Remarks against Obama probed

Durham police conducting internal investigation; chief says it wasn't a slur

1984-movie-bb2_a.jpgDURHAM - Derogatory remarks toward President-elect Barack Obama made on a social networking Web site are now the subject of an internal police investigation.

A police department employee claims the statements were made on the MySpace pages of two Durham officers.

"There's no exact words that were said," said Police Chief Jose L. Lopez Sr. in a telephone interview Wednesday from San Diego, where he is attending the International Association of Chiefs of Police conference. "It wasn't a racial slur, but we're still investigating it."

Investigators, who are focusing on the context of what was written, have been looking into the allegations since Thursday.

Lopez wouldn't disclose what was said or identify the officers involved.

It wasn't a slur, but we are investigating. It wasn't a threat, but we are investigating. It was DEROGATORY, so we are investigating.

AMERICA WHERE ARE YOU?

Durham? What state is that?

I should know, but my brain is fried right now. Too much time on the computer today.

Obamabots are everywhere.

Folks, watch your backs. Especially after the BHO administration takes power and starts the "rule." (not "govern")

Imagine how tied up our law enforcement agencies would (have) be (been)if they followed through with similar vigilant investigation of slurs against George Bush.

Speak the truth but if you have to, "speak" it in a way that they can not identify or harrass you. There is an old tradition in this country of anonymous "pamphleteering" against those who try to repress free speech. The truth is the truth, it does not need your name or my name attached to it. If they make it illegal to speak the truth, then find ways to get it out there where they cannot silence you.

AOW, I've been listening to the interview with that Rosine Ghawji. What a nightmare these past dozen years or so must have been for her, and then to have that idiot bitch of a judge, Fields, try to force those boys to become Muslims. I hope people in her district will be able to force her from office. It will send a message.

Court?
We don't need no steeenking court

A message is being sent by what will be said to be some overzealous..someone..out of an abundance of caution

A subconscious milieu is established that HE is for the greater good, and that which detracts from the greater good is bad for the body of the nation.

Thus we must be noticed by the antibodies of good polity

What? No racial slur, just "some words"?

Clearly, dissent will not be tolerated.

Aren't liberals suppose to be tolerant? I wonder what else is only a lie about them?
