There's No Such Thing As Moderate Islam?

There is not a single moderate Muslim political oragnization, media outlet, acacedmic institution, or government, of any appreciable size, anywhere in the world.

Please, prove me wrong. I would feel better about the world, if you could.
If you agree with my statement, please you pass it around the blogosphere? Maybe we'll get to the bottom of this.
If not, well then, the sooner the real war comes, the better it will be for all of us, because fewer people will die.

"The Attacks Would Result in the Destruction of the Whole of JFK and Destroy Whole Parts of Queens"

I hope the left is sleeping soundly, because, you know, Bush made up the whole war in his warped mind. From Jihad Watch:

NEW YORK -- As first reported by NewsChannel4's Jonathan Dienst, three
people were arrested and one other was being sought Saturday in connection to a
plot to blow up jet-fuel lines at John F. Kennedy International Airport,
officials said.

Four people have been charged. Three suspects are in custody:
Russell Defreitas, Kareem Ibrihim and Abdul Kadir. Another suspect, Abdul Nur is
still at large.

Defreitas is to be arrainged Saturday in Brooklyn on terror
conspiracy charges.

Sources said Defreitas, a former cargo worker at JFK allegedly
began to plot attacking the US last July or August. Defeitas sought help in
carrying out a plan and went to an FBI informant, who gathered information about
the plot.

U.S. Attorney Roslynn R. Mauskopf called it "one of the most
chilling plots imaginable."

"The devastation that would be caused had this plot succeeded is
just unthinkable," she said at a news conference.

Defreitas is a U.S. citizen with roots in Guyana.

Kadir, a former member of Parliament in Guyana, was arrested in
Trinidad for attempting to secure money for "terrorist operations," according to
a Guyanese police commander who spoke on condition of anonymity.

Kadir, a Muslim, left his position in Parliament last year. Muslims
make up about 9 percent of the former Dutch and British colony's 770,000
population, mostly from the Sunni sect.

Sources said counter-terrorism officials have been following the
plot for a little less than one year.

Sources said the plot involved a plan to blow up a BuckEye jet-fuel
pipeline at JFK setting off a potential massive explosion. BuckEye provides fuel
to all three NYC-area airports.

Sources said the plot involved putting explosives inside the fuel
pipeline but realized that "it was not technically feasible."

Officials said the plot may also have included plans to hit the JFK
terminal buildings and aircraft, in addition to the fuel lines.

Actually, it would have been much worse than that.

Pamela at Atlas Shrugs has the best coverage of this atrocity in the making, including these words:

"The devastation that this would have caused is just

"Huge concern about the fuel line. The feeding tube that feeds
international commerce, airport, residences." "The Buckeye Pipeline (orginates
from Allentown Pa.), a 40 million fuel line, runs from New Jersey to Nassau
(JFK) ......" It is the central fuel line.

"New York has become complacent.""We urge NY , if you see
something, say something!"[what would CAIR say about that? LAWSUIT! -

Look at the world through the eyes, through the prism of September

One of the suspects (Defreitas - sp?) was quoted as saying: "the attacks would result in the destruction of the whole of JFK and
destroy whole parts of Queens. Few people would survive."

"Even the twin towers can't touch it. This would destroy the
whole US economy"

Regime Change Iran--The People vs. A Dictatorship

Iran's Islamic dictatorship is facing rapidly mounting problems that threaten its existence.
The Iranian clerics have much to fear, and not just from foreign threats. Their incompetence and corruption has ruined the economy. Unemployment among young Iranians is about 50 percent. Some 40 percent of the population is on the government payroll, and there is not enough oil money to pay off all the people who do support the government (about a third of the population). Thus the government keeps printing more money, and the result in an inflation rate of over 20 percent. The Iranian people are getting increasingly restless, and, more ominously, surly. The government has relied on street level gangs of young Islamic conservatives to discourage such behavior. But it isn't working, and there have been more and more street battles. The government can more readily call in reinforcements, and has won all these brawls so far. But if the government starts losing them, it's the beginning of the end. Some of the kids have cell phones, a technology the government tried to keep out.

...The clerics fear an event similar to the one that suddenly destroyed communist rule in Russia and Eastern Europe 18 years ago. For that reason, much attention and cash is spent on the street level muscle (the Basij militia), and a constant willingness to use physical violence against any protests or "un-Islamic" behavior. The universities are being purged of any staff suspected of being disloyal to the clergy. Any contacts with foreigners are being discouraged, as the Iranians fear U.S. groups that go around giving workshops on how to overthrow a dictatorship using non-violent means. Such workshops are held for Iranians across the Gulf, and many Iranians sneak over to participate.

Iran is a hellish bastion of religious barbarism. How curious then, that so many leftist academics, journalists, and bloggers flock to the banner of Iran's theocratic tyranny.

Moderate Muslim Nation?

Some time back, I heard Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice cite Malaysia as moderate. If she still believes her own statement, then Ms. Rice needs to study up on the situation with Lina Joy, who converted to Christianity 17 years ago and whose plight hasn't received nearly the same amount of media attention as that of Abdul Rahman.

Article from the May 31, 2007 edition of the Middle East Times, emphases mine:
The woman at the center of a religious controversy in Malaysia has accused the country's highest court of denying her fundamental rights in rejecting her bid to be legally recognized as Christian, her lawyer confirmed Thursday.

Lina Joy's comments came a day after Malaysia's Federal Court rejected her attempt to win recognition of her conversion from Islam.

Joy, 43, had sought the removal of the word "Islam" from her national identity card.

But the Federal Court, the highest secular legal body, threw out her case and said that only an Islamic Sharia tribunal could legally certify her conversion.

There is no mystery about Iran, only about why the ostriches of 1935 have been leading

Iran leveraging its missile arsenal to intimidate U.S. allies in Gulf region

GERTZ:WASHINGTON — Iran is threatening to use its huge missile arsenal in any attack on American allies in the Gulf, the U.S. intelligence community has determined. Officials said the mullah regime seeks to intimidate Gulf Cooperation Council states with Teheran's ballistic missile arsenal.
They said Iran views its missiles as the primary element in power projection. "Iran is enhancing its ability to project its military power — primarily with ballistic missiles and naval power — with the goal of dominating the Gulf region and deterring potential adversaries," National Intelligence Director John McConnell told the Senate Armed Services Committee on Feb. 27.
The intelligence community said Iran has the largest missile inventory in the Middle East. Iran's Shihab-2 medium-range and Shihab-3 intermediate-range missiles could strike virtually any strategic site in the Gulf. "Teheran views its growing inventory of ballistic missiles as an integral part of its strategy to deter — and if necessary retaliate against-forces in the region, including U.S. forces," McConnell said.

