sitting here thinking, "Europe?!!? Thinks they're going to extend to China and Africa? WTF? They can't even take care of the Muslims at their own borders."

Look, simply put, the "economic" European Union was just a first step towards world government. The dream of those behind the UN, and NWO. World government is the goal, which could not be so plainly put 50 years ago. Therefore, they came up with the unifying idea of the death of Gaia, and all that crap. Merkel made a big mistake by pushing for that monumental wave of immigration too early. Our generation has to disappear before the full implementation of NWO can take place. But they are in a hurry because they see two important world players on their side, one of them probably leaving the world stage soon: Obama, and the moronic political class in the US, and the pope.
Fortunately they are making mistakes in their hurry, and people are waking up.
Both Brexit and Trump are terrible threats to the big ideological balloon they have been inflating for decades, and the globalists will resort to desperate measures.
And if on top of all that you add the mad jihadists and their equal dream of world domination, I have no great hopes for the next two years, and after that, who knows. Maybe God will have mercy on us.

I must agree.
I heard about this kind of thing in the 50's and 60's -- and thought "conspiracy theories." I was wrong.
