Ron Paul, Pamela Geller and Culturism at CPAC

At CPAC three positions on Islam were apparent. One was represented by Pamela Geller’s “Freedom Defense Initiative” conference. The second came from the Ron Paul followers. And the third appeared in the conference’s otherwise deafening silence on Islam. Culturism has a lot to say about all three positions.

Ron Paul’s followers believe that Islamic terrorist attacks result from our overbearing presence in the Middle East. Therefore, they recommend pulling our troops out of that region. As a culturist, I agree that we should not be nation building in Iraq and Afghanistan. As a culturist I believe the project of turning these nations into progressive democracies with respect for individual rights will fail because their cultures will not support such changes. And I agree with Ron Paul’s argument for disengagement based on our inability to afford these nation-building enterprises. Western culturists know that if the West is not solvent our values will die globally.

But none of Paul’s followers could explain why the Jihad in Thailand and India exist. Neither nation has military bases outside of their own borders. As multiculturalists do, the followers of Paul fail to appreciate that diversity is real and important. Diversity is not just about food, festivals, and fashion. Some cultures drop out of school early and think teen pregnancy is not so bad. Other cultures think our way of life is a blasphemous affront to God. Diversity is real and important. Overlooking the cultural aspects of Jihad will not safeguard us.

Geller’s event explained domestic Jihad initiatives. Whereas Paul could not believe that an aggressive Islam for Islam’s sake exists, Geller’s speakers clearly showed that it can and does exist. As a culturist, I agreed with their domestic solution. We need culturist profiling at airports. We need to limit Islamic immigration. That is not, by the way, racist - it is culturist. And, we need to recognize that western cultural practices and laws are the norm and standard in western nations. We should not recognize Sharia courts or allow, for example, veils in photo Identification. Unlike multiculturalists, culturists recognize that the West has a culture to protect and promote. Domestically Geller’s group was very culturist.

Culturism and Geller diverge on foreign policy. Culturism believes in national cultural sovereignty. Allen West said we should seek to defeat Islam, not Muslims. I am unclear how the two are to be separated. Quoting Ronald Reagan, he said victory means “we win, they lose.” That statement holds too little nuance for me. We all agree on bombing Iran’s nuclear sites and being aggressive in regions of Afghanistan that harbor terrorist. But culturists do not believe we will convert Islamic nations by the sword. If we want the sovereignty to pursue culturist policies domestically, we must also grant that right to other nations. We are not the world. We are the West. The idea that we will convert Islam nations by the sword is, as Ron Paul says, a dangerous proposition we cannot afford.

At CPAC the third position on Islam, and the largest, was overwhelming silence. Outside of Ron Paul’s “Why real conservatives don’t support the war on terror” meeting and Geller’s event, few deemed Islam worth discussing. Ron Paul at least wants to debate our presence in Iraq and Afghanistan. And Geller schooled the conference on domestic threats. We conservatives, as Americans and as Westerners, need to accept culturist position that our culture is not that of the world. Diversity exists internationally. Furthermore, we must shake off the multicultural position that the West has no core culture to protect. Geller and Paul have done us a great service in making conservatives think about the West’s relationship to Islam.

When too much arrogance is just not enough

It's amazing.

The other side is TELLING the democratic leadership what they have to do to recover, to recoup, to hold majority.

It's a simple message. It's objective.

Greek ..whom the gods would destroy they first make mad.
And it's so painfully clear.
It's unbelievable. Tragic, Comedic. Grand. It's bigger than the train wreck that frees Harrison Ford as Richard Kimble.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Barack Obama is expected to publish his healthcare plan as early as Sunday or Monday, combining features of the two Democratic bills passed by the Senate and House of Representatives, congressional aides and healthcare advocates said on Friday.

The administration's bill will aim to jump-start the stalled healthcare overhaul and comes just days ahead of a planned televised White House summit with congressional Republicans, who are calling on Democrats to scrap the bills and start over with a far less sweeping proposal.

Democrats are struggling to push healthcare legislation over the finish line in the face of sagging public support and solid Republican opposition bolstered by recent election victories in Massachusetts, Virginia and New Jersey.

General Motors Co. Chief Executive Ed Whitacre will receive a pay package valued at $9 million to help turn around the government-owned auto maker, according to a regulatory filing.

Mr. Whitacre, according to the filing, will receive a $1.7 million base salary this year. The rest of his compensation is comprised of $5.3 million in stock available to him beginning in 2012 and restricted stock units valued currently at $2 million.

The auto maker will pay former-CEO Frederick "Fritz" Henderson $59,090 a month beginning this week for consulting on international operations. The consulting deal surprised some GM executives. Mr. Henderson has not been working for the company since he resigned under pressure from the GM board.

Meanwhile, the republican party is so pathetic it takes this incomprehensible shambles to create a resurrection of historic calamity for the other side.

This administration is RUSHING to do wrong. To piss off the people. To adhere to a non existent mandate. To pass the non voted for agenda.

They are making products that ask if you miss Bush BEST SELLERS.

And they INSIST ALL THE WHILE they are doing the people's will.

Somewhere Ron is laughing, and crying.

Update from Democratic pollster Doug Schoen:
Sen. Evan Bayh's stunning decision to retire should serve as more than a wake-up call to Democrats. It should spur a fundamental re-examination and reorientation of the party's policies, practices and approaches leading into the fall election.
What then, do the Democrats need to do?
First, they need pro-growth, fiscally conservative policies. The tea party movement is not a Republican movement, and anyone who sees it as such is making a mistake. Rather, the tea party movement is a reaffirmation of a trend that has long been happening in American politics since 1964, with the move away from liberal, big-spending and big-taxing policies.

