Insanity at work: father of British murder victim backs sharia law

Here's something most utterly crazy coming out of Britain:
JUSTICE campaigner John Clough, whose daughter was murdered by her bodybuilder former partner, has said he would back the introduction of Sharia law.

Today there are an estimated 85 Sharia law courts currently operating across the UK and Mr Clough, from Higherford, was asked to give his views as part of Channel 4’s 4Thought series.

And he has come out in support of the moral code and religious law of Islam, as he believes it takes the views of victims’ families into account.

Jane was brutally murdered by Jonathan Vass in the car park of Blackpool Victoria Hospital in July 2010. He was later jailed for life.

Ever since, Mr Clough and his wife Penny have worked tirelessly on Justice for Jane, to reform bail and sentencing laws, for which Penny was awarded the MBE in the New Year’s Honours list.

In the short clip, Mr Clough said: “Our daughter Jane was murdered by her ex-partner. We don’t believe Jane received justice for the crimes he committed against her. In sharia law, in the case of pre-meditated murder, the judge does not pass the sentence, it is given to the victim’s family and they can choose to have retribution, execution or they can have blood money paid. They can even choose to forgive.

“Had the decision been there to have him executed or sent to prison, I would have built the gallows, I would have carried out the deed myself.

“The Sharia system that gives the victim’s family some input is worthy of consideration. For me, for Penny, for my family to have some say in the punishment factor for the crimes he committed against Jane would give us some satisfaction.”

The programme makers had posed the question – ‘Is there a place for Sharia Law in Britain?’ – and Mr Clough’s contribution was one of five from people of different cultural backgrounds.
Now I think it's awful that the woman was brutally murdered and the pseudo-boyfriend never got the death sentence for his violent crime. But Mr. Clough is deluding himself if he thinks Islamic sharia would favor his side. If this case had been brought before a sharia court, it's more likely that the criminal would have gotten away with his crime altogether, based on the misogyny that's part and parcel of the Religion of Rape, and they could even use the fact that she wasn't married as justification for the murder, plus her status as a "kaffir" (non-believer in Islam) as an excuse for letting him off the hook. And even if she were adherent to Islam, they could still go the lenient route based on gender discrimination.

Hence, Mr. Clough's support for sharia is mystifying, and shows a complete lack of research on the subject.

Everything’s Fine: Egypt, Iran in secret summit to forge military, intelligence cooperation

So the Muslim Brotherhood, i.e. HAMAS, etc and the usual suspects,  and Al Qaeda’s Daddy, buddy up to the Shia Heretics.
Now, I wonder what such ENEMIES could POSSIBLY have in common enough to see them cooperate in ANYTHING?
Iran’s intelligence chief arrived in Cairo in late December 2012 to meet with Egypt’s political and intelligence leadership, Arab diplomatic sources said. They said Iranian Maj. Gen. Qassem Suleimani, commander of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps-Quds Force, discussed cooperation as well as terms for a reconciliation between the two regional powers.
“The Iranians have offered intelligence and security assistance to the new government of President [Mohammed] Morsi,” a source said.
The sources said this marked a major development in the attempt to reconcile Cairo and Teheran in wake of Morsi’s election in June 2012. They said Iran was offering a range of incentives, including energy exports as well as intelligence and military cooperation.
On Jan. 9, the Western daily, the Australian, reported that Suleimani was advising the Morsi regime on how to establish intelligence agencies independent of Egypt’s powerful military. The newspaper said Morsi has been frustrated with the refusal of the military-controlled agencies to cooperate with the new Muslim Brotherhood regime.
“[They] have refused to share information with the government or allow the Brotherhood access to their surveillance apparatus,” the Australian, quoting Egyptian sources, said.
Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi has arrived in Cairo for meetings with the Egyptian leadership. Salehi’s arrival came in wake of Morsi’s visit to Teheran in August 2012, the first by an Egyptian president since 1979.
The sources said Morsi sought Iranian guarantees that it would not intervene in Egypt, which has reported a Hizbullah operational presence.
They said Cairo was also under pressure from Gulf Cooperation Council states, particularly Saudi Arabia, not to form an alliance with Teheran.
“Morsi very much wants to form a foreign policy independent of the United States,” an Egyptian source said. “But these days Egypt needs the billions of dollars promised by GCC states, particularly Qatar and Saudi Arabia.”

