When Peaceful Muslims Defend Islam

Peaceful Muslims will argue that the Koran does not sanction violence, can't possibly justify suicide bombings, and is nothing but a peaceful religion. I've seen comments by these Muslims here on the IBA, and elsewhere on the internet.

Listening to the peaceful Muslims can be confusing and frustrating for infidels who don't know much about Islam (and that's most westerners) because there are clearly thousands, if not millions, of Muslims who would call themselves true believers, who have gone to Islamic schools, and who are dedicated to killing as many infidels as possible. They quote the Koran, and they yell "Allahu Ackbar" as they blow themselves up. It doesn't matter if the more intellectual or peaceful Muslims can explain why terrorists are not justified. Peaceful Muslims are obviously impotent when it comes to stopping Islamic militants.

It really doesn't matter how the peaceful Muslims explain their beliefs. The terrorists think they're justified, and they're using Islamic texts to support their convictions.

Peaceful Muslims trying to convince us infidels that Islam is great won't help defeat terrorism. We're not the ones planting car bombs all over the world in the name of Islam. And peaceful Muslims will never convince the suicide bombers.

All I can do is rally my own teammates (fellow non-Muslims) against this threat, try to clarify the threat, and figure out what steps we can take to defend ourselves. Confusing arguments about what "kill the unbelievers wherever you find them" really means is a pointless exercise and gets us nowhere.

So my message to you peaceful Muslims who want to justify your religion is: Either help us defeat the terrorists, or get out of the way. Defending your version of Islam is interfering with the good guys and aiding the bad guys.

You can help us defeat terrorists by working to convert Muslim boys to your peaceful version to prevent them from being recruited by Islamic militants.

My message to non-Muslims is to urge you to read the Koran. Then you won't be confused any longer about what's going on. If you've ever tried to read the Koran, you know it's difficult for many reasons, but someone has fixed the problem. Learn about a new, readable version of the Koran.

Strange, But Not A Total Surprise

From this article in the October 5, 2007 edition of the Washington Post:

On a dusty street in south Kabul that still bears the scars of three decades of fighting, a 12-year-old boy is living the next chapter of "The Kite Runner," the best-selling book about friendship, betrayal and redemption in war-ravaged Afghanistan.

Last year, filmmakers came to the Afghan capital and, intent on bringing the story to the screen, auditioned 5,000 youngsters for starring roles. They plucked two local boys from obscurity and cast them as Amir, the privileged child who is the movie's narrator, and Hassan, his loyal, if underprivileged, companion.

For Zekeria Ebrahim, an eager and affable schoolboy with cheerful brown eyes, playing the role of Amir brought poignant reminders of his own past. Sitting cross-legged on his family's living room floor this week, he recounted his unscripted crying when acting in a scene about the loss of his character's mother, and explaining to the film crew how his own father had been killed in a rocket attack in Kabul just before his birth.

Now, in another strange blurring of fiction and reality, the filmmakers -- who shot the movie in China because of security concerns in Afghanistan -- have delayed the planned Nov. 2 release of "The Kite Runner" by six weeks while working to get Zekeria and the other child star, Ahmad Khan Mahmidzada, out of the country.

The move follows warnings that the two boys could face reprisal attacks over a scene in which Hassan, played by Ahmad Khan, is raped by an ethnic Pashtun thug....

"This is the mentality of the people in Afghanistan," which has a 28 percent literacy rate, Ahmadi explained. "People don't realize that it's not true. When they watch a film, they accept it -- it's real, why did they do it?"

The studio has offered to fly the boys to the United States later this month, where they could participate in the film's promotion and premieres. Afterward, they would reside in the United Arab Emirates at least through March, the start of the school year in Kabul....

The issue is a family's honor. Abdul Latif Ahmadi, the director of Afghan Film, tried to warn the filmmakers, but to no avail. Read the entire article HERE.

The following is a picture of the boys, from the Washington Post web site:

Ahmad Khan Mahmidzada, left, and Zekeria Ebrahim star in the film, whose premiere has been postponed to safeguard the young actors. (By Phil Bray -- Dreamworks)

A car bomb for Flemming Rose

Yesterday one of the four defendants in a terror case in Odense, Denmark’s third largest city, revealed in court that in the summer of 2006 a fellow conspirator had suggested building a remote-controlled car bomb and driving it into my private home in order to kill me.

The reason: the publication of 12 cartoons depicting the Prophet Mohammed in my newspaper Jyllands-Posten.”It was a bit of a joke, and we laughed a little, though I know that it wasn’t a laughing matter,” the defendant said.

Joke or no joke, the defendant acknowledged that in fact two men from the cell had a bit earlier detonated a bomb in a soccer field using a cell phone as the remote control. The purpose of this activity was to excercise their ”craft.” [yeah, I’m laughing heartedly about this… ].

The defendant is a 34-year-old Danish-born man who converted to Islam. He has provided the police with a lot of compromising information about the other three members of the cell. The convert told the police that AK, a 22 year old man born in Iraq, travelled to his home country in 2005 to become a suicide terrorist. The young man insists that he went to shoot a documentary.

Pajamas Media: Terror Threat Against Danish Cartoon Editor Flemming Rose

Storm Track Intimidation: Now that’s Hutspah!

You know that Swedish artist who drew pictures of Mohammed as a dog? Well, he’s at it again and he says he will not be intimidated by the thuggery Jihad of the Islamists. In fact, Lars Vilks is planning to carry the defense of his free speech a few steps further.

Defying threats, Vilks wants to turn the dog-prophet cartoon row into a musical.

Be all you can Sharia - HAMAS institutes muttawa - targets (SHOCK HERE) non muslims

GERTZ: The new Hamas regime has imposed a jihad police force in the Gaza Strip. Men and women morality officers, echoing authorities in Iran and Saudi Arabia, have been patrolling the streets and looking for men and women who don't dress or behave in accordance with Islamic morals. Cars have been searched for Western publications, women inspected for whether their hair was covered.

Naturally, those in the Gaza Strip who are not Muslims are already fair game.

Criminals who were put out of business by the Hamas regime now find that they could get away with robbing Christians.

One of the victims was an 80-year-old Christian woman in Gaza City who was beaten by a masked Muslim attacker.

The attacker with a stick and knife and entered the Rosary Sisters School and demanded money. His was the latest in a series of attacks on the Roman Catholic school. Hamas has not reported any arrests. Other attackers stormed the church and school with rocket-propelled grenades and burned Bibles and destroyed crosses.

I'm sorry to inform you Bill, but as clearly indicated HERE and HERE this is not crime, but has been regarded as a right and an ancient one from North Africa to the Chinese border from the 7th century on. Only our modern interruption to this 'ancien regime' convinces us, over here, that a crime exists. Over there it's back to the way things are supposed to be.

In the West Bank, Christians are also coming under increasing pressure.

The Palestinian Authority might hate Hamas but it, too, has been imposing Islamic law in the West Bank.
Don't tell me this is a surprise, Bill, please

New IRGC commander may have got the job for his PROXY WAR success against the USA

New commander of Iran's elite forces prepares for asymmetrical war with the United States

"Jafari is a professional that believes that any means justify the ends," an intelligence analyst said. "He is prepared to do anything to save the regime."

Mohammad Ali Aziz Jafari

  • Task: New commander of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps

  • Whereabouts: Teheran
Mohammad Ali Aziz Jafari, the new commander of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps, plans to focus on determining U.S. weaknesses in preparing for any war with Washington. Unlike his dismissed predecessor, Jafari, regarded as an expert in U.S. military capabilities, has eschewed politics for military strategy.

U.S. intelligence analysts said the appointment of Jafari marked Teheran's preparations for a war with the United States and a major crackdown on domestic unrest fomented by Washington and London. The analysts said Jafari would focus on the use of Iranian nonconventional weapons and terrorism in any war with the United States.

Since we know that Iran thinks they can damage the US economy and thus drive us away with $100+ oil, any takers on security in Elizabeth, NJ?

"Jafari is a professional that believes that any means justify the ends," an intelligence analyst said. "He is prepared to do anything to save the regime."