Israeli Victims of 2006 Hizbullah rocket attacks sue Iran's top banks in the USA

Flag of Hezbollah. The bottom text means &quot...
World Tribune:

WASHINGTON -- In the first such case, victims of Hizbullah attacks have filed suit against Iran's leading banks
Eighty-five people identified as victims of Hizbullah rocket strikes in Israel in 2006 have sued Iran's leading banks in a U.S. court. The suit in U.S. District Court in Washington seeks $1 billion in compensatory damages from Iran's Central Bank and Bank Saderat.

"The plaintiffs, whose family members were killed or who were themselves injured by rockets fired at Israel by Hizbullah between July 12 and Aug. 14, 2006, allege that the banks, which are controlled by the Iranian government, provided Hizbullah with over $50 million in financial support in the years prior to the attacks with the specific intent of facilitating Hizbullah terrorist attacks against American and Israeli targets," the Israel Law Center, which helped bring the suit, said.

The suit, which also included Saderat's subsidiary in London, charged that Hizbullah used funding relayed by the Iranian banks to prepare for the 2006 war against Israel. During the 34-day war, Hizbullah fired about 4,500 rockets into Israel, mostly targeting civilian areas.

"This is the first lawsuit brought by terror victims against the Iranian banking system," the center said.

The plaintiffs, comprised of Americans, Canadians and Israelis, have also sought an unspecified sum in punitive damages. Attorneys Robert Tolchin and Nitsana Darshan-Leitner were said to have based their claims on a 2007 determination by the U.S. Treasury Department that Iran's Central Bank transferred funds to Hizbullah via London's Bank Saderat.

"In light of the explicit findings by the U.S. Treasury, we expect that proving liability in this case will present no difficulties," Tolchin said.

Both Tolchin and Ms. Darshan-Leitner have represented Israeli victims of Islamic insurgency attacks in suits against Fatah, Iran and Hamas. For her part, Ms. Darshan-Leitner, based in Israel, said Iranian banks operate freely in Europe despite their financial support to Hizbullah and other insurgency groups.

"Without the funds transferred by these banks, Hizbullah would have been unable to maintain its infrastructure, train its terrorist members or carry out the rocket attacks," Ms. Darshan-Leitner said. "These banks, which operate freely in Europe, intentionally aided and abetted Hizbullah terrorism and are responsible for the injuries suffered by the victims of these attacks
Can this action achieve more than the murder indictments against Hizballah and the leaders of Iran currently active in Argentina?

I received an email today, supposedly from UPS stating they had a delivery failure with a package I sent in December. It states if I would kindly open the attachment containing the invoice I could retrieve the package at their "department".

Strange, thinks I, since I didn't send a package in December that wasn't delivered. Even stranger since the email came to my blogging email and I never send anything as Midnight Rider.

So I search engined this sucker and found out said attachment contained a virus, more specifically a Trojan.

Which got me to thinking (yeah, hang in their, gang).

Viruses are bad for your health. And your computer's.

So why call them Trojans? In my (seriously) misspent youth we all KNEW that the Trojans that came in the packages were to be used to prevent boys and girls from spreading viruses.

Don't forget to listen to
The Gathering Storm today 3:00 p.m Eastern, 2:00 Central, 1:00 L.A. San Fran, Seattle, 11:00 a.m. Anchorage (that's for my daughters & Mrs. Palin) and whatever time that all equals in Europe and Asia.

I don't think W.C., Always on Watch and I will be discussing Trojans but you never know. Pastorius has told me that Always on Watch can be a wild lady sometimes. . .

The Latest on the Fort Jackson FIve

Fort Jackson: The Latest
Erick Stakelbeck

This morning, I spoke to Army CID spokesman Christopher Gray and learned more details about a possible poisoning plot that I first reported here yesterday after CBN confirmed with Patrick Jones of Fort Jackson's Public Affairs Office and a reliable source with intimate knowledge of the investigation. Here is the latest on what we do know.

According to Gray, the Army is investigating allegations that a group of soldiers from the 09 Lima program (more on that later in this post) at Fort Jackson--which is based in South Carolina--had talked about poisoning food in the base's mess hall. The men were questioned about two months ago, around Christmas. Gray said that to protect the integrity of the investigation, he could not comment further. He stressed that the investigation is "open and continuing."

CBN News also spoke to a Department of Homeland Security official with knowledge of the investigation who wished to remain anonymous. The official confirmed that the investigation was ongoing and said that someone in the Lima 09 program overheard five Muslim colleagues talking about poisoning food at the base. The person then reported the men, who were brought in for questioning.

The DHS official stressed that after the terrorist massacre at Fort Hood, the Army is taking a zero tolerance policy towards any potential threatening statements and is now extremely sensitive about any allegations in that regard.

Terrorism expert Patrick Poole, an anti-terrorism consultant for the U.S. military and law enforcement, told CBN News that "if this incident had become public in late December while the military was still working on the Ft. Hood report it would have no doubt been catastrophic. What exactly happened at Ft. Jackson and why is this only coming out now? That's a question that Congress should be asking. "

"As noted in the Washington Times last month," Poole continued. "My colleagues and I have been warning of jihadist threats - both external and internal - for several years. The Pentagon has entirely ignored us and the Ft. Hood report released last month is evidence of the culture of willful blindness that wants to pretend this threat doesn't exist. Regardless of how the Ft. Jackson incident is resolved, it demonstrates that this threat is not going away."

I spoke today to Army spokesman Christopher Garver, who said the five men are not currently in custody. He was unclear whether the men who were questioned were U.S.citizens. And that brings us to another interesting wrinkle to this story.

According to my colleague, CBN Military Correspondent Chuck Holton, the 09 Lima program, which these men are a part of:

...is specifically geared towards non-US citizens who bring to the table one very in-demand skill - the ability to speak fluent Arabic, Dari, Pashto, or some other needed language. But these recruits also have a handicap - their grasp of the English language is not sufficient to allow them to make it through basic training. So the 09 Lima program puts them through a sort of pre-basic basic, where they learn American culture, Army culture and work on their English language skills. Once they finish the course, they are then able to enter normal basic training. It' is a very small program, with something less than forty recruits in each class.

