(CNN)Hillary Clinton has instructed her attorney to hand over her private email server and a thumb drive of all her work-related emails to the Justice Department in an effort to blunt an expanding probe into the use of a private email account.
Clinton, now the Democratic presidential front-runner, "directed her team to give her email server that was used during her tenure as (Secretary of State) to the Department of Justice, as well as a thumb drive containing copies of her emails already provided to the State Department," her spokesman, Nick Merrill, told CNN early Tuesday evening.
"She pledged to cooperate with the government's security inquiry, and if there are more questions, we will continue to address them." Merril said in the meantime, Clinton's team "has worked with the State Department to ensure her emails are stored in a safe and secure manner."

I don't see a Bernie ascendency coming. He'll never get traction in the "minority" community. He kinda reminds me of a Eugene McCarthy treading water until a Bobby Kennedy comes along.
Who will fill the vacuum if Hillary really does bite the dust? Good question. My guess is Warren will be drafted but she is no darling of the non-whites either - though better than Bernie. Bloomberg could jump in, even Gore could try to stage a comeback but neither of these are shoe-ins.
Could go out on limb and project a possible constitutional "crisis" and a suspension of the electoral process. Such an action is certainly possible, there are plenty of "troops" ready to hit the streets if that happens. In January 2009 I told anyone who would listen that I believed we had just seen the last peaceful transfer of power in my lifetime. I still believe that.
Certainly Obama and company have been laying the groundwork to launch a Mao style cultural revolution. I would not be surprised if they attempt it if a Republican victory looks inevitable. But if it does come to that I don't believe they can ultimately succeed. Maybe in 4 to 8 years but not now.
I think we'll see Biden/Warren.