The analysts said Jafari was behind Iran's silent campaign to drive the U.S.-led coalition from Iraq. They said he organized the so-called Special Groups, comprised of Shi'ite cells trained and equipped by IRGC.

The Special Groups have become expertise in the assembly of improvised explosive devices, particularly the Iranian-origin explosively-formed penetrators. Special Groups operatives are sent for training either in Iran, Iraq or Lebanon. In Lebanon, the Iraqi Shi'ites are taught sabotage, EFP assembly and intelligence by Hizbullah.

Jafari has long been viewed by Iranian supreme leader Ali Khamenei as the professional needed for any confrontation with the United States. But Khamenei was cautious in dealing with Jafari's predecessor, the politically-connected Yahya Rahim Safavi, who was IRGC commander for a decade.

Iranians claim to perfect swarm strategy, will destroy US Navy

Iran claims exercises with 1,000 speedboats have perfected 'swarm strategy'

GERTZ - NICOSIA — Iran's military reported it had achieved a fleet of 1,000 speedboats as part of a swarm strategy to overcome U.S. naval superiority in the Gulf and the Straits of Hormuz.

Officials said the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps has procured the fleet over the last five years, with most of the speedboats delivered since 2005. They said the attack vessels have undergone a series of exercises to demonstrate the swarm strategy against the U.S. Navy fleet in the Gulf.

"IRGC is a major offensive and defensive force," outgoing IRGC commander Gen. Yahya Rahim Safavi said. "We have advanced technology, and we have equipped our troops with the most advanced equipment that can defend our national interests."

In 2007, IRGC conducted two major naval exercises in the Gulf that tested the swarm doctrine. The doctrine stipulated the use of hundreds of speedboats to overcome U.S. aircraft carriers and destroyers in the shallow waters of the Gulf.

The IRGC Navy has also installed a network of anti-ship missile batteries along the Gulf coast. Safavi said the military could detect and target any enemy asset in the Gulf and Sea of Oman.

Now that one is a concern

"We have surface-to-sea missile systems that can cover the length and breadth of the Persian Gulf and Sea of Oman," Safavi said in an Aug. 15 interview to Persian television. "No boat or vessel can cross the Persian Gulf without being within the range of our coastal missiles."

Safavi, replaced on Sept. 1 by Mohammed Jafari, said IRGC has revised its strategy to prepare for a confrontation with the United States and other Western powers. He said IRGC, a force of 125,000, contained a reserve force of 12 million members of the Basij militia.

"We are sure of our defense capabilities but of course we think about peace security and calm of the region," Safavi said. "The strategy is a defensive strategy."
As for the swarm strategy ....the speedboats com from docks and ports, don't they? If not....it's called the AC-130, or for more close in satisfaction ...say hello to, well, you know...

    Beliefs Do Not Have Rights

The following is an excerpt from an article called How To Beat Jihad by Ali Sina, an Iranian ex-Muslim, who makes some interesting points, and because he grew up in a strict Islamic country, his insight adds a unique perspective. Reprinted with permission.

Our responsibility is to awaken the non-Muslims and warn them of the danger of Islam. The danger comes from Islam and not the Middle Eastern people. Unlike Muslims, who discriminate, violate and abuse the human rights of non-Muslims, the non-Muslims have difficulty with discrimination. However, they must understand that Islam is just a belief and beliefs do not have rights. Humans have rights, beliefs don’t.

Muslims can become feral dogs if their religion is criticized. Savagery should not be tolerated. Those Muslims who choose to defend their religion with savagery should be locked up or kicked out. Dialog should be welcomed, but there should be zero tolerance for violence.

Once dialogue begins, Islam will be discredited and Muslims will be set free. Once their source of pride becomes a source of shame, they will no longer cling to it but rather will be embarrassed of it and would want to dissociate themselves from it.

The Western culture is guilt-based. The Eastern culture is shame-based. For us Easterners, everything is about image and how others see us.

The opposite of guilt is innocence. If your ethos is guilt-based, you have an inner police that stops you from doing wrong because doing wrong makes you feel guilty.

If your ethos is shame-based, all you care is to preserve your image. The opposite of shame is honor. You can do wrong but as long as no one sees it, your image is not tarnished and you can still be seen as an honorable person. In a shame-based culture, wrong and right have no meaning. It is all about shame and honor. If the stain of shame is removed, even if it means the murder of your own daughter, honor is restored. These are two very different worldviews. Unless we understand them we will not be able to make sense of Muslims and their minds.

Shame-based cultures are primitive. All Eastern cultures are shame-based even when they are not Islamic. Japanese culture, for example, is, or it has been, a shame-based culture. Our Persian culture is also shame-based. Proverbs like “I keep my cheeks rosy with slaps,” are telltales of a shame-based culture, where image is more important than facts. This proverb says that I may be starving but my pride does not allow me to let anyone know it so I slap myself to keep my cheek rosy. Because poverty is the source of shame as long as I hide my poverty, I have preserved my honor.

Islam is a fear-based philosophy that has taken root in a shame-based milieu. This is a very dangerous combination. When you combine fear and shame moral codes, you give birth to the most insidious ethos imaginable. That is Islam. Islam is an illogical doctrine that is based on fear and is defended through honor. This makes Islam more dangerous than Nazism. Muslims are not concerned about the irrationality of Islam or about good or evil. They are mostly concerned about losing face and upholding the image of Islam.

Israeli Raid Caused Electronic Disturbances Over Wide Areas Of Syria

Those evil Zionists are at it again. Innovating technologies by which they will, eventually, rule the entire world.

    This Christian says, Hallelujah!

Bwa ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!

The lid of secrecy covering the Sept. 6 Israeli air strike into Syria remains tight but one new theory emerging amid the speculation is that the Israeli conducted an electronic warfare exercise in preparation for future strikes or an attack on Iran.

Authoritative reports from the Middle East stated that the Israel operation included extensive electronic warfare jamming by aircraft. The Israeli were testing the capabilities of Russian-made air defenses, including both radar and missiles located near Damascus and south of Homs near the Lebanese northern border.

The raid was unprecedented in the blanket of jamming and electronic disruption that it caused over wide areas of Syria enroute to the target point, a base near the Euphrates River.

The jamming also affected parts of Lebanon and Israel but Syria was able to get a small amount of sensor information from one of its electronic eavesdropping stations and spot the Israeli infiltration.

The raid was part of a U.S. “masint” operation according to this theory, referring to the military practice known as measurement and signature intelligence that is designed to learn the chrematistics and capabilities of all weapons in a region that emanate electronic signals. The masint signatures are needed for targeting and for defeating air defense threats.

The daring raid would gain valuable intelligence needed for future strikes by both Israel and the United States in the region.

The U.S. military is considering attacks on both Syria and Iran to counter infiltration by insurgents and terrorists into Iraq, including the Iranian paramilitaries. Israel could use the data for its battle against Hizbullah and possibly a future strike on Iranian nuclear facilities.

Journalist Jack Wheeler raised this idea in a recent report when he stated that the identity of the target, whether nuclear facilities, missiles or Hizbullah terrorists is “not the story.”

“The primary point of the attack was not to destroy that target,” Wheeler said. “It was to shut down Syria's Russian air defense system during the attack. Doing so made the attack an incredible success. Syria is shamed and silent. Iran is freaking out in panic. Defenseless enemies are fun.”

Why do you think it is that when any other country in the world comes up with a new technology they are praised for it, but, when the Jews come up with a new technology, they are reviled for it?
    Michael notes:
As I mentioned in my letters to friends (Like Pastorius and other Infidels), the world has been put on notice in the most forceful and embarrassing way; Russsian missile defence systems (including those that ring Moscow)are useless. AND...the Patriot systems put in place earlier this year to thwart a pre-emptive Israeli attack on Iran's nuclear facilities.......are even less useful.

Al Qaeda Is Angry With Norway?

Who is Al Qaeda NOT angry with? (Thanks to Anonymous):

May 17-22, 2003: Ayman Al-Zawahiri ("Al-Qaeda's #2") explicitly threatens NORWAY in an audio tape.

May 22-25, 2003: Country of NORWAY shuts down consulates, embassies, evacuates civilians, and heightens military security and threat levels.