Holton continues:

Here's the interesting part. According to Lt. Col. Frank Demith, these recruits are offered an "expedited citizenship program, once they serve one day of honorable active duty."

Military service has always been a way for non-citizen US residents to obtain citizenship, and thousands have performed honorably in service to our country before it actually became their country.

Though the Army must certainly have a thorough vetting process in place to try and avoid a scenario like that described by Erick Stakelbeck's recent blog, in the case of the 09 Lima program, the ability to receive "expedited American citizenship" must present a tempting opportunity for jihadi extremists with ulterior motives.

This is relevant not only because of the Fort Hood case, but because in the last month, there was an incident (see here) of an interpreter in Afghanistan murdering U.S. troops

Stay tuned to this blog for more details as they unfold.

midnight rider updates: if you see something say something. you never know what you might prevent.

anonymous in comments states:

It's reassuring to read that at least one 09 Lima program member reacted honorably and I hope this individual is rewarded appropriately. On this page, I want to say thank you to this individual so that this individual will know such consideration did not go unnoticed or unappreciated.

Rather than promoting the Hasans of Fort Hood fame, let's give credit to the folks that make a real difference and recognize right from wrong without fear.

It's not the Progessive agenda, not attempts to marginalize typical Americans as some fringe, ...

America is ungovernable
It's the PEOPLE

Amid the failures of another

From outside, at the Economist:

What's gone wrong in Washington?

American politics seems unusually bogged down at present. Blame Barack Obama more than the system

Feb 18th 2010 | From The Economist print edition

......the idea that America's democracy is broken, unable to fix the country's problems and condemned to impotent partisan warfare, has gained a lot of support lately (see article).

Certainly the system looks dysfunctional. Although a Democratic president is in the White House and Democrats control both House and Senate, Mr Obama has been unable to enact health-care reform, a Democratic goal for many decades. His cap-and-trade bill to reduce carbon emissions has passed the House but languishes in the Senate. Now a bill to boost job-creation is stuck there as well. Nor is it just a question of a governing party failing to get its way. Washington seems incapable of fixing America's deeper problems. Democrats and Republicans may disagree about climate change and health, but nobody thinks that America can ignore the federal deficit, already 10% of GDP and with a generation of baby-boomers just about to retire. Yet an attempt to set up a bipartisan deficit-reduction commission has recently collapsed--again.

We disagree ..
It's not the Progessive agenda, not attempts to marginalize Americans, ...

Excuses for Obama's Failure to Lead

By Charles Krauthammer

WASHINGTON -- In the latter days of the Carter presidency, it became fashionable to say that the office had become unmanageable and was simply too big for one man. Some suggested a single, six-year presidential term. The president's own White House counsel suggested abolishing the separation of powers and going to a more parliamentary system of unitary executive control. America had become ungovernable.

Then came Ronald Reagan, and all that chatter disappeared.

Ace Thinks He's a Teabagger

Motivated by his deep frustration with the current administration (and likely latent racism), he pulled his ladder off the truck, threw it up to the second story where people were being overcome by smoke, and when unable to talk them through securing it, climbed up the unsecured ladder anyway, made it safe, and helped five people down to safety.

Glass Worker Turns Hero After Plane Crashes Into Texas Building
Thursday , February 18, 2010

By Diane Macedo

ADVERTISEMENTA quick-thinking glass worker who happened to be driving by when a pilot with a grudge smashed his plane into a Texas building is being hailed as a hero after helping many people escape the inferno that followed the crash.

Robin Dehaven, a glazer at Binswanger Glass, was on his way to a job site when he saw the small plane approaching the seven-story building that houses the Internal Revenue Service offices in Austin.

"I first assumed it was a toy plane someone was messing around with, because it was flying really low and kind of going back and forth, turning left and right," Dehaven told Fox News.

He soon realized the "toy" was actually a small passenger plane; moments later, he saw black smoke billowing from the building.

"I immediately drove my truck over there, got the ladder off, went up to the side of the building and I saw people up on the second floor with their heads out the window for air because the room was filled with smoke," Dehaven said.

SLIDESHOW: Small Plane Crashes Into Austin Office Building

Dehaven extended his ladder up to the stranded workers and tried to instruct them on how to secure it, but they were unable to. So, rather than have them climb down an unsecure ladder, he climbed up.

"I climbed inside the broken-out window into the building with them," said Dehaven, who has a 3-year-old son.

"My ladder slipped a little bit actually," he added.

With the help of one of the men inside, he then broke another window near a ledge, and secured the ladder there so he could get five people out safely.

"I held onto their waists and their backs so they wouldn't fall if they slipped," he said.

Dehaven said the woman and four men he rescued all appeared to have been uninjured, with the exception of one man who cut his hand trying to break the window.

Police said that rescuers did an admirable job, and only two people had to be transported to the hospital. One person was unaccounted for, and there was one death: Joseph Andrew Stack, the pilot of the plane.

"It was surreal," Dehaven said.

But Dehaven's boss, Bubba Cepak, said he wasn't surprised to hear about the heroism exhibited by his employee of two and a half years.

"That's his deal, he just wants to help people out," Cepak told FoxNews.com.

Cepak said he thought the six and half years Dehaven spent as a combat engineer for the U.S. Army probably gave him many of the skills he used to execute the rescue. But he had no doubt where he found the courage to go forward with it.

"It comes from his character," he said.

Media Use Austin IRS Terror Attack to Slam Tea Party Movement

Well of course they do. I'd have been surprised if they hadn't.

