France: Terror Cells Activated to Target Police

On the eve of a massive “Je Suis Charlie” rally in Paris to be held Sunday, terror cells in France have reportedly been activated in the past twenty-four hours to attack police.

Dozens of world leaders, including the king and queen of Jordan, are expected to attend the rally to stand with France after the nation was targeted in Islamist terrorist attacks this week.

Bill Maher and Salman Rushdie Ask: "Have We Reached a Tipping Point?

Interesting to note that:

Paul Begala says, "It's the fight within Islam that's most important. It's not amenable to a situation from the West."

And Salman Rushdie replies, "Yes, but what we can do is not give a fucking inch."

This is similar to what I was saying earlier today: "The only thing Infidels can do to hasten change in Islam is to put pressure, in various ways, on Muslims to force that change."

Not back down?

Put pressure on Muslims?

I guess putting pressure on Muslims is different.

Slott slides back to his old ways again

Dan Slott may have retweeted some posts in favor of the victims of Islamofascism in France this week, but no sooner was that done, he's begun to fall back on his old stance again, as the following screenshot of a Tom Brevoort tweet repeating the same farrago he spouted earlier makes clear:
I think this should make clear what we cannot expect from any comics publisher, any more than we could possibly expect from any movie studios: no stories written in solidarity tributes to the victims and their ideas, and probably no more tweets supporting the victims again anytime soon. There was a time when some of them did a memorial for 9-11 nearly 14 years ago (but even then, there were acts of leftism prevalent in the tributes), and since that time, they've largely abandoned any attempt to prove to victims of terrorism they really care about them. They're not all that different from various other cowards in the mainstream press who won't republish the Danish Mohammed cartoons.

In fact, take a look at this tweet from Ron Marz:

Yeah, just take attention away from the main issues at hand with moral equivalence and a disinterest in doing anything convincing to help make this a better world, that's Marz alright. It's just like him, a guy who hates conservatives, to say something so galling, and I no French citizen in the right frame of mind is going to be happy reading that drivel of his.

Marz also recently retweeted what's seen in the following screenshot a few weeks ago, which I almost forgot to make use of:
This is relevant to the current issue since France has similar gun control laws, and look how much good it's done: the Kouachi brothers and that filth named Amedy Coulibaly who held hostages in a kosher supermarket managed to get hold of firearms despite everything. Marz has obviously never heard of black market sales, a place where drug deals are also common.

Sometimes I wonder if these leftists really even thank France for building the Statue of Liberty as a gift to the USA in the 19th century, if they can't even come out staunchly in their favor at a time when help is needed.

While we're on the subject, here's something semi-related, a screenshot of a retweet by Gail Simone I'd wanted to post earlier, but forgot until now:
Much like Marz, she too trivialized serious issues by worrying all about Cheney and not the jihadists, nor the despots who harbor them. Truly shameful.

Rupert Murdoch Says Muslims Should Be ‘Held Responsible’ for ‘Jihadist Cancer’

Rupert Murdoch says Muslims should be ‘held responsible’ for ‘jihadist cancer’

Oh, how right he is.

We Infidels can not change Islam.

Only Muslims can change their religion.

The only thing Infidels can do to hasten change in Islam is to put pressure, in various ways, on Muslims to force that change.

What Rupert Murdoch is doing here is an example of putting pressure on Muslims.

He is doing EXACTLY the right thing.
Media mogul Rupert Murdoch has sparked an online storm after suggesting all Muslims should be held responsible for the violence of jihadists.
The controversial figure, whose UK operations have included The Sun, The Times, Sky and the now-defunct News of the World, took to Twitter after three days of bloodshed in Paris.

Lt. Col. Peters’ Plan to Fight Jihadists: ‘Leave Behind Smoking Ruins & Crying Widows’

“One: You accept that you are in a war. Two: You name the enemy, Islamist terrorists. Three: You get the lawyers off the battlefield […] you accept there will be collateral damage and you do not apologize for it. You do not nation build, you don’t try to hold ground. You go wherever in the world the terrorists are and you kill them, you do your best to exterminate them, and then you leave, and you leave behind smoking ruins and crying widows. If in five or 10 years, they reconstitute and you gotta go back, you go back and do the same thing, and you never, never, never send American troops into a war you don’t mean to win,” Peters said.

“those siding with the US have no place in this country”

Any questions?
All liberals should enlist as minorities: JI chief
Karachi: All those claiming to be liberals in a country made for the supremacy of the Quran and Sunnah should register themselves as minorities, Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Syed Munawar Hasan declared on Sunday.
American intervention in the country had led to anarchy and those siding with the US had no place in this country. If they were happy to call themselves liberals, they should enter their names in the list of minorities, the JI chief suggested while addressing an election rally held at the Bagh-e-Jinnah near the Quaid’s mausoleum.
Hasan termed the public meeting held by the name of “Peaceful Karachi, Prosperous Pakistan” at a crucial stage before the elections “a victory for the people of Karachi”. “The citizens of Karachi are now fully alive and they have come out with shrouds in their hands to eliminate terrorism and extortion,” he added.
The JI chief claimed that the election history of Karachi was marred with rigging and if the army was deployed on May 11, there would be stamps only on the scales – the election symbol of the Jamaat-e-Islami. “By holding this historic public meeting, the JI has proved who the people of Karachi are with,” he said. “May 11 will mark the defeat of terrorists.”

