Hello Alexander:
I don't think a tsunami is needed. They are really worried about the consequences on tourism this video can have. If Western countries boycotted them as a result of this video (and the article 9 of Maldives' Constitution which states that a non-Muslim can't be a national of the country), you'll see how the things would change.