By: David A. Patten

Smoke from an inferno touched off by an anti-tax fanatic pilot who flew a single-engine Cherokee aircraft into an Austin, Texas, building containing IRS offices hadn’t even stopped Thursday when mainstream media outlets began suggesting that the conservative grass-roots tea party movement is to blame for the incident.

Authorities say an individual believed to be pilot Joseph Andrew Stack III posted a suicide note online, set his house on fire, and then flew his aircraft into a building that housed more than 190 Austin-based IRS agents. At least 13 people were treated for injuries, and two were hospitalized, officials said.

Despite the fact that Stack's suicidal diatribe made no mention of the tea party, the Colorado Independent reported, "There will be more attacks.
Stack was not right or left. He may or may not have been a Tea Partier."

BusinessInsider.com ran a headline titled: "The Austin Texas Bombing Is A HUGE Image Blow To The 'Tea Party.'" The story reported, "We're not saying Stack was a tea partier" and predicted the media would "use this as a chance to smear" tea party organizations.

A piece posted on Time magazine's web site, meanwhile, did not contain the words "tea party." Yet it carried a link in crimson letters halfway through its report titled: "See the making of the tea party movement."

The most egregious example may have come from Washington Post editorial board writer Jonathan Capehart, who wrote: "There's no information yet on whether [Stack] was involved in any anti-government groups or whether he was a lone wolf. But after reading his 34-paragraph screed, I am struck by how his alienation is similar to that we're hearing from the extreme elements of the Tea Party movement."

Beyond citing apparently deranged passages from Stack's manifesto, Capehart did not provide any rationale for linking the wanton act to the conservative grass-roots movement sweeping the nation, which liberal commentators have ridiculed from the outset.

The seemingly irrational suicide note written by Stack, 53, stated in part: “I saw it written once that the definition of insanity is repeating the same process over and over and expecting the outcome to suddenly be different. I am finally ready to stop this insanity. Well, Mr. Big Brother IRS man, let’s try something different; take my pound of flesh and sleep well.”

Greg Holloway, a director of the Austin Tea Party Patriots organization that his wife founded, told Newsmax that Stack was not a member of the Austin Tea Party. His name does not appear on any of its contact lists, Holloway said. He does not know of any tea party leader who ever met him.

"First of all, it's a terrible thing that has happened," Holloway said. "The biggest concern anybody in Austin has, including people in the tea party, is the harm to people. Anybody being hurt is a horrible thing. Frankly, what happened today is the antithesis of everything we stand for in the tea party. One of our chief principles is the rule of law, and for someone to take it upon himself to attack a government agency because they don't agree with the way the law was written is everything we're against."

Asked his reaction to media reports linking the tea party movement to the tragedy, Holloway told Newsmax, "I think it's just the whole notion of a few people in politics, and I'll include some of the media, that everything is about political process rather than about people. Here you've got a terrible tragedy involving so many people, and the first thought is: 'How do I use this to forward my own agenda and to try to attack someone else's?'

"It's silly for anyone to take that tack, and it's actually dangerous. Everything that we do in the tea party is really designed to make people's lives better within the framework of a civil society. And government is part of that, and the IRS is part of that. We don't always like taxes being increased, but we can respect the people that work for the IRS and the job that they do. It's a terrible thing anytime that our civil order is attacked," Holloway said.

Holloway and national tea party leader Everett Wilkinson both expressed bewilderment that some media figures would link the movement to the Austin IRS attack, given that anti-IRS policies are not a tea party issue.

Tea party activists oppose high taxes and government encroachment on individual liberty but do not oppose the IRS role in collecting taxes, Holloway and Wilkinson said.

"We're against some taxes. We're not against all taxes," Holloway told Newsmax. "We have some proposals in some quarters on how to make the tax system better. But we've never attacked anyone verbally or any other way at the IRS.

"Again, the way to change any system is to fall back to our constitutional principles, and figure out 'Well, what's the best way to run the country?' And then to convince people at the ballot box to vote that way … attacking any particular group is just counterproductive," he said.

"I am shocked by the crash," Wilkinson told Newsmax. "As far as I know, Joseph Andrew Stack was not a member of the tea party movement. The movement is not involved in protesting the IRS, but rather government spending. Our best wishes go out to the families and people involved."

Rich Noyes, research director for the Media Research Center watchdog organization, characterized the mainstream media's inclination to link the attack to conservatives, without evidence to support it, as "obnoxious."

"I mean, this is what editors are for," Noyes told Newsmax, "to prevent this kind of impugning of a movement that represents millions of people with genuine grievances about the direction their government is taking, and some nut who is irritated with the IRS because he has to pay his taxes and doesn't think he should."

Fox News host Glenn Beck apparently anticipated Thursday that some in the media would link Stack's attack to conservatives.

"America," he said on his program, "We've got all kinds of problems. Violence is not the way to solve them. Do you want an entirely new system? I don't … I don't like the IRS. They audited me after I was harping and telling you about [Treasury Secretary] Timothy Geithner. Guess who got a knock on the door from the IRS? I don't like the IRS. But I don't think they're riddled with bad people. I don't want to kill them. And anyone who does should be in jail."

Said Holloway: "The whole problem with what we're hearing here today is … you know, there's a very disturbed individual. But to place any blame on any one group just doesn't make any sense."

NKorea Vows to Bolster Nuclear Force As Deterrent
Friday, 19 Feb 2010 06:58 AM

North Korea vowed Friday to bolster its nuclear force unless the United States dropped its hostile policy and removed nuclear threats to the North, adding that its nuclear program could not be traded for economic aid.

The reclusive communist nation also designated eight new naval firing zones near its eastern and western sea borders with South Korea in a move that could raise tensions.

North Korea quit the disarmament-for-aid negotiations and conducted a second nuclear test last year, drawing tightened U.N. sanctions. North Korea has demanded a lifting of the sanctions and peace talks formally ending the 1950-53 Korean War before it returns to the negotiating table.