May 25, 2003: Mysterious "Boiler Explosion" on an unspecified CRUISE SHIP in the port of MIAMI

May 27-29, 2003: Reports indicate the SS NORWAY, flagship of NORWEGIAN Cruise Lines had a major fire and calamity the prior weekend.

If you knew a person who was angry with almost everyone in the world, including their own brothers and sisters, you would conclude that it is not worth giving credence to their grievances. You would also conclude that it is not worth dealing with them on a business or personal level.

So, why do we continue to believe that we ought to deal with Muslims?

Al-Quds Day Is The Main Headline On Drudge

The Fu2rman ( my radio co-host) and I were recently discussing the progess of the counter-Jihad. Neither one of us is nearly as negative as most of our compatriots in the movement.

In fact, I believe it is inevitable that we will win.

Just as I don't buy stock in companies who project negativity in their annual reports, neither do I put much of my thought-time into people who project negativity with regards to Western Civilization.

The reality is, Western Civilization has a millenia-long record of progesss. Cat Stevens (the motherfucking asshole who calls himself Yusuf Islam) wrote the song Peace Train about the inevitability of peace in our world. His song, and his, idea are an illusion. As long as human beings are human beings, there will be war.

We are not on a Peace Train.

However, Western Civilization has put itself on a Freedom Train. We are, without a doubt, on a Freedom Train.

The truth is, we can not turn back. We have set ideas into motion - the most important of which are that

    1) Freedom comes before virture

    2) A free marketplace of ideas allows for the inevitable improvement of society.

Once an individual, or a culture has set these ideas into motion, they, most ironically, have no choice in their destiny. A culture which has chosen Freedom is destined to become ever more Free.

There will be bumps in the road, and these bumps will be created by those who fear Freedom, but the reality is, the more Freedom there is, the more individuals and Cultures will choose Freedom as their base fact of life.

The Fu2rman and I are very bullish on Freedom. We believe that Freedom is the best investment out there. We believe that it will always, ultimately, win out. We believe that there is very little gain in negativity. Instead, we believe that the gains go to those who believe that the impossible can be done.

So, when you hear a counter-Jihadi predicting that we are on a losing path, take it with a grain of salt. In fact, throw the salt over your shoulder. They are contemptible Cassandras. They are the Chicago Cubs of the world. They are perpetual losers.

We are not going to lose. We may lose quite a bit, but let me ask you one simple question which I believe will answer all your doubts and fears:

Do you really believe that you and your neighbors are ready to give up all your shit?

Are you and your neighbors ready to give up the 3000 square-foot house? The Mercedes? The pool? The free porn? The fine Filet Mignon's? The advanced education you're planning for your children? The media that entertains you feed yourself on night after night?

We may not be willing, in theory, to say, along with our NRA brothers and sisters, that the only way we will give up on guns is when they pry them from our cold, dead hands,

I guarantee you, that's the only way we are giving up the Remote Control which controls our American lives.

Fuck any enemy who believes he can waltz in and take away the simplest of pleasures from an American. Go ahead, you stupid Jihadi-motherfuckers. Try to take away Denny's Restaurant from us. We all fucking hate Denny's. It's an abomination of culinary conquest. But, it is a pleasurable necessity on a certain morning when we need that just right pancake fix.

Try to take it away from us and you will be the one with the cold, dead hands.

Anyway, my larger point in bringing this all up is, one of the things that Fu2rman and I noted in our recent conversation about the progess of the counter-Jihad is that even mainstream media people like Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck have become unabashed about declaring that there is something inherently wrong with Islam itself. They have begun to speak out directly against Islam the religion. They have ceased to use the equivocation of "Islamofascism."

Clearly, they have realized that Islamofascism emanates from Islam itself.

When mainstream media figures like Beck and Limbaugh make such a jump into truth you know that progress is being made. Both Beck and Limbaugh make tens of millions of dollars a year. They will not risk their empires asserting dubious postulations.

They will only go for the throat when the throat is clearly exposed.

    That is the good news.

The throat of Islam is clearly exposed.
CAIR is on the ropes. The Muslim Brotherhood (it's waterboy on the college campuses of our great nation, the Muslim American Society) has been exposed. No one, who pays any attention whatsoever, believes the lies anymore. Because of political-correctness, few actually speak out. But, America is like a Clint Eastwood movie. We speak very few words before our enemy "makes our day."

The Muslims of our world are in very grave danger. And, like the star that exploded several light years ago, whose explosion has not yet reached the visual horizon of planet Earth, the Muslims of our world seem to have no inkling of the fact that their entire world is imperiled beyond belief.

Moderate Muslims of the world, let me warn you, unless you start to speak up soon, and loudly, the future is going very sad and violent for you. You will be picked up by the hairs of your beard, by the lengths of your burqas, and you will be thrown out of the saloon that is Western Civilization.

Of that there is little doubt.

You dare to wonder if I am right in what I am saying? Ok fine. Let me pose this question to you: Why is the lead article on the Drudge Report this morning in Arabic. The lead article is "Al-Quds Day."

When Americans have become so familiar with Muslim bullshit that Matt Drudge can lead with a story on "Al-Quds Day", then you know that Americans have damn near had enough. Western Civilization, itself, is not far behind.

Ahmadinejad: "Give the lands of Canada and Alaska to the Zionists to create a country for themselves"

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Iran's president, has vowed that his state and others would continue resistance until "all of Palestine is liberated" from Israel.

The Iranian leader on Friday was making the speech to mark al-Quds (Jerusalem) Day, a day of protest against Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories.

Tens of thousands marched through the streets of Tehran in support of Palestinians, chanting "Death to Israel" for al-Quds Day, observed annually on the last Friday of Ramadan.

"The Palestinian people are standing firm. The Iranian people and other peoples will not stop until all of Palestinian territory is liberated," Ahmadinejad said in a speech broadcast on state radio to mark the day.

"They [world powers] should not think that the Iranian nation and other nations in the region will take off their hands off the throat of the Zionists and their supporters."

Ahmadinejad provoked an international outcry shortly after his election in 2005 when he quoted Ayatollah Khomeini as saying the "regime occupying Jerusalem must vanish from the page of time", widely mistranslated in the international media as "Israel must be wiped from the map".

In his speech at Tehran university on Friday, the president also repeated his controversial questioning of the Holocaust, and what it had to do with Palestinians.

"The Iranian nation hates killing and considers Hitler and the executioners of the World War II as black and dark figures," he said. "But the Iranian nation has a question and as long as there is no clear and reasonable response to this question, it will remain." [The Iranian nation or you? Ahmmiiiiiii... ]

Ahmadinejad said "Zionists" should move to empty lands in Europe or North America and out of the Middle East entirely.

"Europeans cannot tolerate the Zionists in their region and country, but they want to impose them on the people of the region ... Give these vast lands of Canada and Alaska to them to create a country for themselves."

He added that "Iran is no longer willing to discuss its undeniable right to nuclear energy" - and he described the nuclear programme as a great victory for Iran.
At the same time, Iran is again accused of supplying weapons to the Talibans, this time it is roadside bombs.

US Army General Dan McNeill, the commander of Nato forces in Afghanistan, said that the discovery of more than 50 roadside bombs and timers in lorries crossing the border from Iran last month proves that Iran’s Quds Revolutionary Guards are actively supporting the Taliban.

The allegation will add to fears that the escalating war of words between Iran and the West could end in armed conflict between the two.

British special forces, believed to be from the Special Boat Service, played a prominent role in tracking and intercepting two lorries that crossed from Iran into Afghanistan’s Farah Province on Sept 5.

At the same time, Iran has signed a billion dollar gas deal with Syria.

Regarding HR abuses, a woman, mother of three, is going to be stoned, accused of having sex with someone in a video. The man has get over it with 100 lashes. Kamangir is asking for help.

Storm Track Disinformation: Islamic Taquia or Muslim Confusion?

Ever since 9-11 Muslim have said that everything had changed for them in America. But was that change discrimination by non-Muslims or by their own motivation to return to their faith.

    First the alleged discrimination.

