Norwegian Muslims plan ‘ring of peace’ to protect Oslo synagogue

Islam is about protecting our brothers and sisters, regardless of which religion they belong to. Islam is about rising above hate and never sinking to the same level as the haters. Islam is about defending each other. Muslims want to show that we deeply deplore all types of hatred of Jews, and that we are there to support them.
We will therefore create a human ring around the synagogue on Saturday 21 February. Encourage everyone to come!Just as long as their Ring of Peace does not become a Crescent of Embrace.

After Al-Sisi overthrew the asshole Morsi, some Muslims went and protected Coptic churches because Morsi's bloodthirsty Muslims were actually planning on murdering Christians they could find. I actually have respect for those Muslims who stood up for Christians against real danger.
WTF are these assholes "protecting" the synagogue from? As far as I know there's no imminent threat of attack against the Jews from anyone but Muslims. So if anyone would know an attack was coming, it would be these folks. To me this is a pointless exercise designed to show the West that Muslims are oh so nice. This has no bearing whatsoever on reality. If an attack was coming, this "ring of protection" would be perfectly designed to stop the Jews from escaping the attack safely.
At the same time, the guys who are there to protect could easily turn into helpers of the attackers, and I think that's why cjk said "wait and see".
Two things stand out here. By "protecting the attendees of the synagogue" FROM devout Muslim "justice" as defined in the koran, sura and hadith, these 'security agents' technically commit apostasy. They all become targets of opportunity. As the psyche of these security agents comes to that realization, Pastorius' suggestion that the protectors could turn to aid and abet the devout to protect themselves.
As a Jew, I could not muster any faith in this type of protection, no matter how well intended by individual Muslims. Ironically, as an American, I have no choice - given this current administration's choices for national security positions. How freaking crazy is that?!
I think the Copenhagen and Paris attacks show the nature of ad hoc attacks against the jews. So if someone goes after a NATO target, you can bet they're going to go MUMBAI on something
I find it hard to believe Muslims are doing something nice to do something nice. Sorry. I'll believe it when I see it.

GalliaWatch: 371 Attacks on French Soldiers
Since January 15 the French army's "Opération Sentinelle" has protected 722 Jewish schools and synagogues, some 24/7 even when the establishments were empty.
The operation came to be regarded as too dangerous for the soldiers who were regularly targets of attacks. Over time the men were worn out.
The army has reported 371 incidents perpetrated against the soldiers standing guard in front of the protected sites. The Defense Ministry has announced that the men will become more mobile, rendering them less vulnerable.
The army noted that "reconnoitering, the taking of snapshots and films" by jihadists preparing future attacks had been going on. "Fourteen serious attacks, with a knife, laser, even blows with heavy sticks," were reported. One jihadist tried to grab the rifle of a soldier on patrol at Trocadéro (Paris) before being caught (and probably released). (Read the rest at the link)
