Ted Cruz on Tuesday [March 8] nabbed an unlikely endorsement: the backing of a Bush.The neocons have despised Cruz. But not now.
Neil Bush, a brother of George W. Bush and Jeb Bush, was listed (along with his wife) as one of 13 new additions to Cruz's national finance team. The campaign said the new additions are all former supporters of other candidates, including Bush, Rand Paul, Rick Perry and Marco Rubio.
This follows the release last week of a list of several other previous Jeb Bush backers now supporting Cruz, whose hardline conservative approach is generally at odds with the one Jeb Bush took.
Last summer, former President George W. Bush told supporters at a private fundraiser for his brother's campaign that Cruz was the GOP contender who most got under his skin. "I just don't like the guy," George W. Bush said at a Denver fundraiser....

A down blog post reports a cross-party conclave focused on stopping D Trump.
Now the entire gaggle of Silly Valley billionaires, NY Times style setters, and every remaining Democrat since Jim Webb departed are committed to the destruction of the GOP. They are NWO, Global Government, Open Borders zealots hell bent on establishing a Soviet style, one party, Marxist police state. So why would they give two squirts about the pending demise of the GOP at the hands of Mr. Trump? Seems they would be celebrating.
The real polling of Donald v Hillary, the polls that political geniuses like Bill Clinton believe, must really be looking BAD for Hillary despite what the media is feeding us sheep.
It's "Seven against Thebes." All against the Donald. Something really, really big is fixing to happen.
Cruz should not accept the support of the elites and pivot toward them. It would mean the same fate that met Rubio.
Perhaps the scariest thought in Democratic circles is what Trump could do to the Union vote. Trump is loved by union rank and file despite what the bosses might pretend. If he puts Michigan and Pennsylvania in play and blows up Ohio the Dems will be shitting in their pants. Plus the whole GOP strategy of the "firewall plus two (Ohio and Florida)" is out the window and Rove is out of a job.
The firewall strategy last worked in 2004 but the GOP consultants continue to cling to it since "Obama is an anomaly." Not true, that strategy is dead. So is the idea that the ticket must contain a Bush, a Kasich, and/or a Rubio to be successful.
Looks like Trump has handed the GOP exactly what they insist they have always wanted, a way to broaden the voting base. For the price of backing off on "right to work." A small price considering that private sector unions are not a problem. Public sector unions are.
So Bernie beat Hillary in the Michigan primary?
Tell me Trump can't beat Hillary in Michigan in the General! All bets are off folks, all bets are off.
Absolutely no way Cruz can beat Hillary in Michigan. Ted's going to have to play LBJ to Trump's JFK. As veep he won't have to worry about the citizenship issue since he could be bypassed in the order of succession.
So Trump / Cruz vs. Hillary / Castro.
Been saying this for a while. Not surprised in the least.

Are you kidding me?
The 2016 election is for me the saddest eye opener. Coming from a sort of Banana Republic, the US justice system, and its electoral process were something of Broadway lights on steroids. But between honest Hillary super delegates, and the prospect of an imperial GOP convention, I feel this election resembles more a mafia event than the electoral process of a civilized society. I cannot think of anything more demoralizing.