Back in July of 2005, USA Today ran an article about how workplace discrimination towards Muslims has increased since 9-11. BUT, as I wrote in a post a couple of weeks ago:

Muslim employment discrimination cases are rising at an alarming rate. The number of judicial opinions that were formerly issued in an entire decade are now coming out in a single month. Meanwhile, the rate of successful Muslim employment discrimination claims remains extremely low. In fact, the total number of judicial opinions in which courts have affirmed Muslim employment discrimination is 12. That is not a typo - the total count is a single dozen, in U.S. history. How many total claims? Around 300 resulting in court decisions. I believe that this astounding fact shows that there is a growing effort to perpetuate the myth that Muslims in the U.S. are treated poorly. The more interesting question is why this type of religious discrimination claim is on the rise. Perhaps we should look to the Muslim civil rights organizations for answers.

Then this piece of weird news. There have been quotes by young Muslim-American women who said that after 9-11 they felt they had to put on the hajib to show her solidarity with Muslims.

Suter, Israel, the USA, Iraq, Iran, Russia and the tactics of war that create politics, instead of the other way around

Of course we all know what Bismarck had to say about war and politics.
Victor Davis Hanson has postulated that political reality is determined by the results on the battlefield however, and this time Hanson might be proved right. Let's hope so, because if not, there IS going to be a regional war. At least a regional war.

We see this last night from Ynet and Yahoo...

    Report: Israel 'blinded' Syrian radar
After Israeli missile strike on Syria confirmed by both sides, the question remains – how did Israel's non-stealth jets infiltrate Syrian airspace undetected? US aerospace experts tell Aviation Week magazine that Israel used new US-developed technology that lets users invade and manipulate enemy communication networks

After Syrian President Bashar Assad admitted that Israeli planes carried out a missile strike in Syria and after the media blackout on the incident was lifted in Israel, many unanswered questions still remain regarding how IAF jets managed to infiltrate Syrian security.

An article published this week on the aerospace magazine Aviation Week & Space Technology's website offers the theory of experts in the field on how the Israeli F15 and F16 jets – which are not stealth fighters – managed to evade detection by Syrian air defense radar.
US aerospace industry and former US Air Force officials told Aviation Week's Senior Military Editor David A. Fulghum that Israel must have used "a technology like the US-developed 'Suter' airborne network attack system".

Huh? What is Suter? From DEFENSETECH:

But perhaps the most intriguing family of systems being "readied for operations" is BAE Systems' Suter network exploitation programs, designed to "break into enemy networks to hear communications, see what enemy sensors are seeing and, in some circumstances, become the systems manager with the ability to manipulate enemy sensors."

"Suter finds the doors that have to be opened," an Air Force official tells Aviation Week.

L-3 Communications' Network-Centric Collaborative Targeting tool is considered Suter's "eyes and ears." With the system, three planes can pick up, within seconds, "the location (within a few hundred feet) and identity of enemy emitters -- radios, low-power cell phones and satellite phones, as well as other devices used for command and control and detonation of explosives... Plans are to have UAVs [unmanned aerial vehicles] or manned aircraft nearby that can deliver weapons or guide ground teams to the emitter's location within minutes."

A series of Suter programs explored the ability to pipe data streams -- embedded with specialized algorithms -- into enemy communications networks without being detected. The portals into the network are found by precisely locating antennas (as aiming points for the data streams) whether they are part of an air defense system or a hand-held communications device linked to others in an ad hoc tactical network for a small insurgent team.

However, there's the possibility that [the new gear] could interfere with [existing] U.S. [military] technology. Baghdad, where the force buildup is expected, is electronically polluted. For example, one smart system that jammed improvised explosive devices locked onto another smart system because of a lack of coordination between electronic warfare systems operated by different services and agencies. Jammers also can conflict with surveillance and communication systems... The problem is so pervasive that antennas have been put on 110-ft.-high poles to get them out of the worst interference.

    Robotman On Iraqi Threat: 1992

Al Gore has me convinced, Saddam has got to go.

Al Gore is very upset of the "Reagan-Bush" administration turning a blind eye to Saddam's support of global terrorism, as he should be. And Al Gore is really, upset about the "Reagan-Bush" administration ignoring Saddam's nuclear weapons program. The USS Stark attack a major problem, "I demanded tough action."

"In September 1989...the CIA reported...that Iraq was clandestinely procuring nuclear weapons technology through a global network of front companies...this nation with a record of terrorism continuing was making a sustained concerted effort to acquire weapons of mass destruction...and Bush looked the other war." Hmmm.

    Pentagon Infiltrated by the Borg

    Guest Commentary by Edward Cline:

If you want to measure the progressive success of what the Muslim Brotherhood calls in its manifesto “Civilization Jihad” (or what Steven Emerson or Robert Spencer would call “cultural jihad”), one need look no further than the front page of The Washington Times of October 3rd. At the bottom is the headline, “Pentagon observes Muslim holy month,” accompanied by a color photograph of several people, some in uniform, others not, bowing east to Mecca. Up front are all the shoeless men; far in the rear, women in hijibs and caftans.

“Navy imam Chaplain Abuhena M. Saifulisam lifted his voice to God as he called to prayer more than 100 Department of Defense employees Monday at a celebration of Ramadan at the Pentagon.

“’God is most great,’ sang the lieutenant commander and Islamic leader, in Arabic, as iftar – the end of the daily fast – began.”

Isn’t that what Mohammad Atta and his fellow kamikaze “warriors” yelled as they flew their hijacked planes into the Pentagon, the World Trade Center, and a Pennsylvania field on 9/11? So, the religion that was “hijacked,” according to President Bush, has penetrated the Pentagon again.

“As the Pentagon celebrated Ramadan, the White House is in preparations for an iftar feast tomorrow, said Lt. Commander Saifulislam, who will be participating at the White House events.

“’President and Mrs. Bush host an iftar dinner every year because they want people around the world to know how much they respect Islam and the many Muslims living in the U.S. who are free to worship as they want, and are an integral part of our society,’ said Gordon Johndroe, spokesman for the White House National Security Council.”

Consider the “war against terrorism” lost then. After all, President Bush not only “respects” Islam, the born-again Christian also hears God speaking to him.

“’We live in a great nation,’ said master of ceremonies Lt. Col. Timothy Oldenburg, a Muslim. ‘Yes, it is our First Amendment right to do that – to practice our religion the way we feel, to worship God and to come to the Pentagon and celebrate Ramadan.’”

Timothy Oldenburg? He must be a convert who “embraced” the creed. Does he have a secret Arabic-style name? Most Western Islamic converts usually adopt one. A photo of him also accompanies The Washington Times article. It shows a beardless, smiling face, bland except for glassy eyes sparkling with flinty, defensive sanctimony. Why is demonstrating his obeisance to Allah in the Pentagon so important to him? Aren’t taxpayers’ dollars already being wasted in the “war on terror”? Must they also subsidize multi-denominational chapels and a wayside mosque, as well?

If Sharia law gains legal ground as a legitimate moral code and begins to insinuate itself into American civil law – as various American Muslim groups are working to do – of what value will be the First Amendment?

Once upon a time, there was a separation of church and state. Doubtless in less religion-conscious times, Pentagon employees practiced their “faith” elsewhere, that is, outside the Pentagon. I have not been to the Pentagon, but there were and probably still are multi-denominational “chapels” throughout the maze, but before 9/11, not one Muslim prayer room, outfitted with prayer rugs and whatever other paraphernalia Muslims need to do the Holy Hokey-Pokey.

If the establishment of Muslim prayer rooms in the Pentagon post-dates 9/11, it must be a consequence of President Bush’s “outreach” policy to the moderate Borg.

Here is the First Amendment: “Congress shall make no law respecting the establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech or of the press; or the right of the people to freely assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.”

It could be argued that the taxpayer subsidy of the means with which Oldenburg and his fellow Muslims can freely exercise their Islamic Druidism in the Pentagon constitutes a de facto establishment of religion. The same argument can be made against the Christian chapels. If they want to freely assemble to freely exercise their various ghost-worshipping delusions, they can do it elsewhere, not on property taxpayers are maintaining with their confiscated dollars.

(Coincidentally, when I was in the Air Force, I questioned the propriety of churches on military bases.)

