The Mythical Creature

I know the pic is about 5 years old but I feel it can go a lot further, my idea of a Mythical Moderate Muslim (M3?) is for him to don/eat/drink all the stuff that muslims have bitched about in the past (like those Nike Air Bakin allah trainers for example) while wearing a piglet t-shirt and drinking either Coca Cola (No Muhammed, No Makkah) or Pepsi (Pinch Every Penny to Save Israel).
your right it is pretty worthless. Another critic of Islam (I can't remember who exactly) came up with another word for them, kafarized Muslims. Since despite the fact that they see themselves as Muslims they don't live like Muslims.
How 'bout "Somewhat Less Alarming Muslims" or SLAMS for short.
Rejecting Jihad ain't going to cut it these days. Rejecting Islamic supremacism, Sharia, and more specifically Sharia Finance, along with any and all special "religious accommodation" ought to be taken as the new standard.
Oh, and some nice ruby slippers for me next Christmas, mm'kay?

Apologises, I meant something along the lines of say an Anti-Jihad Commissionable Artist as though many of us have pretty good ideas (and plenty of imagination to boot) on how we see the RoP, few of us have the talent to put mind to paper (or other mediums).
Whether it’s a Darlek-themed Burka yelling “Kill the Jews” in Darlek sounding Arabic set to Dr Who’s theme or an image depicting the spectacle of a modern day Moe picking up his “wife” from kindergarten much to the disgust of other parents.
IMO one of the main theatres in this war is symbolism as well as a picture or video summing it all up, say for example you hear a muslim bring out the tired “suicide is forbidden in islam” canard, one could reply with a video that’s along the line of say Brainiac (a UK TV show) with a “invincible” Stig-like character giving vivid examples explaining (not literally!) through silent actions, the differences between suicide (hanging, pills and alcohol, shooting ones self, etc) and suicide bombers.
Or even better, when a liberal or muslim prattles on about poverty one could depict something along the lines of a muslim definition of poverty being driving around in a BMW or Merc rather then a Bentley or in the case of the Glasgow attack a while back a Jeep Grand Cherokee.
Sadly, I think Anonymous is right. They can reject Jihad, but if they accept Sharia (which is the sister of Jihad), then it does us no good. Like Anonymous said, there must be no will to special accomodations, at all.
Even though in my original article, I add more things than simply rejecting jihad, maybe rejecting jihad is enough because jihad is striving for Allah. Specifically it is striving for the political goal of getting the whole world to submit to Islamic law (Shari'a).
Someone who rejects jihad also rejects Sharia, unless they define jihad as only violent struggle.
You could just as well call them SRMs (Shari'a-rejecting Muslims). And maybe that would be clearer.

Damien, I have coined a new term for the type of moderate Muslim you have described: JRMs (jihad-rejecting Muslims).
I know they exist. I know several of them. But we need a better term for them. "Moderate Muslim" is worthless.