The North's "nuclear deterrent for self-defense will remain as ever and grow more powerful ... as long as the U.S. nuclear threat and hostile policy persist," the North's official Korean Central News Agency said in a dispatch from Pyongyang.

The North's "dismantlement of its nuclear weapons can never happen ... unless the hostile policy towards the (North) is rolled back and the nuclear threat to it removed."

The North claims it was compelled to develop atomic bombs to cope with U.S. nuclear threats. The U.S., which denies making any such threats against the North, has called on the North to return to the disarmament talks that also involve South Korea, Russia and Japan.

KCNA's comments came amid diplomatic efforts to jump-start stalled disarmament talks.

North Korean envoy Kim Kye Gwan plans to attend a seminar in San Francisco before heading to New York to meet with Washington's lead nuclear negotiator Sung Kim either late this month or next month, the South Korean cable news network YTN reported earlier Friday, citing an unidentified source in Beijing.

In Washington, State Department spokesman Darby Holladay said late Thursday evening he was unaware of any meetings. Spokesman P.J. Crowley said last week that there were no plans for a visit by Kim.

Kim was in Beijing last week for talks with his Chinese counterpart on resuming the nuclear talks, and his aide met with U.S. Embassy officials in Beijing to coordinate Kim's trip to the U.S., YTN reported.

Officials from the U.S. and North Korea last met one-on-one in December, when President Barack Obama's special envoy on North Korea, Stephen Bosworth, visited Pyongyang. The bilateral talks were the first since Obama took office.

The newly designated "naval firing zones" are effective Saturday through Monday, Seoul's Joint Chiefs of Staff said Friday. The JCS, however, said there was no immediate signs of particular movement of North Korean troops.

Last month, North Korea fired artillery shells near its disputed western sea border, prompting the South Koreans to fire warning shots. No injuries or damage were reported.

The North has since deployed dozens of multiple rocket launchers in major bases along its west coast, Yonhap news agency reported, citing a Defense Ministry report submitted to the legislature.

The Defense Ministry said it could not immediately confirm the report.

Despite the North's move, South Korea said it will deliver anti-flu hand sanitizers worth 1 billion won (US$861,000) to the North on Tuesday, according to the Unification Ministry.

South Korea already sent swine flu medicine to the North in December after North Korea acknowledged an outbreak of the disease.

Muslims' duty to exterminate Jews in Islamic Holocaust

From Trencherbone:

'We must succeed where Hitler failed'

The Muslims' vicious anti-Jewish enmity (see links under 'Jews - attacks on' in The Index) goes back long before the establishment of the state of Israel. In fact it goes back to the foundation of Islam by the sick, twisted pervert Mohammed.

Muslims have a binding religious obligation to completely exterminate the Jews, which is commanded by Allah and set out in the Islamic scriptures.

This enmity originated when Mohammed tried to convince the Arabian Jews that he was the real Messiah, but his knowledge of the Jewish religion was so inaccurate that they rejected him as an obvious conman and probable nutjob. Mohammed then flew into a tantrum and called for the extermination of the entire Jewish nation. Here are some examples of the genocidal Muslim scriptures and how the Muslims explain them, in their own words:

Genocidal aspect of the Global Jihad
Muslims refuse to condemn and repudiate the hadith which reads: “The prophet, prayer and peace be upon him, said: The time [of judgment] will not come until Muslims will fight the Jews and kill them; until the Jews hide behind rocks and trees, which will cry: O Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, come on and kill him!” (Sahih Muslim book 41, no. 6985);

Israel is irrelevant
"Your belief regarding the Jews should be, first, that they are infidels, and second, that they are enemies. They are enemies not because they occupied Palestine. They would have been enemies even if they did not occupy a thing. Allah said: “You shall find the strongest men in enmity to the disbelievers [sic] to be the Jews and the polytheists.”

Third, you must believe that the Jews will never stop fighting and killing us. They [fight] not for the sake of land and security, as they claim, but for the sake of their religion: “And they will not cease fighting you until they turn you back you’re your religion, if they can.”

This is it. We must believe that our fighting with the Jews is eternal, and it will not end until the final battle – and this is the fourth point. You must believe that we will fight, defeat, and annihilate them, until not a single Jew remains on the face of the Earth.

Jews descended from apes and pigs
"As for you Jews – the curse of Allah upon you. The curse of Allah upon you, whose ancestors were apes and pigs. You Jews have sown hatred in our hearts, and we have bequeathed it to our children and grandchildren.. You will not survive as long as a single one of us remains.

"Oh Jews, may the curse of Allah be upon you. Oh Jews... Oh Allah, bring Your wrath, punishment, and torment down upon them. Allah, we pray that you transform them again, and make the Muslims rejoice again in seeing them as apes and pigs. You pigs of the earth! You pigs of the earth! You kill the Muslims with that cold pig [blood] of yours."

Kill them down to the very last one
"Oh Allah, Take This Oppressive, Jewish, Zionist Band Of People; Oh Allah, Do Not Spare A Single One Of Them; Oh Allah, Count Their Numbers, And Kill Them, Down To The Very Last One"

"Oh Allah, take your enemies, the enemies of Islam. Oh Allah, take the Jews, the treacherous aggressors. Oh Allah, take this profligate, cunning, arrogant band of people. Oh Allah, they have spread much tyranny and corruption in the land. Pour Your wrath upon them, oh our God. Lie in wait for them. Oh Allah, You annihilated the people of Thamoud at the hand of a tyrant, and You annihilated the people of 'Aad with a fierce, icy gale. Oh Allah, You annihilated the people Thamoud at the hand of a tyrant, You annihilated the people of 'Aad with a fierce, icy gale, and You destroyed the Pharaoh and his soldiers – oh Allah, take this oppressive, tyrannical band of people. Oh Allah, take this oppressive, Jewish, Zionist band of people. Oh Allah, do not spare a single one of them. Oh Allah, count their numbers, and kill them, down to the very last one." - http://www.jihadwatch.org/2009/01/muslim-reformist-oh-allah-take-this-oppressive-jewish-zionist-band-of-people-oh-allah-do-not-spare-a.html

'Imams and Rabbis for Peace' Taqiyya-fest
A Hamas cleric who once participated in an international conference of "Imams and Rabbis for Peace" -- whose delegates vowed to "condemn any negative representation" of each other's religions -- has wholeheartedly espoused Hamas's racist ideology in a recent Friday sermon on Hamas TV.