Since we are leaving the region by 2009, why on earth would anyone aid our cause at their own peril from the obvious winners?

They are embarked on a generational national project to acquire nukes. They have proven to the region they will be AMORAL and untrammeled by the slightest 'human' consideration in application of of force, and terror is considered by them to be a legitimate means of application. They have spoken with great consonance over that time about their intentions. Their weapons are mostly modern. They can freeze europe's aid to america with their real threats. They have the cooperation of the Russians and the Chinese. They have PROVEN the UN is a chimera, a charade, a kabuki dance. Their co-religionists form a (religiously repressed) MAJORITY in the Eastern Province of KSA (where the oil is).

They have NEVER lost against the americans.

Any questions?

Hassan Nasrallah is proved right - what will be the consequences?

U.S. signaling Gulf states it will withdraw from region by 2009

ABU DHABI — The Bush administration has hinted through diplomatic channels that the United States will leave Iraq and most of the Gulf region by 2009. Middle East diplomatic sources said U.S. envoys have repeatedly signaled that Washington plans to withdraw from Iraq and most of the Gulf region.
Several U.S. envoys advised Gulf Cooperation Council and other states to prepare for this eventuality, they said. "No such words were spoken, but Arab and Israeli leaders have understood that within two years, the United States will no longer be in Iraq or in the Middle East," one diplomatic source said.
The administration's strongest message of a U.S. military withdrawal took place during the Middle East tour by Defense Secretary Robert Gates in April. Gates visited Egypt, Israel and Saudi Arabia and discussed arms sales with all three countries.

I know I am an unsophisticated guy in one of those red and black checked earflap hats but ..

maybe someone can explain how this helps our negotiating position

Rice: No War Plans
Against Iran

MADRID, Spain (AP) - The U.S. is not preparing for war against Iran and Vice President Dick Cheney supports that policy, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice says, taking a swipe at a U.N. official who says he's worried about "crazies" who want to start bombing.

"The president of the United States has made very clear what our policy is. That policy is supported by all the members of his Cabinet and by the vice president of the United States," Rice said Friday.

Now that means either the whole government is a bunch of liars or a bunch of fools. Neither of which I care for in this instance.

I have already voted in one fool (Jimmah), and worked against a considerable liar (Nixon)

Who are these people and what have they done with the guys who said 'pretty soon the whole world will hear you'?

The Bush Admin has lost me on the border

The Bush Admin has lost me on the immigration reform as they want it

The Bush Admin has lost me on backing off on supporting democracies

The Bush Admin has lost me on the Iraq as they have done it

The Bush Admin is now losing me on Iran.

If they have lost me (and folsk like me) on these foreign and security issues, who will they have left?

Fools and liars?

Iran can be handled with forthright honest statements of intention which are BACKED UP. What's going on now is ....

"Open Tent" In Amherst, New Hampshire

The picture's caption reads as follows:

Second-grader Lucas Bellipanni tries on the traditional thobe, gutra and igal during the ‘Open Tent’ night at the Amherst Middle School.
The following is the full May 31, 2007 article:

‘Open tent’ at Amherst Middle School

AMHERST— For one night, on May 9, the quaint colonial town of Amherst, New Hampshire, was transformed into a Saudi Arabian Bedouin tent community, with the help of 80 seventh-graders at the Amherst Middle School. The weather cooperated, providing 85 degree temperatures to give an authentic Saudi feel to the evening.

More than 250 guests arrived at the open tent and were welcomed with an Arabic greeting of “Marhaba” by students at a Saudi customs desk.

During the check-in, guests selected a traditional Arabic name for their name badge and completed an actual Saudi customs form, which warned in bold letters “Death for Drug Trafficking ” at the top.

Once inside, guests were encouraged to circulate among 14 different stations created by the students.

The Arabic food-tasting station offered four entrées, curried chicken, lamb, tomato chicken with cardomom, and Moroccan chicken, served with pita breads, hummus, and couscous. Fresh fruits, cardomom coffees, and spice teas were also served.

Flowing fabrics hung from the ceiling separated the family and men-only dining sections. The tables were set on large rugs and lowered so that the diners sat on the floor.

Only the seventh-grade boys were allowed to host the food stations and the Arabic dancing, as the traditions of Saudi Arabia at this time prevent women from participating in these public roles.

Dressed in traditional Arabic wear—long plaid kilts, white shirts and turbans—the boys offered food and entertained guests. The Arabic dancers enthusiastically performed to music and encouraged male visitors to join their dance.

Seventh-grade girls hosted the hijab and veil stations, where other female guests learned how to wear the required head covering and veils. An antique trunk full of black abayas worn by women, and white thobes worn by the men, were available for guests to try on.

Cultural items displayed throughout the room included Arabic books, games, food, and newspapers and magazines.

An Islamic religion station included a Muslim prayer rug with a compass imbedded in it to locate Mecca, readings on the Islamic faith, call to prayer items and prayer beads.

Younger visitors gravitated to the Arabic listening station, the Arabic coloring book stations and the mural, while visitors of all ages found the slide shows of Saudi Arabia to be captivating.

The “open tent” was created to encourage participants to reach out and learn from people around the world, and to promote curiosity and cultural understanding.

Are any such events, complete with prayer stations, being held for other cultures in public schools throughout America?

Well, at least the event didn't include dressing up as suicide bombers in order to promote a sympathetic understanding of jihad. Maybe the textbooks already take care of that.

'Neoconservative' foreign policy and Sept 17th 1862

American casualties in Iraq over 4 years are identical to those on Sept 17th 1862, on THAT ONE DAY, and yet we cannot sustain them.

On Sept 17th 1862, after repeated numerous significant lost battles, destroyed campaigns, and inept planning, execution, and abysmal failure, George McClellan, having been gifted with Robt E Lee's exact plans wrapped around some lost cigars, went out and actually attacked him on Northern soil, near Antietam Creek at Sharpsburg, MD.