The Existence of Israel on Earth is COMPULSORY for jews to remain alive here

This writer has insisted partly via THIS and other modern examples that given the technology, weapons, and unchanging nature of humans, AND the 2500 year history of ignorant antisemitism, if there is no Israel, there will be NO JEWS.
Today proves the case. Headlining Drudgereport right now:

Editor of Britain’s Jewish Chronicle claims people are fleeing terror-hit French capital

  • Stephen Pollard says terror attack on Kosher store in Paris is no ‘fluke’
  • 'Every single French Jew I know has either left or is actively working out how to leave', he said
  • Experts believe that more than 100,000 French Jews have left since 2013
  • France’s Chief Rabbi has said after a number of attacks on Jews in the past year: ‘Jews murdered were targeted specifically because they were Jewish’
  • Policing stepped up across British Jewish areas, community body says
  • Mayor’s office has announced closure of shops in famous Jewish area

The French, over time, have allowed self ruled enclaves of those who wish the Jews ill in every way, AND ACT ON THAT WISH, to become DOMINANT and if not ASCENDANT in EFFECT in their nation.

The French have LITERALLY told the Jews ‘well, don’t wear a yarmulke and make it obvious you are a Jew. Take different routes to your synagogues’.
In general they have done little to nothing PROACTIVELY to protect the French citizens who happen to be Jewish. Why that is so, DOESN’T MATTER AT ALL.

Now even though Jews have been expelled from France 4 times and the french cooperated with the Nazis rounding up Jews in WW2, they are not going OUT OF THEIR WAY to get the Jews today.

They are simply letting nature (ie - IGNORANCE AND BRUTALITY) take its course while they have better things to do.

What was it Burke said about evil?

France is a busy place and they have a lot to do, so if those Muslims who are in their ‘no go’ enclaves come out and cap a few kikes every now and then, why should they turn the state upside down?

Get it world?

That doesn’t mean just 1939-45.

It means Cicero

It means the Council of Nicea

It means the Crusades

It means Dreyfus

It means Edward of England

It means the ghettos of Morocco,Libya and Algeria

It means the Damascus Affair

It means Stephen Walt and Mearsheimer and their theory of the inchoate conspiracy of dual loyalties and control of congress, and presidential elections

All that has to happen, if there was no Israel, for Jews to be ELIMINATED on earth, is ……nothing.

Aggressive, ignorant brutes raised in squalid stupidity on hate and religious idiocy will take care of it.

Grinding away.

France Threatened With More Attacks By Maniacal Scuzlims

The Muslims Are Restive

From the Associated Press:
PARIS (AP) — What started as a hunt for two terror suspects grew into something worse — fears of a nest of terrorists that could strike again in the heart of Paris. The suspects in three attacks knew each other, had been linked to previous terrorist activities, and one had fought or trained with al-Qaida in Yemen, which claimed ownership Friday of this week's newspaper massacre.
Michel Thooris, secretary-general of France's police labor union, told AP he didn't believe these were "three people isolated in their little world." "This could very well be a little cell," he said.
"There are probably more than three people," he added, given that Cherif Kouachi and Coulibaly had had contacts with other jihadist groups in the past. French Prime Minister Manuel Valls, speaking in a TV interview late Friday, also indicated authorities are bracing for the possibility of new attacks.
"We are facing a major challenge" and "very determined individuals," Valls said. Francois Molins, the Paris prosecutor, said authorities increasingly grew to see links between the attackers after they discovered that Boumeddiene and the companion of one of the Kouachi brothers had exchanged about 500 phone calls.
Speaking to reporters late Friday, he said that 16 people had been detained in the investigation. Officials were continuing to look for "possible accomplices, the financing of these criminal actions, the source of these weapons and all the help that (the terror suspects) might have benefited from, in France as well as overseas, in Yemen," Molins said.
The latest U.S. assessments described to the AP show that the brothers led a normal life for long enough in recent years that the French began to view them as less of a threat and reduced the surveillance.
They are continuing to investigate whether the brothers' steps away from radical Islam were part of a plan of misdirection, or whether it was real — and that they simply had another change of heart and decided to turn to violence.
On Friday, a French TV news network said it spoke directly to Coulibaly before his death, and he said he and the brothers were coordinating and that he was with the Islamic State extremist group. BFM, the network, said it also talked to the younger Kouachi brother, who claimed to be financed and dispatched by al-Qaida in Yemen, normally a rival organization.
Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula said Friday it had planned the assault on the Charlie Hebdo newspaper staff — but did not mention the other terrorist acts. Separately, officials in Yemen and the U.S. said Said Kouachi, 34, the older of the brothers, had trained with al-Qaida in Yemen. Yemeni authorities suspect he fought with the Islamic extremist group at the height of its offensive in the country's south, a Yemini security official said Friday.
Meanwhile, Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula says France is fucked:

AFP reported:
A top sharia official from Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) threatened France with fresh attacks following those at the Charlie Hebdo magazine and at a Jewish supermarket, SITE monitoring group said Friday.
“It is better for you to stop your aggression against the Muslims, so perhaps you will live safely. If you refuse but to wage war, then wait for the glad tiding,” Harith al-Nadhari was quoted saying in a video.
He stopped short of claiming responsibility for the three days of Islamist bloodshed in France that left 17 people dead.
But one of the suspects in the Charlie Hebdo attack studied in Yemen, where he attended Al-Qaeda training camps, Yemeni security sources and a classmate have said.

Deputy Mayor of Neuilly-sur-Seine Tells Dennis Prager He is Not Worried About the Jews Leaving France, They Can Go To Israel, But Where is the Average Frenchman to Go?

Phillipe Karsenty is of Jewish heritage. He is not making an anti-Semitic comment here. He is simply saying, life is gradually becoming untenable in France. Jews feel they need to leave, and they have the opportunity to go to Israel.

But the average Frenchman has nowhere to go.

Karsenty noted he believe that, within his lifetime, he will have to leave France.

Qatar just kicked the Muslim Brotherhood out. Word is, the MB will set up shop in Turkey, right at the doorstep of Greece/Europe.

I've been telling my kids for ten years now that France will not even exist by the time they are 35-40 years old.

I hate to be dark, but I fully expect Muslims to make a run for Greece within the next 2-5 years, and Italy shortly after that.

Then it will be France and Spain's turn.

Remember, a few months ago, a French poll showed that 16% of French people have positive feelings towards ISIS.

There are approximately 5-8 million Muslims in France. France has a population of 66 million people.

That means, almost every single Muslim in France supports ISIS.

Good luck, Euros.

Cowardice is always the wrong move...

...when it comes to dealing with Islamomaniacs.

From Weasel Zippers, citing the Telegraph:
Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten, which angered Muslims by publishing cartoons of the Prophet Mohammad 10 years ago, will not republish Charlie Hebdo’s cartoons due to security concerns, the only major Danish newspaper not to do so.

“It shows that violence works,” the newspaper stated in its editorial on Friday.

Denmark’s other major newspapers have all republished cartoons from the French satirical weekly as part of the coverage of the attack which killed 12 people in Paris on Wednesday.

Many other European newspapers also republished Charlie Hebdo cartoons to protest against the killings.

When Jyllands-Posten published 12 cartoons by various artists in September 2005, most of which depict the Prophet Mohammad, it sparked a wave of protests across the Muslim world in which at least 50 people died.

Paris: Islamist Takes Man Hostage in Kosher Grocery Store

UPDATE: The entire city of Paris is on lock-down.

Trocadero Square Evacuated Near EIFFEL TOWER – Reports of Armed Incident

According to one Twitter feed, there has been a shooting at the Eiffel Tower.  Disregard.  Either a false flag or a genuinely erroneous report.

From our Anonymous helper:

This is yet another hostage situation - in addition to the Hebdo duo cornered with one female hostage in a printing house near Charles de Gualle airport. Three others in the same facility managed to get out. Several schools evacuated around town where massacre suspects holed up: official Some 200 children from a pre-school, primary school and high school "will be transported to the town gymnasium where their parents can collect them," said a spokesperson for the town council.

It also emerged today that authorities believe there is a link between the brothers and the suspected perpetrator of a shooting yesterday in the Parisian suburb of Montrouge in which a female police officer was killed. link

14.04 One person has been seriously wounded in the hostage-taking incident at a kosher supermarket in eastern Paris on Friday, a police union source said.

The interior ministry denied press reports that two people had been killed.
via Telegraph @ 14.25: Amedy Coulibaly in the kosher grocery siege in eastern Paris is reportedly demanding through hostage negotiators that the Kouachi brothers - currently part of a seige in Dammartin-en-Goele - be "freed".
The Telegraph's Henry Samuel explains the suspects' backgrounds:

Coulbaly, a Frenchman of Senegalese descent from Juvisy in the Essonne area outside Paris, was part of the now notorious Buttes-Chaumont network that sought to recruit and sent radicalised French youths to Iraq in the early 2000s.