“’We do all we can to help meet the religious needs of our soldiers,’ said Deputy Pentagon Chaplain Army Maj. Alan Pomaville, a Christian, who attended the iftar alongside the Muslim chaplains. ‘The leadership in the [Defense Department] wants to care for the body of the whole soldier.’”

But, apparently, not care enough to win a war. Not even the wrong one.

“The Navy’s chief of chaplains, Rear Adm. Robert F. Burt, reminded those attending the ceremony that American men and women, regardless of their religious background, should be honored because all ‘are willing to put their uniform on and lay down their life for this country.’” [Sic]

The egregious grammar aside, what is the rear admiral’s point? Should it make a difference to anyone whether these soldiers are Methodists, Muslims, Catholics, or members of some other sect of ghost-worshipers?

“Lt. Cmdr. Saifulislam said he has presided over funerals of young Muslims service members who have given their lives in the fight against terrorism.” Did he mention they were killed by fellow Muslims? No.

“The first Muslim U.S. congressman – Rep. Keith Ellison, Minnesota Democrat – also attended the iftar, along with Imam Sheik Rashid Lamptey, executive director of the Muslim Association of Virginia….

“As the night’s festivities concluded, Lt. Col. Oldenburg presented Sheik Lamptey with an American flag that flew over the Pentagon on September 7.”

Doubtless the sheik will use it as a prayer rug, first having a humble Muslim seamstress alter it to replace the 50 stars in the blue canton with a big white crescent on a green canton (the Saudi colors).

“’It is not a choice for us to know each other,’ said Lt. Cmdr. Saifulislam regarding the diversity in the U.S. and military. ‘It is a necessity for us to know each other.’”

I must agree, but with the proviso that I like to know my enemy. All things are not bright and beautiful, least of all Islam.

Speaking of Virginia, there was a minor flap over Governor Timothy Kaine’s appointment of a Muslim, Dr. Esam Omeish, a northern Virginia surgeon and president of the Muslim American Society, to the Virginia Commission on Immigration. When someone reminded the governor that MAS is linked to the Muslim Brotherhood, the mother of all Islamic jihadist organizations, Omeish was asked to resign from the appointment.

Omeish claimed that he was forced out as a result of a “right wing” smear campaign and “Islamophobia.” But, he “smeared” himself when excerpts of his speeches, which called for violent jihad – the “jihad way” – against Israel in support of the Palestinians, appeared on YouTube, and were communicated to Governor Kaine and widely publicized.

In an Associated Press article in the Daily Press of September 29, “Right-wing campaign blamed for ouster,” Omeish is reported to have said at a September 28 press conference that his use of the term “jihad” was misinterpreted. “’It is not a call for violence. We never condone terrorists,’ Omeish said of his speeches on behalf of the Palestinians. ‘We have been very clear from the beginning. It is the same every time we speak. It’s consistent based on our beliefs.’”

This man is blessed with the “gift of tongues.”

“Jihad,” insists Omeish and his brethren, merely means a personal “struggle.” But, a “struggle” against what? Reason? Freedom? Being Westernized? Succumbing to the liberty of smoking, eating, drinking, ogling beautiful girls, and chewing gum during Ramadan? It’s a “spiritual” struggle, they claim. Well, Atta and his fellow zombies won their “spiritual struggle” and attained a complete state of self-annihilation, together with the annihilation of 3,000 people.

That is “the jihad way” in its most personal, essential, and fundamental meaning.

No, activist Muslims never “condone terrorists,” not publicly. That is part and parcel of their Janus-like practice of taqiya, or Mohammad-sanctioned dissimilation for the infidels and the dhimmis, current and future. Among themselves, and in mosques, their rhetoric is fiery and more to the point. He is right that what he said in his speeches is “consistent” with his beliefs. Orwell had a term for that kind of consistency: doublethink.

“Some anti-terror groups [read Steve Emerson, Daniel Pipes, Robert Spencer, God forbid they get the free publicity that “moderate” Muslims get],” goes the AP article, “have for years been critical of the Muslim American Society, alleging that it is essentially a front group for Islamic radicals and citing links to the Muslim Brotherhood, a popular movement in the Muslim world that advocates the formation of Islamic governments in the Middle East.”

This piece of news must take the award for disingenuous “reporting.” The “alleged” links have been thoroughly documented by Emerson, Pipes, Spencer, Wafa Sultan, and others. And, the Brotherhood advocates not only forming Islamic governments in the Middle East, but in the West, as well.

Again, from the Muslim Brotherhood’s manifesto:

“The Ikhwan [invaders, the Borg, the Orcs, fifth columnists, what have you] must understand that all their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and ‘sabotaging’ their miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God’s religion is made victorious over all religions.”

Apparently, when discussing the “alleged” links to such a program of conquest, the reporter didn’t want to “go there.” Congress doesn’t need to abridge freedom of speech or the press, not when most of the press abridges its own freedom in the name of political correctness [otherwise called self-censorship] and reports only the news that fits a multicultural mantra. To report the “alleged” facts might upset CAIR, MAS, Oldenburg and Omeish. Not to mention the Saudis, the Taliban, Ahmadinejad, and the Brotherhood itself. The reporting of the facts about the Brotherhood they would all characterize as “Islamophobia.”

The Washington Times of October 3 also carried a long commentary by Cal Thomas on Omeish’s resignation, “The Jihad Way.” While Thomas makes many of the same points that are made here, he errs when he employs the terms “extremist,” “radical” and “moderate” when describing Muslims who are in the public eye (and not the poor saps who run the local 7/11 or Citgo station). Apparently he doesn’t get it either, that Islam is neither “radical” nor “extremist,” that it is what it is, a political-theological ideology of conquest and reverse assimilation which the rank-and-file lack either the brains or spine to repudiate. His “heart” is in the right place – he sees the danger of taking creatures like Omeish for their word – but his mind is elsewhere.

“Former Pakistani President Benazir Bhutto, a moderate Muslim, was in Washington last week. I asked her how concerned the United States should be, especially when we see and hear radical talk from people such as Dr. Omeish.

“Speaking of the radicals, she told me ‘They are infiltrating [the United States and England]. What I am hearing is that they are now wanting to buy people off [and] plant people in intelligence and the military….’” After reminiscing about how “moderate” Islam was when she was a girl, she added that the “West is losing the war against radicals.”

Buying people off with Saudi and United Arab Emirates petrodollars, and planting people in the Pentagon? Unthinkable!

I have said it before many times: Excise the fundamentals from the fundamentalist nature of the creed, and there would be no Islam, radical, extremist, moderate, or otherwise.

In the meantime, Hirsi Ali, the Dutch member of parliament who repudiated Islam, fled the Netherlands for the U.S., and was hired by the American Enterprise Institute, has been forced to return to the land of Dutch dhimmis because while the U.S. issued her a green card for permanent residency, it shortly afterwards refused to offer her protection from Islamic assassins for “legal reasons.” Up to now, the Dutch government had paid for that protection, and now is withdrawing it. According to DutchNews.nl of October 3, she will continue her work with the AEI from a secret address. That is, from hiding.

Her implicit expulsion doubtless was a coordinated effort of the State Department and the Immigration and Naturalization Service, not a part of Bush’s “reach out” policy. After all, if she were allowed to stay, that might have offended “moderate” Muslims. One supposes that Emma Lazarus’s inscription at the base of the Statue of Liberty can’t apply to Hirsi Ali.

Yes, we will allow countless semi-literate, politically clueless, tribalist Mexicans into the country (and not utter a word to them about how and why the country was founded, that would be “racist” or “cultural imperialism”), but not welcome anyone with brains, principles, character and courage.

By the way, October 12 will be a red-letter day for the U.S. It marks two holidays, neither of them American: Eid al Fitr, the end of Ramadan, and Dia de la Raza, or the Mexican “Day of the Race.”

    Let the festivities begin.

Why I cannot yet be a republican ..and it's an EASY one

James Dobson decides to endorse Hillary Clinton? You bet.
Make no mistake about this one ...