Ironically, this latest profession of Hamas's genocidal racism was preached and broadcast at the start of the month in which the UN is meeting in the "Durban II" conference in Geneva to condemn Israel as being "racist."

According to the Hamas interpretation of Islam, the Jews are inherently evil, seek to rule the world, and are a threat to Muslims and all of humanity. Therefore they are destined to extermination. In the words of Hamas religious leader Ziad Abu Alhaj, "Hatred for Muhammad and Islam is in their [Jews'] souls, they are naturally disposed to it..."

He asserts that because of the Jews' inherent evil, the Jewish state, "Israel ... is a cancer that wants to rule the world." One can find the details of the Jews' plan in The Protocols of the Elders of Zion, which he jokingly refers to as "The Protocols of the Imbeciles of Zion" (a play on words in Arabic). He concludes that the Jews are destined to be annihilated:

"The time will come, by Allah's will, when their property will be destroyed and their children will be exterminated, and no Jew or Zionist will be left on the face of this earth."

"Where Hitler failed, we must succeed.”
Incidentally, this is the same man who once said: “The Jews are destined to be persecuted, humiliated, and tortured forever, and it is a Muslim duty to see to it that they reap their due. No petty arguments must be allowed to divide us. Where Hitler failed, we must succeed.” So much for "interreligious dialogue" -- the purpose of the meeting. "PA Sheikh Interrupts Pope's Speech, Slams Israel," by Maayana Miskin for Israel National News, May 11:

A senior Palestinian Authority Muslim leader interrupted a meeting of religious leaders in Jerusalem on Monday night as Pope Benedict XVI was speaking. The leader, Sheikh Tayseer al-Tamimi, began harshly criticizing Israel, and ignored calls for calm. Al-Tamimi, who heads the PA's Sharia (Muslim law) courts, accused Israel of “murdering women and children and destroying mosques” and “destroying Palestinian cities.” He also laid claim to Jerusalem as “the Palestinian people's capital,” and called on those present to “defend the Palestinians against the expropriation of their lands.”

When Tamimi finished speaking, the pope immediately left the hall. According to IDF Army Radio, the pope shook Tamimi's hand before leaving.

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan — Pakistan will not turn over the Afghan Taliban's No. 2 leader and two other high-value militants captured this month to the United States, but may deport them to Afghanistan, a senior minister said Friday.

Interior Minister Rahman Malik said Pakistani authorities were still questioning Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, the most senior Taliban figure arrested since the start of the Afghan war in 2001, and two other senior militants arrested with U.S. assistance in separate operations this month.

If it is determined that the militants have not committed any crimes in Pakistan, they will not remain in the country, he said.

"First we will see whether they have violated any law," Malik told reporters in Islamabad. "If they have done it, then the law will take its own course against them.

"But at the most if they have not done anything, then they will go back to the country of origin, not to USA," Malik said.

Pakistani authorities working with the CIA arrested Baradar about two weeks ago in the southern city of Karachi, Pakistani and U.S. officials have said. At about the same time, Pakistani security forces picked up Taliban "shadow governors" for two Afghan provinces, Afghan officials said.

A series of raids by Pakistani forces have followed, netting at least nine al-Qaida-linked militants who were sheltering in Pakistan. Missiles fired from a U.S. unmanned drone aircraft on Thursday killed the brother of Afghan Taliban commander Siraj Haqqani, Pakistani intelligence officials said.

Taken together, the crackdown could be the most significant blow to the militants since U.S.-led forces invaded Afghanistan in 2001 to oust the hard-line Islamist Taliban regime for sheltering Osama bin Laden and the al-Qaida network responsible for the Sept. 11 attacks in the United States.

Pentagon spokesman Geoff Morrell said the U.S. was pleased with the recent arrests. He declined to say whether they were the result of better intelligence or an increased willingness by Pakistan to go after suspected militants.

"What I will say to you, yet again, is that we are enormously heartened by the fact that the Pakistani government and their military intelligence services increasingly recognize the threat within their midst and are doing something about it," Morrell said.

Some of those caught in the recent operations are key figures in the Afghan insurgency, while others are members of militant groups that operate just across the border in Pakistan.

Among those arrested were Ameer Muawiya, a bin Laden associate who was in charge of foreign al-Qaida militants in Pakistan's border areas, and Akhunzada Popalzai, also known as Mohammad Younis, a one-time Taliban shadow governor in Zabul province and former police chief in Kabul, according to Mullah Mamamood, a tribal leader in Ghazni province.

Others captured in Karachi included Hamza, a former Afghan army commander in Helmand province during Taliban rule, and Abu Riyad al Zarqawi, a liaison with Chechen and Tajik militants in Pakistan's border area, Pakistani officials said.

The Taliban shadow governors - Mullah Abdul Salam of Kunduz province and Mullah Mohammad in Baghlan province - were instrumental in expanding Taliban influence in Afghanistan's north, raising fears the insurgency was spreading beyond its base in the south.