By day's end, there were 3650 dead, and 22,750 casualties. That represent 25% of all men engaged that day.

Since we conquered Iraq we have, according to CNN, 3,749 american dead, and 25,549 wounded. In 1500 more days, we have sustained as many casualties, yet a large majority of americans wants out of Iraq.

By the time Abe Lincoln wrote himself a letter (August 1864) predicting his own defeat in November because americans, he believed would not support a war to free slaves, there were ~850,000 casualties. HE thought that since the war had morphed from a war to preserve the Union to one of freeing the slaves (at his urging) he would lose

But it's not the Civil War, you say.

Well, THAT wasn't viewed in the way it is now, then either. No less than Horace Greeley said, let the "wayward sisters depart in peace". We see how consequential it all was today. Well many today, who view Iraq as part of the World War feel that way now. Most however do not.

But as (arch Reaganite) Peggy Noonan expressed today her separation from the admin:

The beginning of my own sense of separation from the Bush administration came in January 2005, when the president declared that it is now the policy of the United States to eradicate tyranny in the world, and that the survival of American liberty is dependent on the liberty of every other nation. This was at once so utopian and so aggressive that it shocked me.

That mission's theory in which our security is guaranteed by democracy's spread is exactly the issue of what others see as the neoconservative ideal, as Ms. Noonan does.

Has this failed because it must, because it is wrong or cannot be?

Or has it failed because THIS TIME americans have lost faith with the underlying idea (as apparently we would have had Sherman not taken Atlanta, and then gutted Georgia).

Perhaps then, we should remind them of 1989, in EVERY WAY

Putin issues sharp warning to US, vows to counter 'imperialism'

MOSCOW (AFP) - President Putin issued an acerbic warning Thursday to the United States, saying the recent test of a new Russian missile was a direct response to US actions and condemning "imperialism" in world affairs.

"Our American partners have quit the ABM Treaty," Putin told reporters after meeting his Greek counterpart, referring to the landmark 1972 US-Soviet treaty limiting the missile defenses of the Cold War superpower foes.

"We warned them then that we would come out with a response to maintain the strategic balance in the world. Yesterday we conducted a test of a new strategic ballistic missile with multiple warheads, and of a new cruise missile, and will continue to improve our resources."

The United States informed Russia in 2001 that it was exercising its option to withdraw unilaterally from the Anti-Ballistic Missile (ABM) pact. It has since stepped up controversial plans, fiercely opposed by Russia, to deploy a missile defence shield in eastern Europe.

Translation - If you prevent us, via defensive weapons, from the ability to threaten weaker non nuclear states with annihilation, then you imperil our world position enough to cause us to threaten to restart the enter cold war.

The USA has not developed a new ICBM since the early 80's, which we scrapped. Don't even answer Putin. Just put a new one on the drawing boards, and go on to help the states of eastern Europe wordlessy. Announce we are going to build 500 more B-2's.

Is Islam a Cult?

Courtesy of frequent Malaysia Today commenter "FFT", I found this interesting piece on the characteristics of cults. Cults can and do share a number of unique characteristics, and below is a comprehensive list of them. I invite you to read this list and to determine how many of these apply to the 'Religion of Peace.'

What Part Of "We Want A Fence" Does This Guy Not Get

Bush Says
Amnesty Bill
Will Reduce
The Need
For A Fence

“When you grow up in Texas like I did, you recognize the decency and
humanity of Hispanics. And the truth of the matter is, a lot of this immigration
debate is driven as a result of Latinos being in our country,” he said. “I have
seen firsthand the beautiful stories of people being able to take advantage of
opportunity and make solid contributions to our society.”

He said Americans had nothing to fear from large-scale immigration
from Latin America.

“There is an element of our society that is worried about
two Americas,” he said.
“Our ability to welcome newcomers and the
system’s capacity to assimilate them has been one of the great powerful
traditions of America. It works, and it will work this time. People shouldn’t
fear our capacity to uphold our motto: E Pluribus Unum.”…

Addressing one of the most sensitive issues in the measure, Bush expressed hope that the changes would reduce the need for a fence
along the border with Mexico…

The proposed fence has drawn protests
in Texas, where officials fear it will hinder commerce and cause environmental

“The fence sends a clear signal that we’re serious about enforcing
the border,” Bush said. “A lot of these ranchers down there are saying,
`Wait a minute. Bad idea.’ I presume we’re not going to build a fence on places
where people don’t want it.”

Ok, so the overwhelming number of Americans want a fence built, and we're going to let the objections of a few ranchers deny the will of the American people?

What the fuck kind of sense does that make?

And, I would swear that just a couple days ago we were being told that this new amnesty bill provides for the fence to be built. Now, Bush is saying he hopes it will reduce the need for a fence?

We the people of the United States of America have the right to a government which enforces our laws. The government that ignores the will of its people puts itself in a precarious position.

The Infidel Bloggers Alliance Radio Show Declares War On Mexico!

Our latest show was a non-stop spectacle of shock and awe directed at the southern regions.

Highlights include:

  • We declare war on Mexico.

  • Hugo Chavez took over our network at gunpoint.

  • And then, we interviewed Erik Rush, author of the book Annexing Mexico about his ten year plan for how to destroy Mexico as we know it (well, actually the idea is much more positive than that.).

  • Amazing scientific research has proved that SEMEN has MAGICAL PROPERTIES WHICH INDUCE EUPHORIA IN WOMEN. We discuss what this means for our sex lives, and announce the further scientific research the IBA Radio Show intends to do on this important subject.

Brought To Their Knees By Tits And Ass

M. Simon has a thoughtful post up about how he believes we can and will defeat Islamofascism with pornography:

I have been hinting around about what our Grand Strategy should be in the War On Islamic Fascism. Some of the hints can be found at: Islam vs American Morality and In The Long Run Their Struggle Will Be Hopeless and The New Middle East. So what should our strategy be in plainer terms? We should be undermining Islamic fascist culture. How? There in lies a tail.Let us start with the BBC.

Up to 70% of files exchanged between Saudi teenagers' mobile phones contain
pornography, according to a study in the ultra-conservative Muslim kingdom. The
study quoted in Arab News focussed on the phones of teenagers detained by
religious police for harassing girls. So who is winning the battle of mobiles?

