You Are Not Permitted To Write About Mohammed

Muslims continue on in their idolatry of the prophet Mohammed.

The story of Ayisha must not be written, because it mentions Mohammed.

Do Muslims worship Mohammed? I thought they were "Monotheists" who only worship Allah?

From Astute Bloggers:

"Starting in 2002, Spokane, Wash., journalist Sherry Jones toiled weekends
on a racy historical novel about Aisha, the young wife of the prophet Muhammad.
Ms. Jones learned Arabic, studied scholarly works about Aisha's life, and came
to admire her protagonist as a woman of courage.

When Random House bought her novel last year in a $100,000, two-book deal,
she was ecstatic. This past spring, she began plans for an eight-city book tour
after the Aug. 12 publication date of "The Jewel of Medina" -- a tale of lust,
love and intrigue in the prophet's harem.

It's not going to happen: In May, Random House abruptly called off
publication of the book. The series of events that torpedoed this novel are a
window into how quickly fear stunts intelligent discourse about the Muslim
world.

Random House feared the book would become a new "Satanic Verses," the
Salman Rushdie novel of 1988 that led to death threats, riots and the murder of
the book's Japanese translator, among other horrors.

In an interview about Ms. Jones's novel, Thomas Perry, deputy publisher at
Random House Publishing Group, said that it "disturbs us that we feel we cannot
publish it right now." He said that after sending out advance copies of the
novel, the company received "from credible and unrelated sources, cautionary
advice not only that the publication of this book might be offensive to some in
the Muslim community, but also that it could incite acts of violence by a small,
radical segment."

After consulting security experts and Islam scholars, Mr. Perry said the
company decided "to postpone publication for the safety of the author, employees
of Random House, booksellers and anyone else who would be involved in
distribution and sale of the novel."

If it involves Mo and Ayesha it could also be prosecuted under child porn laws:

"Come and sit on my lap, little girl" Mo whispered "and we'll talk about the first thing that comes up"

Yeah, no shit.

I hear Ayisha will be calling in to our radio show this week. I hope you enjoy it.

Funny, it seems nobody asked the author, employees, booksellers NOR anyone else who would be involved in distribution and sale of the novel... Thank-you, but no thank-you Random House...

So we're not concerned about a tale of overt pedophilia, but of soiling the pedophiles name? And of his defenders rioting in the streets? OhhhhKaaaay, that's so ironic it's rusty (rusty? (c)Wingless 2008).

For a Great "Prophet of Prophets, Reciter of the Final Perfect Word of G*d" Muhammed sure is sensitive. Somebody needs to pet and coddle that fragile self-esteem.

Denmark is waking up-Do you think the U.S. is awakening too.

I think a huge percentage of Americans awoke a long time back.

However, our leaders have not followed suit.

And they are not going to do so any time soon, if I'm not mistaken.

Thanks, we appreciate that.

Who is MM?

If you are referring to Maverick Media, you may be interested to know that that site was started by me and Pamela of Atlas Shrugs. Maverick Media was primarily made up of IBA bloggers. Maverick Media started when Google took IBA down for about four months, without ever explaining why.

Atlas Shrugs is a very good blog. As is, Astute Bloggers, Up Pompeii, Redneck's Revenge, and Saber Point, and most all of those who are in our sidebar under "Contributors."

Sadly, some of the best blogs aroudn, such as Western Resistance, have basically folded up shop in recent months.

LGF doesn't really focus on the Jihad much anymore. What Charles does, he does well, and there is a lot of great information to be had there if you mine his blog, but the Jihad does not seem to be his primary concern at this point.

Thing is, if you look at the world situation today, it is tempting to say, "The Jihad is not the problem it used to be."

But, I don't think that is accurate. I think the Worldwide Coordinated Jihad against the West has only gone slightly dormant, and in many ways is resting, and feeding on high oil prices, while we are weakening.

I think things are getting worse, while they look like they are quiet.

I hope I am wrong, but I take little compfort in the deafeat of "Al Qaeda" in Iraq.

Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Iran are our biggest problems anyway.

The "lull," a perceived one anyway, is all about strategy and hudna.

That Random House would be cowed is a terrible sign. It's a form of surrender.

It is also because they are no longer free to "work" in areas of the world that used to their playground. Now they need to sleep in different places daily, avoid technology, work through couriers. Bringing the fight to them is the only strategy that has proved to work this far.

Just giving credit where it's due. Under Clinton the Jihadis bombed, bombed some more, and then bombed some more. I bet even Bin-Laden was wondering: "why ain't they hitting me back, is America really that frightened of me?"

Pastorius said...

Wingless,
Yes, we are taking the fight to them and that is good.

But to quote a sappy old phrase from the 70's, "One nuclear bomb can ruin your whole day."

or, perhaps I should say,

"A nuclear bomb means never having to say you're sorry."
