'Tis because many intelligent individuals believe that we can "reform" Islam.

Whilst one (intelligent) friend stated that people are working on this on many fronts, and spoke of the many faces of a mountain, said friend forgot that Islam is a mountain range that extends from, and into, the 21st century.

So while people take their little piece of rock out of the mountain, the view above and looking down, speaks to futility.

My take on it?

We don't have the time. Time is not on our side in this battle.

Policy, and not philosophy,is the order of the day. The philosophers will eventually lose their lives with pen and paper still in hand. I prefer.... policy.