"The flash memory of mobile phones taken from teenagers showed 69.7% of 1,470 files saved in them were pornographic and 8.6% were related to violence," said report author Professor Abdullah al-Rasheed.So sex is more popular than violence by a factor of better than 8 to 1. Excellent. The Opinion Journal has some early news from the battle for Iraq.

In the giddy spirit of the day, nothing could quite top the wish list bellowed
out by one man in the throng of people greeting American troops from the 101st
Airborne Division who marched into town today. What, the man was asked, did he
hope to see now that the Baath Party had been driven from power in his town?
What would the Americans bring?"Democracy," the man said, his voice rising to
lift each word to greater prominence. "Whiskey. And sexy!"Around him, the crowd roared its approval.

...with the advent of computers and mobile phones we do not have to print anything. Nor does our government have to have its fingerprints on the job. There is more than enough free porno on line to satisfy the immediate demand. In other words Open Source Pornography to the rescue.

Secular and religious revolutionaries in our century have made the identical
mistake, imagining that the workers of the world or the faithful just can't wait
to go home at night to study Marx or the Koran. Well, Joe Sixpack, Ivan
Tipichni, and Ali Quat would rather "Baywatch." America has figured it out, and
we are brilliant at operationalizing our knowledge, and our cultural power will
hinder even those cultures we do not undermine. There is no "peer competitor" in
the cultural (or military) department. Our cultural empire has the addicted--men
and women everywhere--clamoring for more. And they pay for the privilege of
their disillusionment.

We are addicted to their oil, it is the engine of our prosperity. They are addicted to our culture, the engine of their defeat.

Paul L. Williams, Ph.D.
(author of The Day of Islam)
with the able assistance of
Shawn Michaels
Jamal Babour
Dr. Hugh Cort

The Islamic practice of taqiyya, meaning "deception" or "concealment," has been refined into an art-form at a jihad training compound for African American converts near the small town of Red House in Charlotte County, Virginia.

The fifty-acre compound is easy to find since the main road leading to it has been named Sheikh Gilani Lane in honor of the guru and founder of a terrorist organization with close ties to Osama bin Laden. The Board of Supervisors of Charlotte Country are either oblivious to the threat of radical Islam on American soil or clandestine advocates of the great jihad.

At the end Sheikh Gilani Lane is a sign - - barely visible through the overgrown brush - - that reads, "The Muslims of the Americas." The sign serves to make the place appear as an innocuous religious settlement, until one realizes that The Muslims of the Americas is, in reality, an outgrowth of Jamaat ul-Fuqra, an alleged sister agency to al-Qaeda.

Several weeks before 9/11, a guard house and a gate had been erected at the entrance to the Red House compound.

But the guard house and the gate are now gone, and no sentries - - armed or otherwise - - are in sight, that is until you get well inside the complex of old trailers and pre-fab shanties. The only person to be seen in the the compound is an African American crone in a full black burqa sans the face cover known as a hijab. The day is hot and humid and the burqa serves to give the wizened old woman the appearance of a wayside witch from a Grimm's fairy tale.
"The men are all gone," the crone says from a park bench. "No one is here.

The Red House compound certainly appears deserted. A few mobile homes, several rusty old trailers, and a few mounds of debris among waist-high weeds remain along an old dirt road that runs through the Islamic village, but there appears to be little of interest, let alone concern.
As soon as the investigators park their car and trek into compound, the old woman removes a mobile phone from a sachet and dials a number.

In a matter of minutes, a pick-up truck appears at the entranceway. Two young African Americans dressed in skull caps and jalabiyahs emerge from the vehicle. "What are you doing here?" they ask.

Jamal, an Egyptian journalist, says in Arabic, "I’m here to see the Imam. Where does he live?"
One of the young men, whose Arabic name translates as "Slave of God", indicates that the Imam is not in and he should knock on the door of a ramshackle blue structure where he was told "Ahmed", one of the Elders may be found.

Jamal proceeds to the structure and rings the bell, but no one answers. Another member of our investigative team knocks at the doors of the trailers and mobile homes but there is no response. Some of the windows to the homes have been holed up with bricks save for openings that are ideal for assault rifles.

The young African Americans, who have shown up on the scene, are becoming agitated. They begin to make calls on their cell phones.

Then something miraculous happens.

At the Imam's residence, Muslim men begin to emerge in droves from a small storage shed attached to the house. It seems like a scene from a Marx Brothers movie in which dozens of people pour out of a closet. The investigators are suddenly surrounded by forty or fifty members of the complex in Islamic gowns and white skullcaps. "What brings you here?" they ask..

"We heard about the village," Jamal says, "and wanted to pay a visit. I thought I could stop by for evening prayers."

"The evening prayers are over," says one of the newly materialized men, who could be a professional body builder.

In the blink of an eye, another wondrous thing occurs.

Hundreds of more African Americans in Islamic garb materialize from the dense forests, the high grass of the open meadows, and the rusty trailers that just seconds ago appeared to be deserted.

A covey of late model cars and SUV’s converge on the compound from a network of dirt roads. The Muslims who emerge from the vehicles appear more affluent than the others. The men wear white halabiyahs with matching head coverings. The women are dressed in colorful caftans and flowing abayas. They seem to be models from the Crescent Moon boutique.
"Are you the police?" a female villager asks through the shaded window of the Imam's residence,

"No," George answers. "We just stopped by to join in prayer."

"This is not a place for tourists," screeches the woman in the Imam's house, "and we don’t like you taking pictures of our houses and automobiles."

By this time, the Red House compound is swarming with hundreds of Muslim men, women, and children - - and several appear to be deeply agitated by the intruders.

Jamal produces a card from a radical imam he had met the day before at the radical Dar al-Hijrah mosque in Falls Church. It serves as a ticket out of the place.

What is taking place in the Red House complex? Is the complex amidst the rolling hills of southern Virginia a peaceful Islamic village where devout Muslims have gathered to retreat from the hustle and bustle of contemporary American life in order to pray, meditate, and to live in strict accordance with the traditions of their faith? Or is it something more sinister - - something that should alarm every American who is concerned about the threat of radical Islam?

These factors are clear:

(1). There is an underground bunker at the complex that may be used for paramilitary training and possibly to harbor deadly weapons for use in the great jihad against Christians and Jews. Twenty-four members of this Jamaat ul-Fuqra complex already have been arrested for trafficking in illegal firearms, including the ammunition for AK-47s.