The Koachi brothers were also part of the network, based in Paris’ 19th

One of 10 children and the only boy, Coulibaly became a delinquent at 17, and a repeat offender for petty thefts and drugs crimes, moving onto an armed bank robbery in September 2002 in Orleans, in the Loiret, before radicalising.

In 2013, he was convicted to five years in prison for his involvement in a
botched prison break-out of Smain Ali Belkacem, a former member of the
Algerian Islamist group GIA and the author of a 1995 attack on the Paris
transport system that killed eight people and wounded 117.

The Koachi brothers were arrested and detained for involvement in the
Belkacem breakout, but later released due to lack of evidence.

According to Le Monde, the Coulbaly and Boumeddiene were already in a relationship in 2010, when he was arrested over the jailbreak attempt. She reportedly waited for her boyfriend to be released from prison this Spring after four years in detention, and he lived with her after that in a Paris suburb.

The pair reportedly visited Beghal in 2010 in Cantal, southern France,
where he was under house arrest. That year, French surveillance officers
photographed Beghal playing football with Cherif Kouachi and two other
convicted terrorists, Ahmed Laidouni, a jihadi recruiter, and Farid Melouk,
an Algerian member of the GIA terror group.

Quizzed by French intelligence agents at the time, Boumeddiene told them that she and Coulbaly had gone there to practice “crossbow shooting”
According to @CNN, the French policewoman shot dead yesterday was in the vicinity of the intended target of attack: a Jewish primary school.

Telegraph @14.54 Paris police fear more attacks on Jewish neighourhoods and have ordered shop closures, according to AP

BREAKING: Police order all shops closed in famed Jewish neighborhood in central Paris far from attacks.

— The Associated Press (@AP) January 9, 2015

The mayor's office in Paris announced the closures Friday of shops along the Rosiers street in Paris' Marais neighborhood, in the heart of the tourist district and about a kilometer away from the offices of newspaper Charlie Hebdo where 12 people were killed on Wednesday.

Hours before the Jewish Sabbath, the street is usually especially rowded with shoppers - French Jews and tourists alike.

The Vincennes region of eastern Paris in which the second, grocery hostage situation is taking place has a large Jewish population.

There has also been speculation that the attack in which a policewoman was killed yesterday in Montrouge was an aborted attempt to attack a Jewish school there.

Swedish MP Calls Islam The “Religion Of Peace”… Reported To Police For “Inciting Racial Hatred”

This is what happens. Some categories have a negative perception built in. When this is the case, we have to continue changing the name every time public awareness catches up with the perception.

For instance, we used to call Developmentally Disabled people, "morons", "imbecile", and "retarded people". These were the words that were used by the people who cared for the Developmentally Disabled.

But the words had to be changed, because they began to be used for mockery.

Likewise, the term "Religion of Peace".

Everyone now knows what that means. It means Jihadist fuckwad.

So when we say the phrase "Religion of Peace", yeah, it's used as mockery for a thing that deserves to be mocked.

Our government caused the problem by lying to us for the past 13 years, saying over and over that Islam is a Religion of Peace.

(AFP) – A Swedish member of parliament reported a far-right leader to the police on Friday for alleged incitement to hatred over a comment related to the Charlie Hebdo massacre in Paris.
In a Facebook comment to an article on the killings at the French satirical weekly’s office Wednesday, the party secretary of the Sweden Democrats Bjoern Soeder wrote “‘The religion of peace’ shows its face.”
“He has linked practising Muslims to a terrorist act, it’s extremely offensive,” Veronica Palm, from the ruling Social Democratic party told TV4 news.
“This statement is offensive to a group of people and I want to see if it comes under laws against inciting racial hatred,” said Palm.
Soeder is also a deputy speaker of the Swedish parliament where his anti-immigration party doubled its support to 13 percent in a September election — making it Sweden’s third political party.

The Atlantic: Europe is Under Seige

Yesterday, the venerable publication, The New Yorker, came out as anti-Jihadist, and today it is The Atlantic.

Europe Is Under Siege

The European Parliament complex in Brussels, where I happen to be sitting at the moment, is meant to be a monument to post-World War II continental ideals of peaceable integration, tolerance, free speech, and openness. All of these notions seem to be under attack at once, and what is striking to me, as a relatively frequent visitor to Europe over the past year, is that not many people—until a few hours ago, at least—seem to believe that their union, and their basic freedoms, are under threat.
The massacre at the offices of Charlie Hebdo falls into the category of events that are shocking in their intensity and brutality, but not at all surprising. This attack, which killed at least 12 people, including journalists and two police officers, was utterly, completely predictable. The brittle, peevish, and often-violent campaign to defend the honor of Allah and his prophet (both of whom, one might think, are capable of defending themselves with lightning bolts and cataclysmic floods and such, should they choose to be offended by cartoons) has been pursued in earnest since the 1989 Iranian-led crusade (I use the word advisedly) to have Salman Rushdie murdered for writing a book. In 2011, of course, the offices of Charlie Hebdo were firebombed—the equivalent of the 1993 attack on the World Trade Center, an attack that should have told us more about long-term jihadist intentions than it unfortunately did.

