Russia's Topol-M Missile

Via Drudge:
...The new generation of Topol-M family aims to counter the US-developed missile shield system being deployed in Western countries....
The ICBM's launch yesterday was successful and precise in hitting its target in Kazakhstan.

The ICBM was seen as far south as Israel.

They've been working on this,and a new ICBM for their NEW class of SLBM subs (the Borei class).


FOR GOD'S SAKE WHY?

We haven't initiated design for a new missile launching sub since the 80's, a new missile for since the 90's, and STILL HAVE MINUTEMAN III's from the 60's and 70's in out silos.

WTF?