(2). Members of the compound have been sent to Pakistan and Afghanistan for specialized training in guerilla warfare - - a fact confirmed by Thomas P. Gallagher, a Special Agent for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms.

(3). The Red House compound regularly receives visits from suspicious guests from Egypt, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan.

(4). The Red House cell of ul-Fuqra has metastasized so that similar Islamic compounds have popped up in neighboring Prince George and Campbell Counties. The 25 acre facility in Prince George County is situated on Mahareen Road, a name selected by the Muslim newcomers and duly approved by the local ordinance officials. Mahareen is the plural of the Arabic mahar, meaning "clever one." The facility in Campbell County is considerably larger, occupying more than 100 acres. An additional compound reportedly has materialized in Bedford County near the city of Roanoke.

(5). Several Virginia compounds appear to possess obstacle courses, and firing ranges.
(6). Members of the compounds have been known to refer to themselves as "soldiers of Allah" and "Mohammad’s commandos."
(7) What happens in the Red House compound stays in the Red House compound. The members of the radical Islamic community rarely appear in the nearby town; conduct little business with local merchants; and stay to themselves.

The Muslims of the Americas, the tax-exempt corporation which owns and operates the Red House compound, was formed in 1980 by Pakistani cleric Sheikh Mubarak Ali Gilani. It is, according to an official report, a "front organization" for terrorist activities. A 2005 Homeland Security report predicts that the Muslims of the Americas will sponsor a major terrorist attack on American soil.

The parent organization of The Muslims of the Americas is Jamaat ul-Fuqra or "community of the impoverished" which retains headquarters in Lahore, Pakistan. The purpose of Jamaat ul-Fuqra, as established by Sheikh Gilani, is not to serve some beneficent good for the cause of the impoverished but rather to "purify" Islam through violence.

A quack practitioner of something called "Quranic psychiatry, Sheikh Gilani refers to himself as "the sixth Sultan ul Faqr." The Sheikh claims to have supernatural powers and to receive regular visits from "non-human beings." In 1979, Gilani came to believe that he could begin the processing of purifying Islam through violence with the aid of socially disgruntled and economically disenfranchised blacks within the inner cities of New York and New Jersey. The basis of this belief was Gilani conviction that a sizeable number of African Americans fostered an innate hatred of the United States and could be easily convinced to further the cause of global jihad. Many may have viewed Gilano’s mission as a cockamamie scheme that smacked of racism, but it worked like a hypnotic charm from Scheherazade.

At the al-Farouq mosque in Brooklyn, a dingy establishment at 554 Atlantic Avenue, Gilani, sporting ammunition belts, spoke of Islam as the cure for all societal ills and called upon the young men in attendance to take up arms in the holy war against the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan. Hundreds answered the call and headed off to a training camp in Abbotabad, Pakistan that had been established by Osama bin Laden and other members of the mujahadeen.

Knowing the need for new recruits, Gilani turned to the penal system and focused his attention on converting incarcerated blacks to his radical Islamic doctrine. Imams and religious instructors were dispatched to local, state, and federal prison facilities to accomplish this objective. The results were mind-boggling. Thousands converted on a weekly basis, drawn to the offers of protection, special meals, and release from work detail for daily prayers and the entire month of Ramadan.

Gilani soon came to the realization that it would be financially advantageous to train new recruits for the holy war on American soil rather than to pay the freight of sending them to Pakistan, and the sites of his other training camps throughout the world. And so, Islamberg in Hancock, New York came into being. Soon other hamaats were established in such places as Hyattsville, Maryland; Falls Church, Virginia; Macon, Georgia; York, South Carolina; Dover, Tennessee; Buena Vista, Colorado; Talihina, Oklahoma; Tulane Country, California; Commerce, California; and Onalaska, Washington. The Red House compound cropped up in 1993. Others are under construction, including an expansive facility in Sherman, Pennsylvania. How many hamaats are now in place throughout the United States is anyone’s guess. A low-ball figure is 38.

Before becoming a citizen of the Red House compound or any of the other Fuqra communities, the recruits - - primarily inner city black men who became converts in prison - - are compelled to sign an oath that reads: "I shall always hear and obey, and whenever given the command, I shall readily fight for Allah’s sake." They are also obliged to contribute 70% of their welfare checks and other sources of income to Muslims of the Americas, Inc.

Mission accomplished among the African Americans, Sheikh Gilani returned to his native Lahore circa 1990. In December 1993, he was an honored guest at an international gathering of jihadis at the residence of Hassan al-Turabi in Khartoum. At the gathering, attended by members of al Qaeda, Hezbollah, Hamas, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and the Popular and Democratic Fronts for the Liberation of Palestine, Sheikh Gilani, Osama bin Laden, and other prominent terrorist leaders were caught on film chanting, "Down, down with the USA!" "Down, down with the CIA," and "Death to the Jews."

Over the years, numerous members of Jamaat ul-Fuqra have been convicted in US courts of such crimes as conspiracy to commit murder, firebombing, gun smuggling, and workers’ compensation fraud. Others remain leading suspects in criminal cases throughout the country, including ten unsolved assassinations and seventeen fire-bombings between 1979 and 1990. Associates of the group were also instrumental in the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center.

The criminal charges against the group and the criminal convictions are not things of the past. In 2001, a 19 year-old former resident of the Red House compound a California compound was charged with the first-degree murder in the shooting of a sheriff’s deputy in California. By 2004 federal investigators uncovered evidence that linked both the DC "sniper killer" John Allen Muhammed and "Shoe Bomber" Richard Reid to the group and reports surfaced that Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl was captured and beheaded in the process of attempting to obtain an interview with Sheikh Gilani in Pakistan.

Even though Jamaat ul-Fuqra has been involved in bloody bombings and sundry criminal activities, recruited thousands of members from federal and state penal systems, and appears to be operating paramilitary facilities for militant Muslims, the terror organization remains to be placed on the official US Terror Watch List, and The Muslims of the Americas continue to operate, flourish, and expand as a legitimate nonprofit, tax-deductible charity.
Meanwhile, the hills of rural Virginia are alive with the sound of jihad.
But few, it seems, are listening.