    The Values Test

    Colorado Springs

REPORTS have surfaced in the press about a meeting that occurred last Saturday in Salt Lake City involving more than 50 pro-family leaders. The purpose of the gathering was to discuss our response if both the Democratic and Republican Parties nominate standard-bearers who are supportive of abortion. Although I was neither the convener nor the moderator of the meeting, I’d like to offer several brief clarifications about its outcome and implications.

After two hours of deliberation, we voted on a resolution that can be summarized as follows:

If neither of the two major political parties nominates an individual who pledges himself or herself to the sanctity of human life, we will join others in voting for a minor-party candidate. Those agreeing with the proposition were invited to stand. The result was almost unanimous.

This is the "christian right" laying it down. This is the Christian right attempting to make the Republican party their own (again?). This is the Christian right getting Hillary elected.

The Christian Right is DEATH for the republican party, and whoever the candidate is, and whatever happens, Dobson, like Robertson and Falwell before him, needs to be shown the door. LOUDLY and with great reasoning.

After that, maybe I'll take a look at things.

  • "I don't have any respect for the Religious Right."
  • "Every good Christian should line up and kick Jerry Falwell's ass."
  • "The religious factions will go on imposing their will on others"
  • "A woman has a right to an abortion."
  • "I am a conservative Republican

A convincing issue for the democrats to show they are serious people

Ayann Hirsi Ali is now living in hiding again, this time because America is failing

    Hat Tip Douglas Murray:

The Dutch Somali-born writer Ayaan Hirsi Ali is in a safe-house at an undisclosed location in Holland tonight after the Dutch government said that they would remove her security-detail from her from the 1st October unless she was in the Netherlands.

The former Dutch MP and colleague of the murdered Dutch film-maker Theo van Gogh, has been protected by the Dutch government during her time working at the American Enterprise Institute in Washington.

But they have apparently now decided that they owe the former MP nothing at all unless she stays in Holland.

Considering that Hirsi Ali was effectively forced to leave Holland after disgracefully having her citizenship withdrawn (and then reinstated), and that her neighbours sued to have her forced out of her house, the Dutch government's ignominious decision heaps insult onto injury.

Ayaan Hirsi Ali's new home, her work and her living are in America. Her life was made un-liveable in the Netherlands, but that country is now forcing her to stay there. The American government meanwhile seems to have decided that it is not its business that one of the most endangered and heroic people in its land is being grotesquely forced into a situation of such danger.

Hirsi Ali is being forced to choose between living unguarded where she wants to be or being guarded where she does not want to be: between being allowed her 'right to life' and her 'right to a life.' It is an intolerable situation, and shameful that both the Dutch and American governments have allowed this to happen.

The internal compass of the New York Times

Of course today it is imperative to look skeptically at anything the Times 'reports', but in an article which attempts to say the Bush WHite House DOES support real torture:

Associates at the Justice Department said Mr. Gonzales seldom resisted pressure from Vice President Dick Cheney and David S. Addington, Mr. Cheney’s counsel, to endorse policies that they saw as effective in safeguarding Americans, even though the practices brought the condemnation of other governments, human rights groups and Democrats in Congress. Critics say Mr. Gonzales turned his agency into an arm of the Bush White House, undermining the department’s independence.
    Let's pull this apart.

Associates (janitors ? newbie trainees? Assistant Attorneys General? Jason Blair?)
    pet dog.jpg
"Alberto, have you spoken with the head of the Foreign Actions Directorate at the CIA?" or "Alberto we have pictures of your daughter in flagrante with your Doberman"

to endorse policies that they saw as effective in safeguarding Americans - listening to phone calls from Quetta and/or Islamabad, or Swat to muslims brotherhood members's cell phones in Chicago? or kidnapping citizens off the streets of Chicago and sending them to a dungeon in southern Egypt to have their fingernails torn off?

even though the practices brought the condemnation of other governments, human rights groups and Democrats in Congress. When was it established that the good feeling towards us of Hu Jintao, or Jacques Chirac was an effective tool in safeguarding americans, or that the reccomendation of HRW (now a Soros minion) or Amnesty International had ANY BEARING AT ALL on the personal security of Americans, except as they see it, from the american govt?

Critics say Mr. Gonzales turned his agency into an arm of the Bush White House, undermining the department’s independence. It IS an arm of the Bush White House. The Constitution insists that the Justice Dept as part of the executive is subordinate to the white house, ANY white house. Any AG or employee can resign in protest anytime they please. Congress can investigate policies of the admin or in the justice dept if they see fit that this subordination has led to criminal activity. But "Critics say"? Harry Reid? John Conyers?

That paragraph at the top is a statement of fact? It is gobbeldygook hiding a clear political objective. Papers which have political and or social objectives as the purpose of their organization have a long history. There is nothing wrong with that as long as it is identified. Around the turn of the last century they acquired a name. YELLOW PRESS.

Storm Track Infiltration: Muslims to Non-Muslims – Just Visiting

Ever see that commercial with the huckster slaps their forehead and says, “Gee. I could have had a V-8!” after realizing that they made a stupid mistake? Will there be a “Gee. I could have had a V-8!” moment when the useful idiots on the Left and the dhimmis in the free world realize that fundamentalist Muslims pay no heed or loyalty to the nations they live in? That such beliefs were not slyly hidden from non-Muslims but openly displayed in thought, words and deeds long before it has to be finally confronted by the free world?

Dubai, "Logistics", Real Estate, And Hitler - WTF?

Remember some months back when that Dubai-based company tried to buy into the American port business, and our Congressman and media-overlords told we Americans who were disturbed by such a prospect that there was no need to worry?

    Remember that?

Well, I'm thinking there was need to worry. Call me crazy, but this disturbs me (from LGF):

A Dubai-based sister company of DP World, who tried to buy a controlling interest in America’s seaports, has now purchased 1,300 acres of land in South Carolina, to be developed into a logistics center and business park.

ORANGEBURG, SC (AP) - A Dubai-based company looking to build a logistics
center and business park in Orangeburg County has purchased about 1,300 acres of
    land near Santee.

Jafza International managing director Chuck Heath says the company
thinks Orangeburg has the potential to become a major logistical hub in the
    United States.

Jafza officials will begin negotiating the details of its investment
with state and local officials in the next few weeks. The company says it plans
to invest about $600 million and ultimately hire about 8,000 workers.

Jafza International is a sister company of DP World, which initially
won federal approval last year to run six major US ports before congressional
objections caused the deal to fall through.

By the way, what is a "logistics center"? Is there a formal definition of that term? Because, if there isn't then, I must admit. the term creeps me out.

Dubai is a major city in the United Arab Emirates. What else goes on in Dubai, UAE? Well, real estate companies use images of Adolf Hitler to sell homes.

See, there's nothing to worry about. A country where it is considered normal to adulate Adolf Hitler isn't dangerous, right?

The Meaning Of The Word "Jihad"

There are multiple meanings to the word Jihad. Truth is, it can mean a moral struggle to become a better person. But, it can also mean, your ass is dead, infidel.

How do we tell the difference? Punditarian has a great article up over at Astute Bloggers. Here is an excerpt.

Years before the September Eleventh Atrocities, in 1997, Douglas Streusand published an article discussing the meaning of the word "jihad." It is well worth reading in its entirety. He concludes:

Muslims today can mean many things by jihad-the jurists' warfare bounded by
specific conditions, Ibn Taymiya's revolt against an impious ruler, the Sufi's
moral self-improvement, or the modernist's notion of political and social
reform. The disagreement among Muslims over the interpretation of jihad is
genuine and deeply rooted in the diversity of Islamic thought.

The unmistakable predominance of jihad as warfare in Shari'a writing does
not mean that Muslims today must view jihad as the jurists did a millenium ago.
Classical texts speak only to, not for, contemporary Muslims. A non-Muslim
cannot assert that jihad always means violence or that all Muslims believe in
    jihad as warfare.

Conversely, the discord over the meaning of jihad permits deliberate
deception, such as the CAIR statement cited above. A Muslim can honestly dismiss
jihad as warfare, but he cannot deny the existence of this concept. As the
editor of the "Diary of a Mujahid" writes, "some deny it, while others explain
it away, yet others frown on it to hide their own weakness."