Obama to Create Mass Organization Devoted to 'Dear Leader' Obama

From Will at THE OTHER NEWS:

(WhiteHouseDossier). By KeithKoffler.

The group, to be called Organizing for Action, opens for business Sunday, the day Obama is officially inaugurated.

If this type of organization has existed before in American politics on any similar scale, I’m not aware of it.

There are excellent reasons why we haven’t had mass groups devoted to powerful leaders in this country. Our whole system of government is designed to provide checks to protect against the accretion of too much power, to forestall mob rule. A mass organization that does the bidding of a single individual who also happens to be the president of the United States undermines such intentions.

I don’t think Obama has plans to do something nefarious with this group. I think he wants a streamlined organization that will help him achieve his domestic agenda. But once such an organization is uncorked, it is impossible to tell what path it and its leader may travel as the frustrations with governing grow or crises ensue.

Other mass movements in the United States, including the political Parties, are devoted to ideas or causes. They have checks within them, factions that debate and influence each other. But this one is the reincarnation of Obama’s former campaign and, presumably, it will respond to his dictates.

After the 2008 election, the campaign apparatus was at least nominally stuck within the Democratic Party and largely put on ice until the next election. Not this time.

What’s more, according to Politico, OFA will be classified as a 501(c)4 group, which means donors can give it as much money as they want and none of the contributors’ names need be released.Never mind that Obama has ardently opposed this kind of thing for years.
Known during the campaign as Obama for America, the group includes the millions of people signed up to receive emails from the Obama campaign and thousands of activists ready to man phone banks, knock on doors, annoy their lawmakers and otherwise make things happen for the president.

The group was superbly well organized under campaign manager Jim Messina, who will maintain leadership. Senior Obama operatives like Robert Gibbs, David Plouffe, and Stephanie Cutter will sit on the board. The group will no doubt employ many of the leftist community organizing principles Obama learned years ago in Chicago.

“We’ve got to keep working on growing the economy from the middle out, along with making meaningful progress on the issues we care about — immigration reform, climate change, balanced deficit reduction, reducing gun violence, and the implementation of the Affordable Care Act,” Obama wrote. “I’m not going to be able to take them on without you.”

During a Monday meeting to discuss gun violence with Democratic members of Congress, Biden told the small group that he and Obama have the campaign’s organizations at its disposal as it seeks to influence public opinion on guns.

Then again Thursday at the U.S. Conference of Mayors, Biden again made reference to building a campaign out to support Obama’s agenda.

We’re going to take this fight to the halls of Congress, Biden said of the gun control fight. “We’re going to take it beyond that. We’re going to take it to the American people. We’re going to go around the country making our case, and we’re going to let the voices, the voices of the American people be heard.”

Hmmm.....sounds almost like someone is planning to 'abolish' Congress all together.
In case there was any mistaking the very personal nature of the new organization, Obama himself announced it in an email to supporters and included a link to a video of Michelle discussing the group and mentioning things like “one of my first dates with Barack.”

Organizing for Action will put American politics on a new path. A treacherous one.Hmmm.......Flashback: "Video: Obama Blames “Founding Fathers” For Making It Difficult For Him To “Bring Change”But..."I will keep plotting"

"Obama Cares?" - Physical Illnesses May Soon Be Labeled “Mental Disorders”

From Will at THE OTHER NEWS:

Psychology Today.

