The Mistake Of Multiculturalism

Allah at Hot Air links to New Sisyphus who has the transcript of a speech on multiculturalism which Mark Steyn delivered last week in Australia.

It provides for a very interesting read. He is, of course, right on the money. Multiculturalism has been a mistake and it's time to do something about it: immigrants are welcome, but they must assimilate. They choose to live here, in the West, thus they must assimilate.
Their culture isn't 'better' than ours, nor is it 'equal'. If it were, we could just as well do away with democracy and our Judeo-Christian legacy and live like they do in for instance Iran, Saudi Arabia, andsoforth, andsoforth.

Infidel Babe Of The Week

Nicole Kidman.

NICOLE Kidman has made a public stand against terrorism.

The actress, joined by 84 other high-profile Hollywood stars, directors, studio bosses and media moguls, has taken out a powerfully-worded full page advertisement in today's Los Angeles Times newspaper.

It specifically targets "terrorist organisations" such as Hezbollah in Lebanon and Hamas in Palestine.

"We the undersigned are pained and devastated by the civilian casualties in Israel and Lebanon caused by terrorist actions initiated by terrorist organisations such as Hezbollah and Hamas," the ad reads.

"If we do not succeed in stopping terrorism around the world, chaos will rule and innocent people will continue to die.

"We need to support democratic societies and stop terrorism at all costs."

Now, is that freakin' hot, or what?

Nemesis: The West

Immigrant Muslims would come to exercise a virtual monopoly over the definition of a properly constituted Islamic life in America. For these Muslims, the nemesis was not white supremacy, but "the West." In their eyes, the West was not a racial, but a religious and civilization threat.

The above is a portion of a review on the book "Islam and the Blackamerican: Looking Toward the Third Resurrection" by Sherman A. Jackson. Its found, not in some seedy backroom of a Jihadist madrassa, but on Astrolabe.com, an emminently "moderate" Islamic online bookstore recommended by the Igra Islamic School in Surrey, BC, Canada. Nor is this book an exception on the site. Here is another, starker, challenge to our values:

"Blending history, spirituality and activism, this young American Muslim author shares his desire toward a new and brighter reality, emphasizing "ijtihad," which mandates that Muslims exercise cognitive ingenuity in taking ownership of America and helping solve American challenges."

Of course Astrolabe has its fair share feelgood religious pap like that found in Christian bookstores, but the type of anti-Western diatribe found above is rarely seen in contemporary Christian literature.

None of this is against civil law in most Western countries of course, and I will be the first to support free speech, whatever that speech says, but it is an indication that moderate Islam is the real danger we face. The so-called "moderates" play good cop to the Islamist bad cops, making demands and gaining concessions in return for grudgingly "condemning" terrorism. Relatively benign "requests" slip by almost un-noticed, "family law" modifications allowing limited adoption of Sharia being only one of many. It is becoming increasingly impossible to open any "moderate" Islamic site anywhere without finding some kind of subtle or not-so subtle attack on either the West or its values, and more and more "moderate" Islamic organizations are making open demands for change.

It is time we stood up for the West instead of flagellating ourselves for the largely imagined sins of our forefathers. It can't be that hard to do; look at the majesty of Canada and compare it to the shitholes Islam came from. Absent oil money Islamic states would almost across the board reside at a level with the lowest of basketcase nations of Africa and the Muslim populations of Asia would still be at the lowest strata of society, as they are now for the most part. It is time to baldly tell Muslims that if they don't like it here they ought to go away, because we DO like it here. It is not our responsibility to change, it is theirs.

Storm Track Disinformation: Understanding Mulsim Language

From The Gathering Storm

Ran across this blog today by a Svend White who writes on observations on Islam, America and international affairs from an unapologetic liberal and a proud American Muslim. Note the word ‘unapologetic – i.e. an apologist and appeaser.

His most recent blog on understanding how muslims speak and what they mean was picked up by Alt.muslim. In a satirical vein, Mr. White lampoons the media for their inability to understand what muslims say and what they mean. In the process he inadvertently provides a perfect list of what muslims say today and what they do mean.

Rule 1: Muslims always speak truthfully and literally… When a muslim says he’ll kill you, he means it.
Rule 2: ...except when they're lying to trick you.
Rule 3: Muslim words apply to all times and places.
Rule 4: Deep down, Muslims are always thinking about (and yearning for) violence.
Rule 5: It's always "jihad".

Mr. White, I couldn’t have said it any better.

But the real kicker and one that shows his true lack or understanding of the difference between Islam and other religions was the blog entries entitled The Da Vinci protests, or Christians get their "cartoons". He writes:

“Speaking of the "Da Vinci Code", protests by offended Christians, particularly Catholics, are happening around the world. Many are calling for it to be banned, censored, or accompanied by a disclaimer noting that it is a work of fiction. Deja vu all over again. It'll be interesting to see how many of those who loudly denounced Muslims for supposedly imposing their religious values during the cartoon controversy will speak out against the attempts of some Christians to impose their values on the world.”

Amazing! Simply amazing! The ignorance of the man! Mr. White, I haven’t seen rabid Catholics burning American flags in the street, killing those who don’t believe in Christianity, or burning down buildings protesting this “cartoon”. To even dare to draw and analogy between the response of the two is outrageous and shows either your total lack of understanding – or perhaps just a feeble attempt at defend the atrocious behavior of muslims in response to the simple and inane cartoons of Mohammed.