The term jihad should cause little confusion, for context almost always
indicates what a speaker intends. The variant interpretations are so deeply
embedded in Islamic intellectual traditions that the usage of jihad is unlikely
to be ambiguous. An advocate of jihad as warfare indicates so through his goals.
A Sufi uses the term mujahada or specifies the greater jihad. Bourguiba clearly
did not advocate violence to improve education and development in Tunisia.

When ambiguity does exist, it may well be deliberate. In the case of
Arafat's statement about a "jihad for Jerusalem," he intended his Muslim
audience to hear a call to arms while falling back on the peaceful definition to
allay concerns in Israel and the West. Only his later actions reveal whether he
was co-opting Islamists by adopting their rhetoric or duping Israelis by hiding
    his violent intentions.

    Go read the whole thing.

    When Islamofascists Get Caught

What happens when Islamofascists get caught? There are a couple of stories up at LGF that would, if we were paying attention, tell us all we need to know about exactly who our enemies are.

Here's in first one, we find that, when we quote their exact words, we are accused of Islamophobia:

The Esam Omeish affair is the latest example of a “moderate,” “peaceful” American Muslim leader done in by his own words, caught on tape.

Omeish, the president of the Muslim American Society (MAS), was forced to resign last week from his recently-appointed position on Virginia Governor Tim Kaine’s immigration commission when videos featuring Omeish posted by Little Green Footballs and the Investigative Project on Terrorism (IPT) were brought to the governor’s attention.

Kaine asked for Omeish’s resignation after observing one video featuring Omeish at a December 2000 rally praising Palestinians for “...you have learned the way, that you have known that the jihad way is the way to liberate your land.”

Instead of owning up to his words, Omeish told reporters at a press conference Friday that he was taken out of context as part of a “smear campaign” based on“Islamophobia.”

When speaking of jihad, he said he did not mean violence. He only meant “exerting full effort.” He, like the Muslim American Society, is completely peaceful, espousing only a “path of moderation, engagement and outreach.”

Omeish is a surgeon, and before that, an honor student – a pillar of the community, and nothing more. The re-production of his own words is an “Islamophobic” “smear.”

MAS Freedom Foundation Executive Director, Mahdi Bray, went one step further, portraying Omeish as the victim of a not-so-vast right wing conspiracy by those who “send people into our mosques and send people into our conventions dressed as Muslim women with hidden cameras.”

Bray, too, has been “caught on tape” by the IPT, raising his arms and cheering loudly in October 2000 as his former colleague, Abdurrahman Alamoudi, announced his support for two notoriously deadly terrorist groups:

Alamoudi: I have been labeled by the media in New York to be a supporter of Hamas, anybody supports Hamas here?

    [Crowd cheers, “Yes!”].

Anybody is a supporter of Hamas here?

[Crowd cheers, “Yes!” Mahdi Bray on stage nods and raises his arms in approval].

Anybody is a supporter of Hamas here?

    [Crowd cheers, “Yes!”].

Hear that, Bill Clinton; we are all supporters of Hamas, Allahu Akbar. [Crowd responds].
I wish they added that I am also a supporter of Hizballah. Anybody supports Hizballah here?

    [Crowd cheers, “Yes!”]

Now, is it “Islamophobia” to show a tape of Bray gleefully cheering on Hamas and Hizballah? Somehow asking Omeish to be accountable for his endorsement of “the jihad way” is over the line?

And, in the second story, we find that a man, caught in possession of pipe bombs near an American military facility is having his defense paid for by the country of Egypt:

TAMPA, Fla. - Egypt’s government is paying for the legal representation of a college student who authorities say was found with pipe bombs near a Navy base, an attorney said Wednesday.

Attorney John Fitzgibbons told a judge he was in talks with the Egyptian embassy in Washington and likely will be hired to represent suspended University of South Florida student Ahmed Abdellatif Sherif Mohamed.

Ahmed el-Qawassni, an official in Egypt’s foreign ministry, said the government is closely monitoring the case and confirmed that an attorney is being hired for Mohamed, who was born in Kuwait to Egyptian parents.

“We are responsible for the sons of Egypt abroad with no exception,” el-Qawassni said.
Mohamed, 24, and another USF student, Youssef Samir Megahed, 21, are charged with carrying explosive materials across state lines.

Mohamed also is charged with distributing information relating to explosives, destructive devices and weapons of mass destruction. Authorities allege he made an Internet video showing how to use remote-controlled toys to detonate terrorist bombs.

Now, how many stories like this do we need to read before we figure out that neither the Muslim American Society, nor the state of Egypt are our friends?

Did Ahmadinejad Predict Armageddon In His Speech At The U.N.?

    From the American Thinker:

    By James Lewis

This will sound alarming. A literal reading of Ahmadi-Nejad's UN address suggests that he is predicting a total war coming soon.

The key is in his invocation and his conclusion. Normal official communications by Muslims start with, "In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful." A'jad followed that formula immediately with:

"Oh God, hasten the arrival of Imam Al-Mahdi and grant him good health and victory and make us his followers and those who attend to his rightfulness." [italics in the official Iranian version]
Sounds like a pretty standard invocation, but it's not. It is a specific call for the Shiite Messiah, who will bring a final holy war, the final jihad, which in the Khomeini cult implies all-out war with the infidels to bring about the Millenarian Age of Paradise on Earth. (For Khomeini, the term "infidels" includes Sunni Muslims, who do not recognize the Mahdi). That is why Khomeini started the nuclear program twenty years ago, and why it has been pushed consistently by all the major cult leaders.

A'jad put the message explicitly in his peroration, i.e., his summary and conclusion.

"I officially declare that the age of relations arising from the Second World War as well as materialistic thought based on arrogance and domination is now over." (italics added)
Translation: The West, and particularly the United States, emerged dominant after World War Two. Israel declared independence in 1948. The dominance of the West is now over.

use of the phrase "I officially declare" indicates how he views himself as Allah's representative on earth; a very common paranoid fantasy, but one that is taught by the Khomeini cult as part of its explicit doctrine. Cult members who are otherwise quite sane can believe such things (as in the Rev. Jim Jones' suicide cult following.)
This declaration is followed by A'jad's messianic

"Humanity has passed a perilous precipice and the age of monotheism (i.e., Khomeini Shiism), purity, affinity, respecting others, justice and peace-loving has now commenced." (I.e., the End of Times is at hand; italics added). "It is the divine promise that the truth will be victorious and the earth will be inherited by the righteous." Translation: We will win the coming war. "The era of darkness will end, prisoners will return home, the occupied lands will be freed, Palestine and Iraq will be liberated from the domination of the occupiers, and the people of America and Europe will be free from the pressures exerted by the Zionists." (That's clear enough.) "Without any doubt, the Promised One who is the ultimate Savior will come. ... This is the promise of God, and therefore it will be fulfilled." The "Promised One" refers to the messiah, the "occluded Mahdi," who disappeared in the 9th century as a five year old child, and whose return Khomeinists are imminently expecting. This passage is notably blasphemous to the Sunni wing of radical Islam, which admits of no equals to Allah and his Prophet Mohammed. A'jad is saying that the Mahdi will indeed transcend Mohammed, who did not bring about Paradise on Earth.
But the Mahdi will not come without actions of the believers.

"Let's play a part in the fulfillment of all this glory and beauty.""I wish for a bright future for all human beings and the dawn of liberation and freedom for all humans ... A wish which I expect will be fulfilled in the near future." (Italics added)

Don't forget that A'jad already fulfilled his Islamic obligation to send an ultimatum to the leaders of the infidel nations to convert to Islam or die. He sent personal letters to President Bush and German Chancellor Merkel saying exactly that. In his version of Islamic law, he has fulfilled the requirements for starting his holy war against the West.

Or, to put it in his typical threat language, he has said,

"If you would like to have good relations with the Iranian nation in the future... bow down before the greatness of the Iranian nation and surrender. If you don't accept [to do this], the Iranian nation will... force you to surrender and bow down."

The Columbia University talk now also falls into place. In A'jad's deeply indoctrinated mind, the students laughing at his absurd claim that there are no homosexuals in Iran simply confirmed how steeped they are in sexual sin. Columbia was Soddom and Gomorrah in this world view, and God destroyed those cities after their inhabitants refused to repent from homosexual activities. In his eyes he gave them their last chance.