By Toni Bernhard, J.D. in Turning Straw Into Gold.
Act now to prevent physical illnesses from being categorized as mental illnesses
DSM stands for The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders. It is often referred to as the The Bible of mental disorders because it’s what health care practitioners use to decide if their patients have a psychiatric disorder or notThe DSM-5—its 5th edition—is about to go to the printers and will be released in May 2013. It is published by the American Psychiatric Association (APA) which gave final approval to the DSM-5 even though more than fifty mental health professional associations petitioned for an outside review, and even though professional journals, the press, and the public vehemently objected to several changes that were made to this edition.
In this piece, I want to discuss Somatic Symptom Disorder or SSD—a new diagnosis that’s been added to the DSM-5. It has garnered little attention.
One exception is a recent article written by Allen Frances, M.D., “Mislabeling Medical Illness as Mental Disorder.” After you read this piece, I hope you’ll click on the link to Dr. Frances’ article. He has the best chance (via the number of "page views" on his piece and any comments you leave) to get your feedback to the APA before the DSM-5 goes to press
In my opinion, Somatic Symptom Disorder is a dangerous addition to the DSM-5.
The word “somatization” refers to psychological stress that manifests in the form of physical symptoms. In other words, a person’s physical symptoms are traceable to a mental or emotional cause rather than to a physical one. The current edition of the DSM—DSM-4—has a category called “Somatoform Disorder,” but it is so different in criteria from this new Somatic Symptom Disorder, that I won’t take the time to compare them. And Somatoform Disorder is being replaced by SSD anyway.
Here is the new DSM’s definition of Somatic Symptom Disorder. (Warning: you may have trouble believing what you’re about to read.)
People can be diagnosed with SSD if, for at least six months, they’ve had one or more symptoms that are distressing and/or disruptive to their daily life, and if they have one of the following three reactions:

Criteria #1: disproportionate thoughts about the seriousness of their symptom(s);
Criteria #2: a high level of anxiety about their symptoms or health; or
Criteria #3: devoting excessive time and energy to their symptoms or health concerns.

Are you doing the same double take that I am? That double take warrants repeating this information. Once again, here’s the recipe for SSD. Take only one six-month-old bodily symptom that is distressing or disrupts your daily life. Add to it one of the following: disproportionate thoughts about the seriousness of the symptom or a high level of anxiety about the symptom or about your health or devoting excessive time and energy to the symptom or to health concerns.
Can you see how this diagnosis potentially includes everything from a stomach ache to Cancer?
One more repeat, this time using a hypothetical: For six months, you’ve had bad gastrointestinal symptoms that have been disruptive to your daily life because you can’t be far from a bathroom. In the subjective view of a diagnosing health practitioner, you’ve spent excessive time and energy “devoted” to trying to figure out what to do about it (criteria #3)—SLAM—you are now suffering from a mental illness: Somatic Symptom Disorder.
In addition to well-recognized illnesses such as Cancer, Diabetes, Heart Disease, here are some physical illnesses that could easily come under this new criteria: Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Chronic Lyme Disease, Chronic Migraines, Neuropathy, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Interstitial Cystitis, Systemic Lupus, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, RSD, Gulf War Syndrome and other chemical injuries… the list could go on and I’m sure you who are reading this could add to it.
What’s the problem with all of this? I recognize that there could be a plus side to being diagnosed based on the DSM. Some health insurance companies won’t cover mental health treatments (from therapy to psychotropic drugs) unless the patient has a diagnosis from the DSM.
So if you wished to seek therapy or try these medications to help you adjust to the drastic life changes brought about by chronic pain or illness, it’s possible that this expanded definition of somatic disorders will allow you to get these services paid for by your insurance company. But the downsides of including Somatic Symptom Disorder in the DSM-5 far outweigh the benefits.
What about illnesses that can take years to diagnose, such as Lyme Disease, Fibromyalgia, Multiple Sclerosis, Systemic Lupus and other autoimmune diseases? If a patient is given a Somatic Symptom Disorder diagnosis early on after reporting symptoms, it’s highly possible that further testing and investigation into physical causes will be put on hold and a person would never get the proper diagnosis and treatment. I thought the rule of thumb in medicine was to rule out physical causes before settling on psychological ones.
Hmmmm.....Can't say that i like where this is going, my first thought is if they can put it in a different CAT of disease then probably compensation and or medication cost can be limited or reduced.Call me a fool but my guess it's a financial 'scam' to limit Obamacare costs.AND YOU WONT GET A GUN PERMIT!Read the Full story here.

Tourist destinations where only men are allowed

There are still some sites in the world today where, due in part to ludicrous religious beliefs of males, females are not allowed to visit. These include some rather predictable locations:
Saudi Arabia: If you’re a solo female traveler looking to visit Saudi Arabia as a tourist, you’ll have an easier time booking a trip to Mars. As of 2010, tourist visas to Saudi Arabia don’t exist, and visas for business and to visit family are notoriously difficult for Americans to obtain. On top of that, women who do travel to the country must be accompanied by a male relative in order to be granted entry. And even then, Saudi Arabia isn’t exactly a welcoming destination for females. Women need a man, or government permission, to do just about anything – Saudi Arabian women aren’t even allowed to drive.