Murder In Anaheim

From this source, on May 29, 2007:
The victims were stabbed, strangled and burned, according to the documents. The Dhanaks' Anaheim Hills home was set on fire.

Iftekhar Murtaza was identified by a "victim," according to police documents presented to the Superior Court.

The motive for the crime appears to be a dispute over religion.

"Information developed revealed the suspect was upset with Shayona's parents and sister for discontinuing the relationship due to different religious backgrounds, Hindu and Muslim," the papers said.

The Dhanaks were reported by friends and neighbors to be devout members of the strict Swaminarayan branch of Hinduism. Murtaza is Muslim.

This blogger has posted about the above story, here and here. From the second of those postings:
second recent hate crime in america by the beloved 'south asian' brothers. first one last week was when a sikh boy had his hair chopped off forcibly in new york. second is this.

it is clearly a religious hate crime.

this is a premedidated and absolutely brutal act of jihad by more than one mohammedan.
MSNBC has published this story on the web. In spite of the family's financial and legal difficulties,
Anaheim police spokesman Sgt. Rick Martinez said police did not believe the crime to be a murder-suicide.

"We're treating this as a double homicide," Martinez said.

Not as a hate crime, as was the bacon on the Koran?

According to this source:
...Van Nuys resident Iftekhar Murtaza was arrested by U.S. Marshals at Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix, Arizona, as he was attempting to leave the country.

Murtaza is being called a person of interest in the May 21, 2007, Anaheim murders of 56-year-old Jayprakash Dhanak and 20-year-old Karishima Dhanak, and the assault on 53-year-old Leela Dhanak. Karishima Dhanak was the daughter of Jayprakash and Leela.

Leela Dhanak was beaten with a blunt instrument and taken to the hospital. The burned bodies of Jayprakash and Karishima were found later on May 22 on a remote bike path in Irvine.

According to court documents acquired by the Orange County Register, Murtaza was arrested at a Phoenix airport with a one way ticket to Bangladesh.

The court documents detail for the first time a motive for the brutal crimes. Murtaza is Muslim. His girlfriend, 18-year-old Shayona Dhanak, younger sister of Karishma and daughter of Jayprakash who were killed are Hindu, according to the OC Register.

Court documents say that the parents and sister pushed Shayona to discontinue her relationship with Murtaza, according to the OC Register.

Witnesses told detectives they saw two people attacking Leela on the front lawn on May 21, and the Dhanak's Anaheim house was set on fire; the cars in front of the house were also burned.

Details are still developing. Let's see how much coverage the mainstream media will give the above story, particularly if the crime turns out to have been motivated by the kill-the-infidel ideology of Islam.

What Does That Tell You About Most Muslims?

A reader emails:

I recently discovered your blog, and appreciated your difficulty in remaining a Muslim after 9/11. I was wondering what you think of something they had at Hot Air recently about Zuhdi Jasser (link). He said the solution to Islamic terrorism is to bring the terrorists back to their faith, and that his Islamic faith has been what has solidified him in his position against terrorism. Hearing a Muslim say something like that was like a breath of fresh air to me, but I wonder how widespread it is, and how really Islamic such an attitude is.

This question requires a careful answer because we have to separate the means and the goals of the Islamic terrorists.

Let me put forth a few statements that I think are true. They range from one extreme to another:

  • A small number of Muslims -- the Jihadists -- are personally willing to use violence against non-Muslims to impose Islam.

  • A significant number of Muslims support the Jihadists -- morally and often financially.

  • A majority of Muslims do not support the means of the Jihadists. They do, however, support the goals of the Jihadists: to have an Islamic super-state where sharia rules.

  • A minority of Muslims think that religion is only a personal matter. (From what I've heard, Zuhdi Jasser seems to fit in this group.)

As one can see, terrorism is a small part of the problem. The major issue is the fusion of religion and politics in Islam. The global Muslim community (the umma) does wish for a grand theocracy

That's certainly not comforting. Most Muslims won't openly support Al Qaeda or its derivatives but then what about sharia? Sharia is made up of retrograde, superstitious and barbaric laws. It, by its very nature, requires force and coercion.

Just take a brief look at the heart of Sunni and Shia Islam.

Saudi Arabia:

  • Women must cover themselves from head to toe in public or else.

  • Non-Islamic religious teachings or places of worship are not allowed.

  • The possession of alcohol is punishable by death.

  • The hands of thieves are amputated.

All these laws are considered legitimate because they're derived from Islam.

Though, one can say that Saudi Arabia and Iran are, somehow, twisting sharia. My response to that: Muslims went nuts over a few drawings in a once-obscure Danish newspaper. Over a hundred people died in the ensuing carnage across the world. One would think that hundreds of millions of Muslims would be shocked, horrified and disgusted by how their, supposedly, peaceful religion is being perverted in these two nations. Yet, do we even see one percent of the cartoon outrage on this matter?

What does that tell us about Islam and most Muslims?

Yeah, and what does the following video tell you?

The fauxtography fools

The Jawa Report (via Ace of Spades) has some of the latest examples of fauxtography brewed in Gaza. Case one: missile with square looking pixel framing in closeup. Case two: a man running with a seemingly injured boy in his arms who looks more like he's playing along and whose other pals, notably the boy to the right, has a hand that doesn't seem quite there. Case three: how exactly do the reporters happen to be on the scene at the right moment? Something just doesn't smell right about all this.

Haleh Esfandiari

Fanny Esfandiari, a 93-year-old great-grandmother with heart disease and bad eyesight, made a desperate trip to Iran's notorious Evin Prison earlier this month.

"I have to find my daughter," she told relatives reluctant to drive her. None thought it would be productive -- or worth the risks. A nephew finally agreed. He stayed in the car as Esfandiari slowly shuffled on her cane up to the hulking white stone compound in Tehran where Iran's kings and theocrats have incarcerated their most famous political prisoners as well as their toughest criminals.

Esfandiari asked to see her daughter, Haleh Esfandiari of Potomac, a scholar once described as the "gold standard" of Middle East analysts, who was detained by Iranian intelligence on May 8.

The elder Esfandiari was told to try the prison's high-security wing -- the infamous Ward 209. There, however, she was turned away, and slowly made her way back to her nephew's car.

Not a word from Condi, Ryan Crocker (who met with these racist criminal thugs this week)?

