School Filing ‘Racial Discrimination’ Against Students Who Refuse Muslim Education

Is This Some Sort of Common Core Crap?

From American News:
Parents of students at Littleton Green Community School were outraged after they found out that if their children decided not to attend a controversial field trip, they would be officially deemed racist.
The trip was to a religious workshop about the Muslim faith, and administration warned that a “racial discrimination note” would be added to the students’ school records, should they fail to join.
As to be expected, parents did not take the information lightly, especially since the class consisted of children as young as eight years old.
“I was shocked by the letter. To be told my kids have got to attend this workshop is disgusting,” said Tracy Ward, a mother of four.
“Everyone should have a choice but that’s my opinion and I don’t want a stain on my kids’ record as a result.
“To be told we had to pay for the trip as well was just a kick in the teeth,” added another parent. “How dare they threaten to brand the children racist at such a young age. It’s going to make them feel like little criminals.”
Afraid of the disturbance they’d caused, the school quickly retracted their statement, saying instead that it was “important for children to learn about cultures and religions other than their own.”
What do you think of the school’s comments? What would you do if you were a parent there?

HOMESCHOOL!!
C-CS

My husband and I are blessed that we can afford (and make the necessary sacrifices) to send our children to Catholic school so this sort of thing would never occur. When my husband was laid off 5 years ago, it took him 9 months to find another job. The option we discussed if we could not afford school was to homeschool. Fortunately there would have been a support network available as there are 4 homeschooling families in a two block radius in our neighborhood.
My question is, does this particular school go to other religious houses of worship? Do the kids visit a Hindu Temple, a Kingdom Hall, a Coven....where do you draw the line? After all, aren't the kids supposed to be exposed to all cultures or just the one that beniffitted from flying planes into buildings which ironically provides it cover from all criticism? Do you get the mark in your permanent record if you child does not visit these places or is this just islam that's on the agenda?
Most people are unaware that that is a rhetorical question since quite a few textbooks receive large amounts of cash from the wealthy islamic countries for text books as well as "advisors" to make sure islam is presented in the best possible (and incorrect) light. Sections on islam in history books are larger than Judaism and Christianity. One states "Christians BELIEVE" while "mohammed RECEIVED" thus presenting Christianity an opinion, but islam as a fact.
Teachers also have paid workshops (one guess where the $ comes from) on how to present islam in classrooms.
Words that aren't presented in those workshops:
Taqqiya- lying to promote islam
Kitman- lying to fellow muslim if you feel your life is in danger (think the Sunni-Shia split & how well that goes)
Dawa- proselytizing
just to name a few.