“We hear nonstop all this bad press about Iran and how terrible Iran is, but Saudi Arabia is much more oppressive of women,” notes Michelle May, a San Francisco-based journalist who has traveled extensively to Middle Eastern countries. “Their human rights record and their treatment of women are far worse than Iran.”
I would just note that to say Iran isn't just as bad is foolish. I'd say, based on Iran's own human rights track record of late, that it's equally repugnant. In any case, the House of Saud is not a place where any civilized person should go, male or female. Any country that's going to take such horrifically sadistic positions on women as they do does not deserve to receive our hard earned money. They also forbid Jews entry, another reason to stay away.

And even in India, there's a problem along the same lines:
Haji Ali Dargah Shrine, Mumbai, India: One of Mumbai’s most iconic landmarks, which is dedicated to a 15th-century Sufi saint Pir Haji Ali Bukhari. The site, which also holds the saint's tomb, draws between 15,000 and 20,000 daily visitors of all castes, creeds and religions, according to the organization that runs it. But in July, a women’s group visited and found the Dargah’s most sacred area, called the sanctum sanctorum, had been barred to females. The shrine’s authorities claim that it is "un-Islamic under the Sharia Law" for women to visit graves and that they were rectifying a mistake that had allowed women to enter this area.

By November 2012, news of this development had spread, sparking outrage among many women’s rights groups that say the ban represents clear discrimination of women and that it damages the reputation of Islam in India. The state government has refused to intervene in the issue, which it claims is a religious matter, so at least for now, the shrine’s sanctum sanctorum remains off-limits to women.
I don't know who those rights groups are, but they're deluding themselves about Islam all the same, since they - and definitely FOX - have failed to cite any verses in the Koran to back themselves up.

There's some more examples cited related to other religious affairs, and all worth reading on how equality for women sadly has a long way to go before it can be fully obtained.

Tooheyville - Wayne Lapierre, your check from Mr. Axelrod is in the mail

One of the most amusing public relations messages from the ‘oh so lucky’ Progressive Movement’s enemies, is the message from the NRA attacking the young children of the President of the USA as components of some kind of hypocrisy because they are protected by the Secret Service.
We have the supreme gun nut attacking children.
The children of the president who wishes to restrain crazy gun nuts from using weapons the Marines use against Al Qaeda, from using them on … why …children.
I wonder if the likes of Paul Ryan, Mr. McCarthy from CA, and Eric Cantor have considered why the people who move to positions in the lead are ‘folks’ like, Akin ,Mourdock, and now LaPierre.
It’s just so easy.
Most amusing.
But hardly a debate, dear fools. ..Your Pal and heartfelt adviser, E. Toohey

John Galt’s REAL STRIKE Chapter Three - Malaise in American Defense

Never mind the FAA grounding 100% of Boeing 787’s last night.