Former Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Moshe Ya'alon - 'We've lost our fighting instinct'

The long war is something the west needs to consider VERY CAREFULLY

TEL AVIV — A leading Israeli general blamed his country's withdrawal from Gaza for the 2006 war with Hizbullah and warned that government inaction against continuing missile strikes will encourage expanded attacks.

"We may have no choice but to take Gaza again," former Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Moshe Ya'alon said. "I'm not talking about ruling the city, but if we don't go in now, when they're firing at Sderot, we'll find ourselves with rockets in Ashdod."

"Forty years after the Six Day War, it seems we've lost our fighting instinct," Ya'alon said. "These last couple of years all we've been hearing is that we are strong enough to concede, strong enough to run away, or at least that's how it's being perceived by the other side."

The west succeeds in warfare by organizing it's entire society to destroy the structure of the enemy. This effort, to succeed means it must be carried out to the endpoint, for to leave the enemy, who outnumbers you intact merely postpones the decision until a less favorable time, with greater casualties.

Law of nature.

Metropolitan University Academics Will Refuse to Help Root out Islamic Extremists

I attended the London Metropolitan University for two years, the year I remember most was 2001. Specifically, the time after 11/09/2001.

I remember hearing President George Bush of the United States, in a presidential speech saying that Islam was a religion of peace. I believed him. I think he believed the same thing. I remember, somewhat ignorantly, asserting the Islam was a peaceful religion. I could not see how a religion could promote anything other than peace. It made no sense.

How wrong I was. I met five Bin Laden supporters in that time. I remember being in an Afghan chicken shop on Holloway Road, not far from the main university entrance, with a middle eastern girl I had a crush on at the time.

The subject came on to 9/11. I was in for one for the first big shocks of my life. She said America had it coming; they deserved it. I thought you was joking at first. The shop went very quite. Everyone listened to our conversation. Of course I rebutted, I said how can you say it's ok to kill 3,000 innocent people? She would not move. She shrugged her shoulders. Maintained they deserved it. I nearly choked.

Welcome to London Metropolitan University. Things continued to go down hill from here. Shortly after 9/11 British and American forces pounded the Bin Laden hideouts in Afghanistan, and to bring down the Taliban. I remember coming out of my university to these noisy dread-locked white girls, screaming, through their megaphones "No war on Afghanistan!".

They were, I came to learn, members of the communist "Socalist Workers Party". They were whipping up the tensions there and then. Nobody challenged them. Except me of course. Most seemed to take a leaflet and nod in agreement.

Day after day I would be bombarded with Islamic literature, every lunch time the Islamic society would convene to "discuss Islamophobia". Having some discussions with people of the Islamic society it became apparent they supported Bin Laden. They hated America. I felt sick.

What struck me was the the others, I mean the lecturers, the staff, other students didn't seem to have a care in the world.

Fast-forward to 2007. We, Londoners, had our own terror attacks. Had we learnt?

Have the authorities awoken from the slumber? Only just, only recently. I could have told the authorities in 2001, 2002, that the University had Islamic extremists, everywhere it seemed. but nobody would have listened. Of course in retrospect, I should have, regardless.

So imagine my fury when I pick up The London Paper to read that academics at the university will be opposing government measures to crack down on extremists on campus.

The Department for Education and Skills have warned staff to report suspicious behaviour by students on university campuses, amid fears they are being infiltrated by radical preachers and fanatics. But the University and College Union has branded the move a "witch hunt" that is demonising Muslims, and it will ask it's 120,000 members to refuse to comply with the government request.
Funny, then, that this is the university who has repeatedly been in the press due to it's students being involved in extremism. Not just fringe students, but the fucking President of the Islamic Society.

University students at centre of terror plots

Waheed Zaman, 22, a bio-chemistry student and the president of the Islamic Society at London Metropolitan University, was one of 24 people arrested last week. Material found at two portable buildings used by the society includes documents advocating jihad and a pamphlet on how to deal with approaches from the security services.

On searching for this story elsewhere, I came across an article from Hot Air on this very news item.

But of course. Jihad is the vanguard of radical dissent; to report it would be positively McCarthyist, even though the defense always offered for American communists, in stark contrast to the mujahedeen, is that they sought peaceful change through traditional political channels.

And to think, some people believe there’s a leftist/Islamist alliance.

To think eh?

The Hugh Grant Of Pseudostine?

This is too funny! I guess that Arafat's "sacred" burial site didn't bring the fellow too much good will from Allah:

Yasser, she's my baby.

RAMALLAH – Israel today arrested a longtime wanted terror leader here in the West Bank city of Ramallah.

According to Israeli security officials and Palestinian sources in Ramallah speaking to WND, the terrorist was arrested while having car sex just a few hundred feet from late PLO leader Yasser Arafat's gravesite.

According to Israeli security officials and Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades sources in Ramallah, Shawish was arrested after the Israeli police stormed his jeep, which was parked in a lot outside the Muqata, about 200 feet from Arafat's grave. The sources said at the time of his arrest, Shawish was having intercourse in the back seat of his jeep with a Palestinian woman, whose identity is being withheld by WND. The woman was not his wife.

The Brigades, founded by Arafat, largely considers the late PLO leader's resting place to be a sacred site.

Mosque Chief Threatens Violent Revolt In Amsterdam

From the Assyrian International News Agency:

THE HAGUE -- If Amsterdam city council bars construction of the
Westermoskee mosque, a great demonstration of Turks from throughout Europe will
be held. The possibility of this degenerating into violence cannot be ruled out,
the Turkish organisation Milli Gorus warns.

The controversial Westermoskee in Amsterdam will be built come what
may, said Fatih Dag of the Turkish mosque organisation in Trouw newspaper. If
the government blocks its building, Milli Gorus will call on Turks throughout
the whole of Europe to demonstrate. Dag hopes this would be a peaceful
procession, but fears it could get out of hand. "Our people are emotional and
someone crazy can just be walking among them," he said in the

The building of the 42 metre tall, 18-million euros Neo-Ottoman
Westermoskee was blocked months ago after Milli Gorus' orthodox German head
office replaced management in Amsterdam. After that, reports surfaced that Milli
Gorus had wheedled billions of euros out of Turks since the 1990s by having them
invest in Islamic investment funds.