Taliban spokesmen have denied the arrests, accusing NATO of spreading propaganda to undermine the morale of Taliban fighters holding out in Marjah against the biggest NATO military operation of the eight-year war. Thousands of U.S., British and Afghan troops are battling militants in the Taliban stronghold in southern Helmand province, a centre of the militants' supply and drug-smuggling network.

Baradar is considered a pragmatic Taliban leader, prompting some experts to speculate that he was captured so he could liaise with the Taliban leadership. Other theories include that Pakistan arrested him to thwart attempts to exclude Islamabad from any negotiations between the Afghan government and the Taliban.

Richard Holbrooke, President Barack Obama's special envoy to the region, swatted off attempts to link its timing with efforts to negotiate with the Taliban or an ongoing U.S.-led offensive in southern Afghanistan's Helmand province.

"He was picked up because the information was developed. It had nothing to do with anything else," Holbrooke told reporters in Islamabad.

Iraq war to be rebranded 'Operation New Dawn': memo

WASHINGTON: President Barack Obama’s administration plans to rebrand its military operation in Iraq “Operation New Dawn,” beginning September 1, a Pentagon memorandum shows.

The memo, signed by US Defense Secretary Robert Gates, shows the Pentagon approving a request to switch the name of the US military effort in Iraq from its current designation — “Operation Iraqi Freedom.”

“The request... is approved to take effect 1 September 2010, coinciding with the change of mission for US forces in Iraq.

“Aligning the name change with the change of mission sends a strong signal that Operation Iraqi Freedom has ended and our forces are operating under a new mission,” Gates wrote in the memo, first reported by ABC News.

The document, which is addressed to General David Petraeus, the head of US Central Command, adds the rebranding “presents opportunities to synchronize strategic communication initiatives... and recognize our evolving relationship with the government of Iraq.”

More tales from the 'DEMS REALLY GET IT' : Biden wants to do away with US nukes

The Obama administration will move ahead with Senate ratification of a treaty banning nuclear tests that was voted down by Republicans more than a decade ago, Vice President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. said Thursday.

In a speech setting out the administration's arms-control agenda, Mr. Biden also said the United States will continue to pursue President Obama's call for the elimination of all U.S. nuclear arms, but defended spending $7 billion in the coming year to repair an aging arsenal.

The administration is close to reaching a new Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START) with Russia, and is nearing completion of a review of U.S. nuclear weapons forces, Mr. Biden said at the National Defense University.

"Our agenda is based on a clear-eyed assessment of our national interest," Mr. Biden said. "We have long relied on nuclear weapons to deter potential adversaries. Now, as our technology improves, we are developing non-nuclear ways to accomplish that same objective."

Yep the Russkies and Chines are so afraid of our 21 B-2's, 12 Tomahawks a month (900 lb warhead), 183 F-22's, and those (what would be) hundreds or thousands of 300 lb warheads on our $12 billion silent missile subs.Especially since after one across the board salvo we are almost EMPTY.

Nuclear weapons prevented cataclysmic wars which have plagued humanity ALL OUR EXISTENCE.

They still do.

There is an irreducible minimum number of warheads beneath which no deterrence exists.

Hot Air Acquired By Salem Communications

CPAC hasn’t even officially started and already its making news. Mediaite has learned that leading center-right web site Hot Air has been acquired by Salem Communications for an undisclosed sum. Sources close to the deal claim that Michelle Malkin, the conservative pundit and sole owner of Hot Air, has been in talks with Salem for some time, but the announcement was timed to coincide with the Conservative Political Action Conference, which opens tomorrow in Washington D.C.

Hot Air is one of the biggest, most influential conservative sites on the Web and was launched on April 24, 2006, with Michelle Malkin as founder/CEO (though she remains editorially focused on her own blog MichelleMalkin.com and her own writing and television appearances.) Hot Air is managed on a day-to-day basis by editors Ed Morrissey and the mysterious AllahPundit, who are reported to be part of the deal in the sale of to Salem, and absolutely essential to the core value of Hot Air. We are told that, from a user’s perspective, Hot Air will remain the same despite the change in ownership.

Last Fall, Mediaite cited Hot Air as one the Top 25 most influential blogs on the Internet. This is what we had to say at the time:

As Mediaite’s Tommy Christopher, a personal friend of Morrissey’s, wrote in the preface of a recent interview with him, Morrissey “doesn’t jump on every right-wing meme that comes along, which makes the battles he does choose that much more resonant,” which is as true of his Hot Air stewardship as it was of his earlier work. At Captain’s Quarters, he made a name for himself mixing passion with nuance, dissecting what he saw as bad arguments with a scalpel. It didn’t hurt that he had a hand in taking down the Canadian government, thanks to a big scoop on a scandal plaguing the ruling Liberal Party that Canadian news outlets were gagged from reporting. All this while working full-time as a call center manager.

AllahPundit is a shadowier figure; in an era when most bloggers treat their names like precious branding manna, his insistence on keeping a pseudonym has an anachronistic, early 2000s feel to it. Like Morrissey, he made his name on a possibly election-tipping scandal — he was one of the small handful of conservative bloggers whose investigative work led CBS to repudiate a set of documents of uncertain authenticity that were critical of Bush’s National Guard service record. At Hot Air as before, he distinguishes himself from the often strident political blogosphere by maintaining a sense of humor and displaying a keen wit.
Salem Communication defines itself as a leading U.S. radio broadcaster, Internet content provider, and magazine and book publisher targeting audiences interested in Christian and family-themed content and conservative values. Perhaps their most relevant property to this transaction is Townhall.com which claims itself to be the #1 conservative website. The “About Us” section of its website claims “Townhall.com pulls together political commentary and analysis from over 100 leading columnists and opinion leaders, research from 100 partner organizations, conservative talk-radio and a community of millions of grassroots conservatives.”

Sources claim that are no plans to merge either operations or editorial efforts of Hot Air and Townhall, however it makes sense that one might begin to see much more cross-promotion between the two sites now that they are both part of the Salem family.