Want to see the END of the Republican Party?

Momentum builds in Congress for raising the federal gas tax

Record-low gas prices across the U.S. have given rise to fresh talk in Washington of raising the federal gas tax for the first time in over 20 years, with leading Republicans now saying a hike must not be ruled out.
The GOP has long resisted calls from business leaders and others to boost the 18.4 cent-per-gallon tax as a way to pay for upgrades to the nation’s crumbling roads and bridges.
Yet in recent days, senior Senate Republicans have said they want to keep options open and that “nothing is off the table” when weighing the best mechanisms to pay to finance infrastructure projects.
"I just think that option is there, it’s clearly one of the options," said Sen. Inhofe (R-Okla.), new chairman of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works.
Senate Finance Chairman Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) and Sen. John Thune (R-S.D.), the third-ranking Senate Republican, also said they were open to the possibility of raising the tax.
Democratic leaders in both chambers of Congress, meanwhile, declared this week that “now is the time” for an increase.
I will WORK for a 3rd or 4th party in the event the Republican party after saying all they have since Mr. Reagan was president, and Jack Kemp led to an idea, either promulgates such a tax, or allows it to occur.

That’s all there is.

The European ULTIMATE response to ‘unpleasant’ civilians

What the British did

The French

The Spanish
And of course, Germany needs no pictorial
Further back in history, merely expulsions and pogroms.
The Muslims ignore history and should all be frantically engaged in helping the authorities to root out the evil among them lest another conclusion is reached over there
And as for HERE … I pray we have a better solution than we did for the Nisei

No matter how pleasant we want to make it, it won’t be home.
Muslims MUST excoriate, identify and expel from their communities those who would kill, subvert and terrorize or intimidate in any way those who believe in the sanctity of the PEOPLE being sovereign to rule themselves. If they cannot do this, they cannot be members of THIS idea. It is the BASIS for all of us to TOLERATE each other, not love each other, TOLERATE each other.

The problem, Mr. Speaker, is that your statement is absolutely true

Boehner: ‘I’m The Most Anti-Establishment Speaker We’ve Ever Had’

Speaker of the House John Boehner defended his conservative bona fides Thursday, arguing during a press conference that it “pains” him to be described as a “squish” by members of his own party
His comments, directed at the conservative wing of the GOP, come days after 25 members of his own party, many of whom argue he is not sufficiently conservative, voted against him for speaker. Boehner still won re-election.
Now I know there were SOME headlines (probably in order to foster the idea that the GOP is about commit suicide) insisting Boehner was narrowly re-elected, and that 25 votes against represents some huge revolt. But when your opposition is 10% of your total it hardly represents being ‘narrowly’ elected.
End of first thought.
Now, the other part of this is that only 25 members with R preceding their state of representation understand they are today’s ‘black republicans’ (the abolitionists) who seemed so extreme (and still do to SOME historians) but understood the moral position they took gave no choice to them or the nation. Of course, that was over slavery which had, really, just one solution with several implementations.
Today these folks can put a stake in the ground on only just 2 ideas. Ending the financial irresponsibility which endangers the republic every bit as much as slavery gnawed away at its vitals, and fidelity to the constitution and its processes.
Outside of these 2 things, there is scarcely any other agreement. And I do not believe the abolitionists were much different. When you think of Gohmer, or a few others, think of John Brown. Right, but unable to proceed down the path they see.

Brown, of course, was unlike the 25, a violent and ultimately AMORAL murderer led astray by the call of the right moral choices, implanted onto extreme actions, and finally put down, ironically, by Jeb Stuart and Robert Lee.
From what I can gather, the other 90% (222 votes) will, when the choice is put to them vote for the establishment in order to keep WINNING, or get a good committee position, over a central core idea within themselves to proceed outwardly to lead the nation. But they will all be forgiven if the R leadership is serious and NOT members of a sickening political class.
Now, we cannot have ideologues run roughshod over our processes (as the last 6 years PROVE), therefore painful compromises MUST be made WITHIN THE GUIDING PRINCIPLES.
I am no longer sure if proceeding from the position on the Bell Curve of political ideas Boehner exists on will save the republic. It will be, as Wellington put it, ‘a near run thing’.
If Boehner is on the right path, Mr. Obama will be put into the position of obstructing the ENTIRE legislative process of the USA because Mr. Obama IS an ideologue now without any worry about having to justify by election what he is doing.
If Mr. Boehner and Mr. McConnell are SKILLED and on the right path, they will know and pass legislation with enough COMPROMISES to OVERRIDE presidential vetoes.
If they fail at that, we will have a series of vetoed bills, in escalating polarity and degree, resulting in confrontations and a finally a series of Constitutional crises which will occur, probably, too late for SCOTUS to arbitrate.
The first tests will be significant, especially the pipeline. This will be a battle between ecological ideologues and reality. A battle between our economy and world fossil fuel supplies (and therefore price and disposable income for the middle class) versus those convinced humans are ruining the world by LIVING. Barack Obama is a member of the latter group, ultimately and unleashed from the master of elective responsibility will easily choose his path.