Pentagon reports major defects in all F-35 variants

The Pentagon’s Office of Operational Test and Evaluation asserted that
all three variants of the JSF contained major flaws. In a report submitted
to Congress, Defense Undersecretary Michael Gilmore said the F-35 was being
hampered by design and production defects that emerged in 2012.
An F-35A fighter plane arrives at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida. /Lockheed Martin
“The lag in accomplishing the intended 2012 flight testing content
defers testing to following years, and in the meantime, will contribute to the program delivering less capability in production aircraft in the near term,” the report said.
The report, slated for release on Jan. 15, was submitted to Congress
amid the refusal by NATO members to order JSF. On Jan. 11, Turkey announced that it was delaying plans to procure its first two F-35As. So far, Israel, whose procurement of 19 aircraft was financed by Washington, has been the only foreign client that followed through on its initial order.
The Pentagon report said the F-35 was found to be vulnerable to an
outbreak of fire. Gilmore said the removal of protection systems from JSF in 2008 increased vulnerability to a Polyalphaolefin, or PAO, blaze by 25 percent.
“The program’s most recent vulnerability assessment showed that the
removal of fueldraulic fuses, the PAO shutoff valve, and the dry bay fire
suppression, also removed in 2008, results in the F-35 not meeting the
Operational Requirements Document requirement to have a vulnerability
posture better than analogous legacy aircraft,” the 17-page report, titled
“FY2012 Operational Test & Evaluation,” said.
The report cited a halt in testing of the F-35B short-takeoff and
vertical landing variant, sought by the U.S. Marine Corps. The Pentagon said
the tests were suspended in December 2012 when multiple cracks were found on
the underside of the fuselage. Other F-35 were said to have developed cracks
in their wings.
Other tests were canceled in 2012 because of aircraft limitations that
prevented the extended use of the afterburner. Other factors included higher
than expected loads on weapon bay doors and deficiencies in the
air-refueling system.
There’s plenty more
Oh and because of that:
As delays plague F-35, Lockheed Martin maintains F-16 production
Production of Lockheed Martin’s F-16 combat aircraft will likely continue at least until 2016 because of ongoing technical problems and delays associated with the much-anticipated fifth generation Joint Strike Fighter F-35.
As a result, the demand for the F-16 has spiked.
In December, Lockheed Martin’s then-chief executive, Robert Stevens, said that if the trend continued, demand for the F-16 would keep assembly lines busy into 2016. At that time, the F-35’s problems would presumably be solved and worldwide sales begin.
Since 1975, more than 4,500 F-16s have been sold to 26 countries.
A major boost for the current demand for the F-16s came from Taiwan. In 2011, President Barack Obama declined to sell Taiwan 60 of the newer F-16 C/D aircraft in order to appease Mainland China. Instead, the Obama administration decided to upgrade Taiwan’s existing fleet of 145 F-16A/Bs.
But Taiwan is still pushing for the newer model F-16s and there are increasingly more members of Congress sympathetic to Taiwan’s request.
Currently, F-16s are being manufactured for Egypt, Jordan and other Mideast countries. In December 2012, Obama told Congress that he was willing to sell 18 F-16s to Iraq.
The F-16 was designed beginning int he late 50’s, entered prototype and test in the late 60’s, and production began in the 70’s. This is 2013.
Between 1939 and 1945 the USA produced 5 new fighter types from Republic aviation, 4 from Grumman, 2 from Lockheed, 3 from North American, and at LEAST one from Vought (not even counting variants which were not selected for the Air Force and Navy and Marines  Since the F-15 and F-16 in the mid 70’s, we have produced the F-22 (186 active) and the F-35 which, as you see above, well….
The list of Soviet, then Russian, Chinese, and Chinese-Pakistani (yes, that’s right) fighter development is incredible next to this. I’ll do it some other time.
Next, we’ll take a look at Naval development..
These things are happening because the system now denies the rewards to individual achievement. This is just ONE area. Real invention, engineering and production …
The Kelly Johnson’s are GONE from America.

The ‘Balkanization’ of England and Western nations, and the cost of Islamic immigration “A Muslim patrol”

From Vlad Tepes Blog:
So what does it mean to have millions of Muslims in a nation, especially in an era of political correctness and moral and cultural relativism? Well here is a pretty good example of the latter stages of ‘No Go Zone’ creation, where the state cedes all sovereignty to hostiles and accepts the moderately paced erosion of the nation state, selectively applying all of its own laws only against the indigenous Western minded people to the advantage of the violent invaders. Why? Because governments prefer the illusion of peace and security even temporarily to the application of force on its own streets. Partially because of the ideology of those in charge, but likely just as much because of how the media will present it if the West fights back to enforce its own values on its own jurisdictions.
It could be added that the class with influence in England especially does not live anywhere near these “Muslim areas” and the class that does, is widely viewed as the great unwashed by the non-working class. And any attempt to even sound the alarm by the indigenous British who live in these areas are met with force due to the perversion of the constabulary from an organization that enforces British law, to one that guarantees political hegemony at the cost of British law.

Whistling Past The Newtown Graveyard

THIS is what everyone had their knickers in a twist about?

THIS is what had Sean Hannity hyperventilating?

THIS is a fucking joke.

THIS is feelgood measures.

THIS is a President saying listen to the children. I did and have done something about it. No, not the children here around me but the dead children of Sandy Hook.

THIS is Barack Obama and his crew shamelessly using the ghosts of Newtown to advance a political agenda without doing anything at all.

Which is typical of this crew.

Most of this centers around the tightening of background checks. Not something I object to except the way the checks are run as a whole.