CBN Exclusive: Five Muslim Soldiers Arrested at Fort Jackson in South Carolina - Trying To Poison the Food Supply?

CBN News has learned exclusively that five Muslim soldiers at Fort Jackson in South Carolina were arrested just before Christmas and are in custody. The five men were part of the Arabic Translation program at the base.

The men are suspected of trying to poison the food supply at Fort Jackson.

A source with intimate knowledge of the investigation, which is ongoing, told CBN News investigators suspect the "Fort Jackson Five" may have been in contact with the group of five Washington, DC area Muslims that traveled to Pakistan to wage jihad against U.S. troops in December. That group was arrested by Pakistani authorities, also just before Christmas.

Coming as it does on the heels of November's Fort Hood jihadist massacre, this news has major implications.

Stay tuned to this blog for more details.

From Fox:
The U.S. Army is investigating allegations that soldiers were attempting to poison the food supply at Fort Jackson in South Carolina.

The ongoing probe began two months ago, Chris Grey, a spokesman for the Army’s Criminal Investigation Division, told Fox News.

The Army is taking the allegations “extremely seriously,” Grey said, but so far, "there is no credible information to support the allegations."

Five suspects, detained in December, were part of an Arabic translation program called "09 Lima" and use Arabic as their first language, two sources told Fox News. Another military source said they were Muslim. It wasn't clear whether they were still being held.

Grey would not confirm or deny the sources’ information.

The Oxymoron of the day bespeaks the left's delusion - WINNER Joe Klein, and TIME

nonessential necessities

Food is allowed in; Gazans aren't starving. But tight restrictions remain on construction materials for rebuilding homes and public buildings and on many of the nonessential necessities of life (Israel recently lifted the ban on cigarettes). Israel has suggested three conditions for lifting the siege to Hamas, which controls Gaza: no more rocket attacks against Israeli civilians, no arms smuggling into Gaza and the release of Gilad Shalit, the Israeli soldier kidnapped by Hamas in June 2006. The rocket attacks have pretty much stopped and the arms smuggling -- I am told -- is an issue that can be negotiated, but the fate of Shalit has been an insane sticking point.

Small plane crashes into Austin office building - Quoting a "federal official," CNN also reported that the unnamed pilot set his home ablaze before

The guy is an insane idiot.

Video from kxan - plane was full throttle upon impact

That's a lot of damage for a "small plane".

Starting to remind me of another incident. First reports, small plane ....

From the Star Telegram:

Quoting a "federal official," CNN also reported that the unnamed pilot had set his home ablaze before stealing the plane.

The pilot has been identified as Joseph Andrew Stack, television station KXAN reported.

AUSTIN -- A small single-engine airplane has crashed into an office complex in North Austin, reports say.

The seven-story office building, described as the Echelon building, is in the 9400 block of Research Boulevard, according to Austin fire officials. The site is near U.S. 183 and MoPac.

The FBI said there is nothing at this point that indicates that the crash is anything more than an accident at this time.

Initial reports were that the Austin field office of the San Antonio FBI were in the building, but it was later learned that the FBI offices are in a nearby building.

The nearest airport is Austin Bergstrom International Airport, which is some 15 miles away, in southeast Austin, and the crash site is reportedly on the flight path for that airport.

The Austin American-Statesman is offering live streaming video of the plane crash via traffic camera: here.

Austin-Travis County EMS Assistant Director James Shamard told the Statesman that smoke is visible for at least a mile.

The Statesman reported that two people were unaccounted for.

Does This Surprise Anyone?

Michelle Obama Stocks The White House Library With Books On Socialism!

Say Anything - I arrived in Washington DC today to cover CPAC and since I was in town, and since CPAC doesn’t really get rolling until tomorrow, I tagged along with some Scott Hennen Show listeners on an extensive tour of the White House as part of the Common Sense Travel Club. One of the stops on the tour (which was wonderful by the way) was the White House library.

Now, according to the person who guided our tour, the library is stocked with books picked out by the First Lady, Michelle Obama. Being a bit of a bibliophile, I started to peruse some of the books on the shelves…and lookie, lookie what I found :

By itself, this wouldn’t be that big of a deal. But in the context of Anita Dunn saying Chairman Mao is her favorite political philosopher? In the context of the Mao ornament on the White House Christmas tree?

In the context of Obama’s economic policies?

All your Avatar are belong to us !

List of organizations/causes claiming Avatar is THEIR allegory
  • Palestinian protesters in the town of Bilin dressed up as Na'avi recently to protest the Israeli occupation of the West Bank.
  • Bolivia's leftist President Evo Morales has praised Avatar as a "profound show of resistance to capitalism and the struggle for the defense of nature."
  • Chinese bloggers have compared the film's story to the exploitation of Chinese citizens by government-backed real estate developers -- a factor that may have contributed to the film being pulled from Chinese theaters.
  • Activists ran ads in the Hollywood newspaper Variety comparing the Na'avi to India's forest-dwelling indigenous tribe, the Dongria, whose territory is now threatened by a planned bauxite mine.
  • Environmentalists Lori Pottinger compared the story of Avatar to the Brazilian government's plans to build dams in the Amazon Basin.
  • Russian Communists described the film as an attempt to justify Barack Obama's Nobel Peace Prize.
  • New York Times columinist Ross Douthat called the movie "an apolologia for pantheism."
  • David Boaz of the libertarian Cato Institute says the movie is about "defending property rights".
  • Last but not least, Cameron himself says the movie is an allegory about the U.S. war on terror.

Personally, the movie struck me as a critique of counterinsurgency: the humans talked a good game about cultural understanding and minimizing civilian casualties to reassure the folks back home, but they were really just on Pandora to conquer and exploit.

Then again, it could have just been a movie about aliens.