The New Yorker: The Blame for the Charlie Hebdo Murders

From the New Yorker:
The murders today in Paris are not a result of France’s failure to assimilate two generations of Muslim immigrants from its former colonies. They’re not about French military action against the Islamic State in the Middle East, or the American invasion of Iraq before that.
They’re not part of some general wave of nihilistic violence in the economically depressed, socially atomized, morally hollow West—the Paris version of Newtown or Oslo. Least of all should they be “understood” as reactions to disrespect for religion on the part of irresponsible cartoonists.
They are only the latest blows delivered by an ideology that has sought to achieve power through terror for decades. It’s the same ideology that sent Salman Rushdie into hiding for a decade under a death sentence for writing a novel, then killed his Japanese translator and tried to kill his Italian translator and Norwegian publisher.
The ideology that murdered three thousand people in the U.S. on September 11, 2001. The one that butchered Theo van Gogh in the streets of Amsterdam, in 2004, for making a film.
The one that has brought mass rape and slaughter to the cities and deserts of Syria and Iraq. That massacred a hundred and thirty-two children and thirteen adults in a school in Peshawar last month.
That regularly kills so many Nigerians, especially young ones, that hardly anyone pays attention. Because the ideology is the product of a major world religion, a lot of painstaking pretzel logic goes into trying to explain what the violence does, or doesn’t, have to do with Islam.
Some well-meaning people tiptoe around the Islamic connection, claiming that the carnage has nothing to do with faith, or that Islam is a religion of peace, or that, at most, the violence represents a “distortion” of a great religion. (After suicide bombings in Baghdad, I grew used to hearing Iraqis say, “No Muslim would do this.”)
A religion is not just a set of texts but the living beliefs and practices of its adherents. Islam today includes a substantial minority of believers who countenance, if they don’t actually carry out, a degree of violence in the application of their convictions that is currently unique.

Bill Maher: We're a "Pussy Nation," and Liberals Are Craven In Their Refusal to Condemn Violently Anti-Liberal Islamist Ideology

From Meidaite:
America got a preview of what we can expect from the 13th season premiere of HBO’s Real Time this Friday night when Bill Maher joined Jimmy Kimmel and unleashed his anger on Muslims who “applaud” an attack like the one that killed 12 people at Charlie Hebdo’s Paris offices and declared that politically correct liberals have turned this country into “Pussy Nation.”
“This was big shit,” Maher said of the attack on people who make jokes for a living. “And we to not avoid who did this.” When Kimmel started saying, “we presume” Maher cut him off. “No it’s not a ‘presume.’ No, no, it’s Muslim terrorists. This happens way too frequently. It’s like Groundhog Day if the groundhog kept getting his head cut off.”
“These guys had the balls of the Eiffel Tower,” Maher said of the cartoonists, reaching for a properly French metaphor. “I’m the liberal in this debate. I’m for free speech. To be a liberal, you have to stand up for liberal principles. It’s not my fault that the part of the world that is most against liberal principles is the Muslim part of the world.”
After running down some of the worst atrocities committed on behalf of Islam in Muslim countries and the hesitation to condemn the religion as a whole, Maher said two words: “Pussy Nation.”
“We have to stop saying, when something like this that happened in Paris today, we have to stop saying, ‘Well, we cannot insult a great religion,’” Maher continued.
“First of all, there are no great religions, they’re all stupid and dangerous. And we should insult them. You should be able to insult whatever you want. That is what free speech is like.”
While Maher said most Muslims would not have actually carried out the attack in Paris themselves, he said, “Hundreds of millions of them support an attack like this, they applaud an attack like this. What they say is, ‘We don’t approve of violence, but you know what? When you make fun of the Prophet, all bets are off.’”

CNN's Lemon asks Muslim attorney, 'Do you support ISIS?'

Always on Watch and I were on the phone this afternoon discussing the situation vis a vis the Charlie Hebdo Massacre of yesterday.

We both agreed that it seems like this event, of all the abominations that have come our way from the adherents of the Religion of Peace, has woken up Liberals.

Strange. But it seems to be true.

Here's some evidence.

How Politically insensitive of Don Lemon, right? I mean, just because the guy is Muslim you asks Arsalan Iftikhar if he supports ISIS?

It sounds almost as if Don Lemon doesn't believe Arsalan.

What is this world coming to?