For instance...

Say you attend a wedding as a young person and have just a little too much to drink. And are pulled over because you wobbled a bit. DUI.

Seven or so years later when you try to purchase a gun, with an otherwise spotless record, that DUI can keep you from buying that gun. I saw it happen just last year at my local gun dealer.

So I don't favor the background checks to begin with, at least not as they are.

There are some more onerous things in here, such as doctors asking patients about guns in the home.

My kid's pediatrician knows about my guns. And I about his. We had a grand discussion one day when the kid was down with something or the other. There'll be a fight on that anyway, especially since he is telling HHS to ignore his own Obamacare provision forbidding this (a new low for Uncle Barry, telling his own people to ignore a law he rammed through).

Number 7 & 8. . .gun owners ought to be doing this themselves anyway.

Number 11. Wait. You're executive ordering yourself to (finally) nominate an ATF Director. Ummm. . . is that like listening to the voices in your head?

(ATF should be a convenience store, not a Federal Agency).

And then there's some mental health stuff in their, so he can say to the pro-gunners See! I listened to you, too!

As for his legislative proposals he needn't have bothered. Boehner's "we'll take it under advisement" attitude pretty much said Ok Folks, let's put the chairs on the table until next time.

So all this was done to mollify his base. Mollify the anti-gun crowd. So that when it likely doesn't go through he can say "See, it was the Republicans that stopped it!"  And provide a bit of cover for his democrat pals who really didn't want to get on board with this and now don't have to stand in open defiance of their President and vote against it to pacify their constituents or go against their constituents (and lose their jobs) and vote with their leader.

He did it because Uncle Joe said he would, to save face and look tough. But he knew there was no way the NRA and 80,000,000 screaming bitter clingers (Do we have any bitter clingers in the audience tonight?) would quietly let him get away with Constitutional circumvention on this.

Meanwhile the real heavy lifting on mental health issues can be deftly avoided.

This is all shit. Pissing in the wind.

It is nothing more than Whistling Past The Graveyard of the Ghosts of Sandy Hook.

READ: Full List of 23 Executive Actions in Gun Violence Reduction Measures

At President Obama’s announcement on new steps to be taken in an effort to control gun violence in the U.S., the president will sign measures which will initiate 23 separate executive actions on gun violence.

It’s important to note that not each one is actually an executive order or presidential memorandum. The Office of the Press Secretary sent out the following list of all 23 executive actions.
Today, the President is announcing that he and the Administration will:
1. Issue a Presidential Memorandum to require federal agencies to make relevant data available to the federal background check system.
2. Address unnecessary legal barriers, particularly relating to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, that may prevent states from making information available to the background check system.
3. Improve incentives for states to share information with the background check system.
4. Direct the Attorney General to review categories of individuals prohibited from having a gun to make sure dangerous people are not slipping through the cracks.
5. Propose rulemaking to give law enforcement the ability to run a full background check on an individual before returning a seized gun.
6. Publish a letter from ATF to federally licensed gun dealers providing guidance on how to run background checks for private sellers.
7. Launch a national safe and responsible gun ownership campaign.
8. Review safety standards for gun locks and gun safes (Consumer Product Safety Commission).
9. Issue a Presidential Memorandum to require federal law enforcement to trace guns recovered in criminal investigations.
10. Release a DOJ report analyzing information on lost and stolen guns and make it widely available to law enforcement.
11. Nominate an ATF director.
12. Provide law enforcement, first responders, and school officials with proper training for active shooter situations.
13. Maximize enforcement efforts to prevent gun violence and prosecute gun crime.
14. Issue a Presidential Memorandum directing the Centers for Disease Control to research the causes and prevention of gun violence.
15. Direct the Attorney General to issue a report on the availability and most effective use of new gun safety technologies and challenge the private sector to develop innovative technologies.
16. Clarify that the Affordable Care Act does not prohibit doctors asking their patients about guns in their homes.
17. Release a letter to health care providers clarifying that no federal law prohibits them from reporting threats of violence to law enforcement authorities.
18. Provide incentives for schools to hire school resource officers.
19. Develop model emergency response plans for schools, houses of worship and institutions of higher education.
20. Release a letter to state health officials clarifying the scope of mental health services that Medicaid plans must cover.
21. Finalize regulations clarifying essential health benefits and parity requirements within ACA exchanges.
22. Commit to finalizing mental health parity regulations.
23. Launch a national dialogue led by Secretaries Sebelius and Duncan on mental health.