The fact that many Jews demonstrated against him in the streets of Manhattan, and that President Bollinger asked some sharp questions, will also confirm his existing beliefs.
The UN talk therefore becomes a final notice to the nations of the world.
Khomeini himself set the conditions for total war:

"I say let this land (Iran) burn. I say let this land go up in smoke, provided Islam emerges triumphant in the rest of the world."

That is the description of an all-out nuclear war.

How would that war start? Michael Medved claimed on the radio that Israeli intelligence expects an Iranian nuclear device within the next 18 months. The CIA supposedly claims about five years. The IAF air attack on a putative Syrian "agricultural research station" on the Euphrates River may have hit nuclear materials or missiles. It also demonstrated that the vaunted Russian air defense system just purchased by Iran and Syria does not work. A follow-up attack into Iranian airspace may therefore occur soon, before the Iranians change their codes and defense configuration.

In A'jad's world, it is desirable to be attacked first, so he can point the finger of guilt at the attackers. His is a martyrdom tradition, and it is essential for there to be plenty of martyrs on his side. It motivates the cult followers to greater sacrifice -- see the Iran-Iraq War, and repeated statements by A'jad that "martyrdom is powerful." By openly claiming to have 3,000 working centrifuges in Natanz, he is in effect inviting an attack on that facility, putting the US and Israel in a cleft stick. At some point they cannot fail to attack and try to destroy the centrifuges.

Dr. Jack Wheeler of "To the point news" reported that,

"One of India's top generals assigned to liaise with the Iranian military recently returned to New Delhi from several days in Tehran -- in a state of complete amazement." [....]"Everyone in the government and military can only talk of one thing," he reports. "No matter who I talked to, all they could do was ask me, over and over again, ‘Do you think the Americans will attack us?' ‘When will the Americans attack us?' ‘Will the Americans attack us in a joint operation with the Israelis?' How massive will the attack be?' on and on, endlessly. The Iranians are in a state of total panic."

This is important, because in its public propaganda, the Tehran regime has been telling its people that they are just seeing "psychological warfare" from American and Israel. But internally, the military and government in Iran seem to have a different and more serious interpretation. Wheeler argues that after the IAF attack of September 6, both Syria and Iran were shown to be defenseless against air attack, even with their brand-new Russian Pantsyr anti-air system.

The implication is for a quick attack on Iran. But it is vital to keep in mind the classic joke about the sadist and the masochist, where the masochist yells out, "whip me! whip me!" and the sadist answers, sadistically, "no!" So there is a case for taking the sadist's point of view, and continuing to threaten the Tehran regime without actually striking it. That would upset their expectations, and indeed their psychological need to be provoked into justified rage. For that reason, rather than overt air attacks, under-the-public-radar sabotage operations are always preferable.

It must be said that there is a real possibility that the martyrdom regime has planted retaliatory dirty bombs in various places around the world, to go off if Iranian targets are hit. A'jad has said that

"The anger of Muslims may reach an explosion point soon. If such a day comes [America and the West] should know that the waves of the blast will not remain within the boundaries of our region."

That warning could not be clearer. Retaliatory bombs could exist in small coastal freighters or other delivery vehicles in the Mediterranean and Persian Gulf, and in or near the US. The regime has been signing up hundreds of Basiji for martyrdom operations. Those are cheap cannon fodder for them, like the teenagers who were trained to move right into minefields in the Iran-Iraq war, wearing green plastic "keys to paradise" around their necks, to clear the way for assault troops. That is the environment in which A'jad developed his understanding of war.

Sending hundreds of kids to martyrdom on the orders of Ayatollah Khomeini must play havoc with anyone's mind. Ahmadi-Nejad may not have been directly involved in doing that, but he must certainly have known about it during the Iran-Iraq War and approved of it, else he would not be trusted by the Khomeinists who run Iran to become president.

Psychologically, that life experience implies immense personal survival guilt, along with a readiness to commit suicide oneself to bring about the messianic age of the Mahdi. That is an almost inconceivable state of mind for Westerners who have grown up in a generally peaceful world.

What are the implications for the West? First of all, any action against the cult regime should come at a time and place of our choosing, if possible different from the cult predictions. But our hand is being forced by unverified claims by A'jad to possess 3,000 centrifuges. Israel, Saudi Arabia, and other countries may have good intelligence sources in Iran, which are needed to check this astonishingly bizarre, dangerous and secretive regime.

Second, it is critical to neutralize the fanatical leadership which sustains their delusional system in any major attack. That in itself is very difficult, since humans are easier to hide than industrial facilities. But special ops teams must silence the command, communication and control capacity of the regime instantly.

During the Syrian bombing operation, reports suggested that the entire Syrian communications grid was knocked out. Even cell phones connections in neighboring Lebanon were disrupted. Special Forces were believed to be on the ground, laser-designating the target, and supposedly smuggling out samples. They may also have sabotaged the communications grid, including hardened communications between Pantsyr anti-air defenses. It was a successful dress rehearsal.

Thirdly, unlike the one-shot Israeli attack in 1981 on Saddam's Osirak nuclear reactor, any attack on Iran today may trigger extended hostilities, including assaults on civilians far away from the theater of war. Previously the Iranian Guard (including Ahmadi-Nejad) committed attacks on Jewish synagogues in Buenos Aires. The people who did that are in charge today in Tehran. So this time there will surely be a barrage of Hezb'allah missiles directed at civilians in Israel, like last summer, but possibly much more accurate.

As soon as military action starts, pressure will be brought to bear to shut it down prematurely. For once that pressure must be resisted. This gang is too dangerous to leave them with any of their total war capacities intact. A'jad just flew to Venezuela to arrange for added supplies of refined oil products which Iran cannot make at home. He is planning for a long war. He may increase Iranian meddling in Iraq, but a conventional Iranian invasion of Iraq is unlikely, since conventional forces are highly vulnerable from the air, and the US controls the air.

It seems vital for the West not to take military action until the Iranian nuclear plan has become quite clear. As suggested previously, one possibility is for the IAF to attack several established nuclear targets in Iran, with the United States allowing Israeli overflights of the Gulf. If and when Iran attempts to retaliate against Israel, or even Saudi Arabia, using missiles and aircraft, USN Gulf defenses would be automatically triggered, bringing US forces into the fight. The Saudis would not be happy with Iranian military overflights, since Khomeini fanatics believe they must eventually rule the holy cities of Mecca and Medina. Iran may try to blockade the Straits of Hormuz, leading to US actions to open the Straits as the guarantor of free shipping through international waterways.

Contrary to the Saddam war, today we have France and Germany in support. Whether that actually means anything, or whether they will bend to domestic opposition, is anybody's guess. They could turn out to be weak sisters. But at least they are not actively sabotaging us, as they did with the overthrow of Saddam.

A very dangerous time is coming up. If we are very lucky, the world will be saved by some brilliant secret raids and naval actions along the lines of the Tanker War of the 1990s. With even greater luck there will be a military coup d'etat, throwing the Khomeinist fanatics out of power. But these are extremely ruthless people. Right now it seems more likely there will be an extended conflict, along the lines that the West and Israel will find most difficult to deal with.

If a major Israeli city is severely hit, Israel may respond with massive retaliation. In the Osirak reactor strike of 1981, Israel managed to kill only one person. The coming battle with Iran may make that impossible.

If this interpretation is correct, we have some very difficult times coming up. Our domestic political dialogue has been utterly immature since 9/11. But the prospect of hanging in a fortnight concentrates the mind wonderfully, and it is possible that some on the Left will wake up. The Iranians are quite capable of stirring up terrorist retaliation in their war of Armageddon. They are suiciders, like the kamikaze cult of WW Two: Very difficult to deal with indeed. Making adequate civil defense preparations may become a crucial part of everyday life, even in the United States. Our feeling of immunity to direct attack is simply out of date. I wonder whether Democrats will allow us to improve protection against domestic attacks?
In making rational predictions of danger we always hope to be wrong. But we cannot plan based on hope alone.