That's a Beautiful Mosque You Have There ... It'd Be a Shame If Anything Happened To It

MOSQUES ATTACKED in France – Explosion at Kebab Restaurant

Several training grenades were thrown into the courtyard of a mosque in the French city of Le Mans. One of the grenades exploded, but no injuries were reported.
Four training grenades were thrown onto the property overnight Thursday, the local French daily Ouest-France reports.
Three of the unexploded grenades were discovered by police. Police have cordoned off the mosque and so far no arrests have been made.
A gunshot was also reported overnight, with the bullet hitting the mosque.
French police have noted several attacks against mosques since Wednesday, when gunmen opened fire on the Paris office of the French satirical weekly Charlie Hebdo.
On Thursday morning, an explosion was reported in a kebab shop near a mosque in Villefranche-sur-Saone, eastern France.
There are no reports of any injuries and the cause of the blast remains unknown.

The Infidel Bloggers Alliance condemns these senseless acts of violence no matter who the perpetrator. It pains us when innocent people die. We believe it an abomination right into the face of Allah.

Attacks in Paris and on Sony raise fears of censorship

The Boston Herald's brought up the valid worries of censorship that could consume Hollywood, not just because they're allegedly afraid of terrorist attacks, but also because they're worried about money:
Freedom of speech is under attack, but, given Sony's initial decision to pull the release of the "The Interview" and its subsequent about-face, it's not clear how rousing a defense the entertainment business is willing to mount in the midst of financial pressures, political dangers and the threat of violence.

"All of this is deeply concerning to me because increasingly we live in a culture of fear," said documentary director Joe Berlinger, whose films include "Paradise Lost" and "Crude." "This culture of fear is economically based and that doesn't mix well with freedom of expression."

Berlinger said it's already difficult to get networks and studios to back politically-charged projects because they are worried about alienating advertisers or sectors of the audience.

In the hours following the Paris attacks, not one of the Hollywood movie or TV studio executives contacted by Variety would comment on the implications for the entertainment industry and potential chilling effect the killings could have on producing controversial content.

That reticence to tackle controversies threatens to calcify, filmmakers and other industry watchers say. Already, CNN has had to justify its decision not to air images of the Charlie Hebdo cartoons that may have provoked the attack.

"We were already heading in the direction of possible self-censorship in Hollywood because of the Sony hacking, and this might just reinforce those tendencies," said Ira Deutchman, chair of the film program at Columbia University and co-founder of Emerging Pictures.

Studios routinely edit out scenes and other imagery from films exported overseas so as to not offend local sensibilities or, in the case of China, to pass muster with government censors. The worry among some writers, however, is that projects won't even get to that point.

Novelist Andrew Kaplan, author of the "Scorpion" adventure novels and "Homeland" book tie-ins, said that he sees the Paris attack as "leading to more self-censorship. As a writer or film or TV producer, nobody's looking for more headaches. So people step away from problems."

He said that his book "Scorpion: Betrayal" had a dangerous terrorist character known as "The Palestinian," and "there were strong suggestions from my editor of change this."

Kaplan dug in his heels.

"We batted this back and forth, but I held my ground," he said. "I could see why they felt, 'We don't want to step into this mess.' People are already antsy about discussing Islam and the Prophet Mohammed. Also, even though the Mideast is not a huge market for films and TV, it's an important source of money for productions. So producers and executives pull in their horns. They say, 'Let's shade this a little differently' because the truth is, they want the Mideast money."
I think this sums up the root cause of the problem: many studios and publishers have sold out to moneymaking, mainly overseas. All because they don't have confidence in movies filmed on a studio set to sell as well as those filmed on location, and that's just a starting example. If this is what we've come down to, then there's no point supporting a lot of these movie studios, because they're already certified cowards, and what's the point in supporting studios that do cave to PC? What needs to be done as a reaction is establish studios and distributors who will show the guts to tackle serious issues, and find millionaires who can provide the needed backing.

From the Weekly Standard:
White House press secretary Josh Earnest explained to reporters today that the United States needs to “redouble” efforts to explain “what the tenets of Islam actually are.” He made the comments in response to a question about how the U.S. might respond to the terror attack today in France.
A reporter asked, “On the U.S. response to the attack in France, is the U.S. concerned about any risk here from this group or similar groups, and is there any plan to raise threat levels or anything like that in response to the attacks in France?”
“What I can tell you is that today’s events in Paris that are so tragic are a reminder of how important it is for everybody to be vigilant about the threats that we face. I don’t say that to hint that somehow the French fell short of needed vigilance, only that today’s tragic terror attack is an indication of just how serious a threat we face. And there are men and women in the U.S. national security infrastructure that are working around the clock to try to protect the American people and American interests both here at home and around the world.
“There are some individuals that are using a peaceful religion and grossly distorting it, and trying to use its tenets to inspire people around the globe to carry out acts of violence. And we have enjoyed significant success in enlisting leaders in the Muslim community, like I said, both in the United States and around the world to condemn that kind of messaging, to condemn those efforts to radicalize individuals, and to be clear about what the tenets of Islam actually are. And we’re going to redouble those efforts in the days and weeks ahead.