2 more noteworthy panels from the Green Lantern embarrassment

I found at least 2 more pictures from the Green Lantern zero special introducing the latest superfluous cast member for the GL series, the Muslim named Simon Baz that could use a good look. For example:
So a guard at the Gitmo-style prison where Baz is being kept calls him a "Muhammed". I get this feeling that Geoff Johns wrote that part as an attack on Frank Miller, all for daring to write Holy Terror almost 2 years ago. Well if he did, that's one more grave insult to the intellect he's committed.

And then:
Here's one more panel demonstrating that puzzling tattoo he's got, despite its going against the Islamic belief that tattoos are haram. The answer to the federal agent's question is: he's got it all so it can light up when the GL power ring is activated. But the funny irony is that in the end, Johns is not bound to impress every devout Muslim as a result of his weird choice for accessories.

"Benjamin Netanyahu doesn’t know what is good for Israel”

Barack Obama to Atlantic Magazine writer, and LONGTIME Middle East writer Jeffrey Goldberg.
This is actually an interesting and revealing quote.
The ELECTED leader, and apparently about to be RE-ELECTED leader of Israel, is in the opinion of a foreigner  a moron when it comes to the welfare of those who FREELY chose him PRECISELY for what he espouses.
I wonder how many foreign leaders feel PRECISELY the same way about Mr. Obama. I wonder how many Americans feel PRECISELY that way about Mr. Obama.
Telegraph UK

Barack Obama sees Benjamin Netanyahu as a “political coward” whose policies pose a greater threat to Israel’s existence than Iran’s nuclear programme because he does not know what is in the country’s best interests, it has been claimed.

The damning assessment of the Israeli prime minister, relayed by senior White House officials to an American journalist, Jeffrey Goldberg, is the most graphic sign yet of the toxic relationship between the two men, who have clashed continually over the stalled Middle East peace process.
Writing on the Bloomberg website, Goldberg quoted Mr Obama as repeatedly saying, “Israel doesn’t know what its own best interests are” in response to a spate of recent announcements for thousands of new Jewish settler homes in east Jerusalem and the West Bank on land the Palestinians want for a future state.
Mr Obama did not even bother getting angry after hearing of Israel’s decision to build in a highly-sensitive West Bank area called E1 – previously considered off-limits in deference to American pressure.
Instead, he told aides it was the kind of self-defeating behaviour he had come to expect from Mr Netanyahu, according to Goldberg, who is renowned for having close ties to both leaders.
The president believes each new settlement announcement is driving Israel towards a “near total” international isolation that presents a greater long-term threat to its survival than Iran’s nuclear programme, which American and Israeli officials believe is aimed at producing a bomb.
I wonder if it may be that now the PEOPLE OF ISRAEL have simply concluded there will never be a Palestinian State which is not dedicated every day to its destruction and have therefore determined to vote that way, and ACT that way?
I don’t know, but guess what? That’s THEIR CALL.
Never mind then, for in that case the people of Israel do not know what is best for them, Barack Obama does (according to his superior thinking).
I wonder how many Americans feel JUST THAT WAY about the USA right now?
That the majority of Americans don’t know what’s best for America, and that the evidence for this is WHO IS ELECTED?
I don’t care about settlements personally one way or the other. If the Palestinians REALLY don’t want Israel to exist though, what difference do expanding Israeli settlements make?

Egypt's Morsi in 2010: We Must Nurse Our Children and Grandchildren on Hatred of Jews

From Will at THE OTHER NEWS:
Following are excerpts from an address delivered by Mohamed Morsi, which was posted on the Internet on January 10, 2010.

Mohamed Morsi: One American president after another – and most recently, that Obama – talks about American guarantees for the safety of the Zionists in Palestine. [Obama] was very clear when he uttered his empty words on the land of Egypt. He uttered many lies, of which he couldn’t have fulfilled a single word, even if he were sincere – which he is not.

Dear brothers, we must not forget to nurse our children and grandchildren on hatred towards those Zionists and Jews, and all those who support them. They must be nursed on hatred. The hatred must continue
