Sen McCain, they are in Arizona....

Just sayin'

maglev1.jpg

Arizona-based Maglev Wind Turbine Technologies is apparently constructing a $50 million magnetically levitated vertical axis wind turbine in central China. The designers claim that the Maglev turbine will decrease operational costs by as much as 50% as compared to conventional wind turbines.

Some demonstration models have been constructed; however the big question is whether such technology can be successfully scaled up.
And the reason we are not seeing if this can be scaled up is???????????????????
Info HERE.

How well can a device pivoting on magnetic levitation withstand hurricanes, earthquakes and tornados?

What's the history of those in AZ? NM? How many in PA? WV?

Those are just problems to be solved. If we can mount the entire machinery of a nuclear sub on an internal raft to isolate vibrations, and make it impossible to detect via sound I have a feeling we can succeed.

I am sicking of hearing the problems, every single item of progress has problems to be solved.

Every one.

So what?

I asked that question, and deserve the answer I got. I hate it when I read all the negative feedback to alternate energy sources too.

Just look at the criticism being thrown at the available technology now . . .i.e. Toyota Prius with solar panels. You'd think the car was retarded or something. Even without the solar panels, comedians have a field day mocking this vehicle.

Our family happens to have one and it saves us a fortune on fuel, commuting 200+miles/day for work alone at 60 mpg. That's double what we got with our previous Camri, quadruple our previous Expedition. It has plenty of head/leg/storage room to boot!

Everything has it's limitations but together each technological advance plays it's role in defunding the jihad - a worthy goal.

The price of gas has gotten to be such that I am almost at the Prius stage.

Frankly, living on a lake in Maine I found this while looking for private wind generation.

Why leave it up to some utility or govt?