Another Jihad Attack in Paris: Female Police Officer Shot Dead, Male Colleague Injured in New Slaughter

The Muslims Appear To Be Restless

From the Mirror:
The man is 52-years-old and was wearing a bulletproof vest, and had a handgun and a machine gun, sources suggest.
“Around 8:09 he shot towards the police officers who were at the scene for a road incident,” said Mr Cazeneuve. “The police woman – who is in very critical condition – was shot in the back.”
She died.

NY Times Writer’s Stellar Editorial On Protecting The Right To Run #CharlieHebdo Cartoons…But NY Times Chickens Out

The New York Times censors itself, so the Jihadis won't have to.

Here's an excerpt from the censored piece:

After saying all that, then the gutless NY Times announced they would not be running pictures of the cartoons.

People know the consequences: Why did France allow the tabloid to provoke Muslims?

No more CONDEMNING screed against the demands of Islam exists than Anjem Choudry ‘explaining’ that Muslims just cannot be provoked, and that freedom of speech (which will always ultimately be blasphemy to SOME) is a product of our corruption.
From USA Today (and I am glad they published this):

Contrary to popular misconception, Islam does not mean peace but rather means submission to the commands of Allah alone. Therefore, Muslims do not believe in the concept of freedom of expression, as their speech and actions are determined by divine revelation and not based on people’s desires.

This is a PERFECT explanation of THE PROBLEM. We are sovereign in our effort to govern ourselves. The people. Nothing else. We may make mistakes, but they are decided upon by US. Here. On earth. People like Choudry are guided by a document THEY have decided to make sovereign above any other consideration. But they are human and have ONLY belief in the suspension of proof to demand others accept THEIR sovereignty, OR DIE.

Although Muslims may not agree about the idea of freedom of expression, even non-Muslims who espouse it say it comes with responsibilities. In an increasingly unstable and insecure world, the potential consequences of insulting the Messenger Muhammad are known to Muslims and non-Muslims alike.
Muslims consider the honor of the Prophet Muhammad to be dearer to them than that of their parents or even themselves. To defend it is considered to be an obligation upon them. The strict punishment if found guilty of this crime under sharia (Islamic law) is capital punishment implementable by an Islamic State. This is because the Messenger Muhammad said, “Whoever insults a Prophet kill him.”
However, because the honor of the Prophet is something which all Muslims want to defend, many will take the law into their own hands, as we often see.
Within liberal democracies, freedom of expression has curtailments, such as laws against incitement and hatred.
The truth is that Western governments are content to sacrifice liberties and freedoms when being complicit to torture and rendition — or when restricting the freedom of movement of Muslims, under the guise of protecting national security.
So why in this case did the French government allow the magazine Charlie Hebdo to continue to provoke Muslims, thereby placing the sanctity of its citizens at risk?
It is time that the sanctity of a Prophet revered by up to one-quarter of the world’s population was protected.

This stinks to high heaven. It's bullshit. What the hell is going on here?

Three cold blooded killers and this guy walks in and SURRENDERS???

From the little I've seen of the videos these pigs were no lone wolves. They knew what they were doing. They knew how to handle weapons. THEY ASKED FOR VICTIMS BY NAME.

Then they shot them. Killed them. In cold blood.

They walked right up to the cop and shot him in the head with an AK-47 without hesitation as he laid there begging for his life.

With an AK-47.

In France for chrissake.

It's easier to get a gun in Chicago or D.C.

This is hard core shit.

I ain't buying it.

Not for one goddamned minute.

Something else is going on here.

New York Times:

One Suspect Surrenders in Attack on French Newspaper; Two Others at Large

PARIS — The police organized an enormous manhunt across the Paris region on Wednesday for three suspects they said were involved in a brazen and methodical midday slaughter at a satirical newspaper that had lampooned Islam.
The terrorist attack by masked gunmen on the newspaper, Charlie Hebdo, left 12 people dead — including the top editor, prominent cartoonists and police officers — and was among the deadliest in postwar France. The killers escaped, traumatizing the city and sending shock waves through Europe and beyond.
Officials said late Wednesday that two of the suspects were brothers. They were identified as Said and Chérif Kouachi, 34 and 32. The third suspect is Hamyd Mourad, 18. News reports said the brothers, known to intelligence services, had been born in Paris, raising the prospect that homegrown Muslim extremists were responsible.
Early Thursday, a spokeswoman for the Paris prosecutor said that Mr. Mourad had walked into a police station in Charleville-Mézières, about 145 miles northeast of Paris, and surrendered.

“He introduced himself and was put in custody,” said the spokeswoman, Agnès Thibault-Lecuivre.
