What Political Class? New Budget passes 90-8 in Senate with MORE $ than Obama asked

Dailysignal (Congressional reportage):
The U.S. Senate’s first spending bill of 2016 allocates $261 million more than President Barack Obama requested and lacks significant conservative amendments, but it still sailed to passage Thursday in the Republican-led chamber.
An overwhelming number of senators on both sides of the aisle approved the energy and water development appropriations bill, by a vote of 90-8. Conservatives had objected to the higher spending levels and lack of policy riders in the weeks leading up to the vote.
In the end, it didn’t seem to matter.
It’s a victory for Republican leadership and an initial step toward achieving their goal of funding the federal government by passing 12 appropriations bills.
It’s a victory for Republican leadership.

It’s a victory for Republican leadership

Would that be the same kind of leadership that causes Paul Ryan to NOT endorse Trump because he is NOT CONSERVATIVE enough?
Or Mitch McConnell to deride the Tea Party STREET?
Can someone explain to me why it makes difference to vote Republican?
Hello?

I didn’t think so.
More, I bet these execrable hypocrites won;t even BOTHER to try and find some exculpatory excuses via some ‘elite’ tortuous logic.
An FP guy who holds some respect from me is about to release a book called the Death of Expertise. But ‘here’s your sign’, @radiofreeTom. The ‘expertise’ has been used to ‘RHODES’ the population, not to enlighten, or to educate and now, when we see the so called R leadership, whose essence was ending out of control spending, do THIS, …well…sorry, but …this..
has more chance of ending with modest improvement than continuing.
J Carter’s pollster has been warning for years, that the population is in a pre-revolutionary state.
When people have been in power too long, and making decisions for the people, and concerned with the minutiae around those decisions, it all becomes abstract. That’s human nature. These people have now become a separate entity from the people. Their interests are identified with the nation itself as they have come to see it, and are no longer with the people. This too is human nature.
This ‘thing’ with loss of faith in the parties, in govt, and (as in Facebook) the growing disillusionment with all institutions, is a very dangerous symptom IF ALLOWED TO CONTINUE.
The Corporate R’s and Wall St D’s both have the same interest.
Keep ‘it’ going.
If the R’s believe that while spouting how much they despite tax and spend D’s, they can spend and then say ‘oh, we better tax because we have to keep the USA’s credit rating’ … they have no reason to exist.
And their ‘expertise’ has been utilized only to prolong the agonies of a moribund economy, a dwindling disposable income for the middle class, and a birth fo a society in which more and more demands chase fewer and fewer resources.
