What a laughable argument this is

I looked at a recent (and pretty tedious) post on the leftist Captain Comics site about "defenders of the status quo" in superhero comics, and a poster named "Figserello" mouthed in with a reply that really collapses at the end:
I like to think Geoff Johns' work is especially useful to look at critically, because his approach was entirely vindicated by DC Comics in how they rewarded him professionally and put him at the centre of their superhero line, and in how his work was largely lapped up unquestioningly by the fans. We are seeing the core values of DC and a large section of their fanbase being promulgated in his comics, as exemplified above.

My point here is that Johns' work is especially representative of how conservative modern superhero comics are at their core. But then, superhero comics are an artform where producing a book starring a muslim female with a normal body is seen as a revolutionary act that makes headlines.
What a major LOL indeed. Sure, Johns's storytelling is some of the worst to plague the medium in the decades since it first began, and yes, he can present as awful a take on women as various other modern contributors to superhero books. But to say his work - or every superhero comic old and new - is "conservative" is naive at best, and at worst, is only seeing what the clown who wrote that wants to. After all, wasn't Johns the one who introduced a Muslim character as another Green Lantern, all for the sake of it? And there have been signs of liberal politics in his stories as much as any other writer whom DC's current staff considers legitimate.

And much as I'd like to think he/she is saying it's ludicrous that a Muslim female be one who isn't depicted exploitively, I've got a sad feeling that's not the case. This was the same person who attacked the Fables series for all the wrong reasons, and I've no reason even now to assume he/she has taken a different view. Talk about scuttling what could've been a nifty argument about the embarrassment that is Geoff Johns! All I see as a result is somebody who cannot come to terms with how their ultra-leftist beliefs are what influenced people like Johns, and now, it's coming back and biting them in the butt. When will they ever come to realize that their leftism is what's ruining what they say is their favorite pastimes?