Amsterdam politicians advised against the building of the new
Westermoskee in the 1990s for fears of the orthodox course, but after much
lobbying, the project was last year dubbed a symbol of integration by the then
Justice Minster Donner, who laid the foundation-stone. Last week, it was made
known that municipal authorities and Milli Gorus had suspended their cooperation
on the building anyway.

If the licence for the mosque is definitively withdrawn, this would
be "extremely foolish,"
warns Dag. "I will then immediately call for a
If every Milli Gorus mosque in Europe sends a bus, it will
certainly be busy. I have not tipped off Al Jazeera, but they will certainly get
wind of it, and I will speak to them. That will go out to the entire Arabic
world, cross my heart. All Muslims have a satellite dish, so they will see that
a beautiful project for Muslims is being forbidden here."

"Do not forget", added Dag in Trouw, "that we began the project
with a number of Turks, but with all the hindrance, it has now become a matter
for many Muslims throughout the Netherlands. I expect a revolt among them,
naturally within the legal boundaries, but still: Our people are more emotional than you Europeans. And there can be a crazy person among them."

Amsterdam's Mayor Cohen declined to comment on the apparent threats by Dag. According to his spokesman, the mayor does however want to hear "what is going on" personally from Dag.

They threaten us and threaten us, and we just keep backing up.

Eventually, some people are going to have to stand up and start pushing back.

In Switzerland, the largest political party in Parliament is moving to ban Minarets.

That's good news, but the threats are coming in that case as well. And, the authorities are allowing it.

Hirsi Ali went to Australia, and the Muslims threaten.

Oh, and now I see that 50% of Belgians want headscarves banned. Threats commence in 10, 9, 8, 7 ...

Infidels Are Never Offended

Pastorius, you are ever the politician, but let me just say...

I hate the word "offended." And that was nice of you to tame your post for the offended.

That word used to mean something.

If someone called your Mother a whore, and if she wasn't, that was offensive.

Now, it just means, (read in a very whiney voice) don't say anything, about anyone, for any reason.

That is so not-Infidel!

The Muslims were offended by the Mo-toons...

They were virtually removed from the web, but thanks to bloggers here, I can say, virtually removed.

CAIR is offended every-frickin'-time a Muslim is called into question, and again, everyone backs down.

I've had it with reasonable people being offended.

Leave that to the un-reasonable people.

It's time to draw a line in the sand.

Being Politically Correct and not-Offending-people, is what is holding the world back from squashing the Jihad.

Mark my words.

Start offending, call things as they are, and the world will change.

Offend Americans, offend Europeans, offend everyone, but make them all wake up. Call a spade a spade. I know it happens here on the blog, but do it in your everyday life as well.

Until then, we will just keep meandering along.

Imperialist American Pig-Dogs Rescue 42 Iraqis from Al-Qaeda Prison

BAGHDAD — U.S. forces raided an Al Qaeda hide-out northeast of Baghdad on Sunday and freed 42 Iraqis imprisoned inside, including some who had been tortured and suffered broken bones, a senior U.S. military official said Sunday.

The raid was part of a 3-month-old security crackdown that included the deployment of 3,000 more U.S. troops to Diyala, a violent province north of the capital that has seen heavy fighting in recent weeks, said Maj. Gen. William Caldwell, the top U.S. military spokesman in Iraq.

Caldwell said Iraqis told U.S. forces about the hide-out: "The people in Diyala are speaking up against Al Qaeda."

He said the 42 freed Iraqis marked the largest number of captives ever found in a single Al Qaeda prison. Some of those freed were held for as long as four months and some had injuries from torture and were taken to medical facilities for treatment, he said.

What? No "Panties On The Head?"

While a lot of people who apparently don't get out a lot railed and screeched over Abu Ghraib's famed "panties on the head" abuse of prisoners, very few of these pseudo-intellectuals can be bothered to comment about the genuine bloody torture that is occurring on the battlefield of the Long War.
The Smoking Gun describes the instructions contained in an al-Qaeda torture manual found by US troops in a raid on a safe house in Iraq. (Warning graphic drawings)

In a recent raid on an al-Qaeda safe house in Iraq, U.S. military officials recovered an assortment of crude drawings depicting torture methods like “blowtorch to the skin” and “eye removal.” Along with the images, which you’ll find on the following pages, soldiers seized various torture implements, like meat cleavers, whips, and wire cutters.

What? No humiliating body searches by women or the disrepectful handling of Korans?

Silence on Torture: Silence is complicity, you know. (Instapundit)

For somebody who loves torture stories to death, there’s lots of silence about this from Andrew Sullivan who’s busy slamming Catholics, sniffing out homophobia, rooting about with Ron Paul and showing the view from somebody’s window. It’s just work, work, work, for Andrew.

Don Surber asks and answers: What was Amnesty International’s reaction? — cricket chirp

“Given the media’s fascination with what American soldiers were doing at Abu Ghraib, is it safe to assume that the same level of attention will be given to what our enemy is doing? Or, would that be too much like journalism?” (Newsbusters)

The media, and the less bright bloggers, appear to be fixated on the exaggeration of the sins of coalition forces, and completely blind to the actual horror that is being faced by the western world. These self-lobotomised bloggers and journalists were all over Abu Ghraib, but since looking at the real threats to civilisation might upset some of their "readers," they choose to ignore the real problems.

Respect them? What is there to respect?

Hamas Speak at The Guardian's Hay Literary Festival in Wales

The missing BBC reporter Alan Johnston is alive, safe and could be freed soon, a Palestinian government spokesman and member of Hamas has said.

Speaking at the Hay literary festival in Wales, Ghazi Hamad said he was personally involved in trying to free Mr Johnston
Taken from an article at BBC News regarding Alan Johnston

And here's a quick summation of the Hamas Charter

"Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it."

"There is no solution for the Palestinian question except through Jihad. Initiatives, proposals and international conferences are all a waste of time and vain endeavors."

"After Palestine, the Zionists aspire to expand from the Nile to the Euphrates. When they will have digested the region they overtook, they will aspire to further expansion, and so on. Their plan is embodied in the "Protocols of the Elders of Zion", and their present conduct is the best proof of what we are saying."

I'd been keen to know how Ghazi Hamad was granted permission to get in to the UK seeing as Hamas is a listed terrorist organisation under EU law. Not to mention the insanity of The Guardian to invite Hamas members to speak at their literary festival. The intelligentsia is officially in la la land.
