The MSM Non-Story from Tennessee

Between the Times Square bomber and the Gulf Spill you haven't heard much in the MSM about the floods in Tennessee.

Like Revere said in an earlier post "There is no socialist political points to be gained from what happened to Nashville. No Big Business to blame. So the Obummah Administration can afford to waste this particular crisis."

Of course if Bushitler were president they'd be screaming to high heaven. But no matter.

The weekend storms killed 28 people and did their best to swallow Nashville.

The Grand Ole Opry House was flooded and will be many months until it can reopen. SO for now, it has moved weekend performances back home, to The Ryman Auditorium.

Damage estimates are one Billion dollars, as of now.

Malkin has a list of places you can help if so inclined.

Ed Morrissey talks about the disaster America ignored at Hot Air.

Thank you MR for keeping our story out there---I considered trying to keep updates up on my page, but I had my hands full, so I did the next best thing--emailed MR :)
We were completely cut off at one point, and that was when we heard the evacuation sirens, but there was no where for us to go. Keep in mind, while we live near the river, we are not in a flood zone, we are up in the hills. Who knew huh?

The weather reports for the weekend included rain, some locally heavy, but we get alot of rain and didn't think much about it. Then the rainfront stalled out and we had 13" of rain here in my community in less than 24 hours.

My own son had a very close call on I24 as he was making his way home. His truck was hit by a literal wall of water and was floated off the freeway. By God's good grace he managed to get back on the road and found his way home, but it took hours instead of the 30 or so minutes it normally takes.

We are the people the mainstream medial and liberal elites love to mock and ridicule as ignorant backwoods, hillbillies--but we are also the people who love our country and our neighbors and are willing to risk our lives to keep them safe. I don't think they can say the same.

Again, thanks Midnight Rider for keeping our story "afloat" heh...

God bless America and God bless the good people of Tennessee.

All we've heard from the MSM for a week is whining about that oil slick that always seems to be "just about to" come ashore somewhere. But the good people of Nashville taking care of themselves in a real disaster merits hardly a word. I don't know how anyone in journalism can look themselves in the mirror any more.

The MSM has become so despicable that the words are lacking.