Oh yes, I forgot. You were referring to rule # 4.

The Devil Pontificates

Muslihoon left this illuminating link in the comments. An excerpt:

The Prophet [Muhammed] said, "Were dogs not a species of creature I should command that they all be killed; but kill every pure black one." [Muslim, Narrated AbuDharr: "...The black dog is a devil."]

[Emphasis mine.]

Ladies and gentlemen, this devil, according to Islam, should be killed.

El Salvador To Move Embassy From Jerusalem

I remember a year or so ago, I was so proud that even though all the major countries didn't have their embassies in Jerusalem (in order to appease the Islamic world), there were a couple of small countries that had the balls to put their embassies in Israel's true capital. Now it seems like all that's gonna change :

El Salvador will move its embassy in Israel from Jerusalem to Tel Aviv, the Foreign Ministry said on Friday, in a move bound to upset Israel and please Arab nations.

El Salvador would have been the only country in the world left with an embassy in Jerusalem after neighboring Costa Rica announced on August 16 it would pull its diplomatic mission out of the city.

A US ally which has a small contingent of troops in Iraq, El Salvador is governed by conservative President Tony Saca, who is of Palestinian Christian descent.

"Considering the current situation in the Middle East, El Salvador has decided to move its diplomatic representation in the state of Israel," The ministry said in a statement.

Israel regards East Jerusalem as part of its "undivided and eternal capital." It captured the eastern part of Jerusalem in the 1967 Middle East war and annexed it in a move not recognized internationally.

The 200,000 Arab residents of East Jerusalem are caught between Israel and an emerging Palestinian state which wants the eastern part of Jerusalem as its future capital.

Costa Rican President Oscar Arias, a former Nobel Peace Prize winner, said earlier this month he made the decision to change the embassy's location to win more friends in the Middle East and comply with UN resolutions.
Obviously they don't remember that all important line from the bible :

"And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed."
Genesis 12:3

Why I Have Grave Doubts About Iraqi Democracy

I have put off writing this post for a very long time because, honestly, it is perhaps the most depressing thing I have ever felt the need to write. It will not be well-written. As I set out to write it, I do not even know if I will complete it.

Last night I posted an article by Ralph Peters wherein he expressed the following sentiments:

Iraqis deserved their chance. They got it. They voted. Three times. Each time along confessional or ethnic lines. They elected ward bosses, not national leaders.

Iraq doesn't have a democracy in any meaningful sense. It isn't even a nation. Iraqis didn't vote for freedom. They voted for revenge against each other. Iraqi democracy hasn't yet failed entirely. But it looks as if it might.

Fellow Infidel JayMac left an angry comment:

Where does this guy get off claiming that Iraq isn't a democracy or even a nation? I hear the same crap about Amercia from people who can't stand that Bush was elected to office. Tell that to the millions of people who braved the threat of terrorism to simply go and vote.

Yes, I remember the elections. I remember those heady days well. I remember how proud I was at the time. I felt as if people like us had fought the brave fight and that we were seeing the first fruits of victory. I didn't think at the time that victory was assured, but I thought we were on the right track.

But, many things have happened since then that have slowly brought me to have serious doubts as to whether Iraq was ever headed in the right direction. Now, understand, I do not read the leftist media. If an article seems to be biased against George Bush, or against the idea of the Iraq war, I rarely bother with it, so the negative opinion I have formed about our democracy project in Iraq has come over time as little pieces of information slowly began to pile up in my conciousness and form themselves into doubts.

One of the first things I began to notice was that each time there was an election in Iraq, I saw fewer women wearing anything other than the blackest burqa or chador.

Yes, it is true that Iraq prior to the U.S. invasion was Saddam Hussein's personal S&M dungeon, (and certainly I would never argue that it is not a postive thing that we ended his regime), but Iraq was also known for having a relatively educated and secular populace by Muslim-world standards.

So what's with all the burqas? And, when is the last time you saw a photograph out of Iraq which included a woman who was not wearing a burqa or chador? Do you think all these women have freely chosen to wear burqas?

If Natan Sharansky's book (upon which George Bush constructed much of the inspiring rhetoric with which he supported our efforts in Iraq) is correct, then the hallmark of a free country is the ability of its citizens to walk into the town center and express their opinions without fear of violent reprisal.

If every woman feels the need to don a burqa or chador, then how do you think that town hall test is faring for the female half of the population in Iraq?

And, I must say, I remember being thrilled at the sight of women in Burqas voting. But, as time has passed, and each succeeding election only seemed to bring on more burqas I began to wonder, according to whose will does a woman vote when she votes in a burqa? Does she cast her vote freely according to her own will, or has she been instructed how to vote by her husband, or by the local Imam?

How would you expect a black man to have voted in the pre-Civil War American South, if he showed up to cast his vote chained together with a whole group of slaves?

The burqa is the chains of female slavery. Do not fool yourself. It is possible that many of these women were voting according to their own will, but let us not let our guard down on totalitarianism, and the burqa is a very clear sign of totalitarianism.

Now, let us look at exactly who the Iraqi people voted for. Ralph Peters stated that the Iraqi people didn't vote for parties of ideas, but instead they voted for revenge against each other. I'm not going to defend that statement, except to say that Ralph Peters spends a lot of time in Iraq. This means that he knows better than I which sects of Iraqi society the various political parties represent.

All I can tell you is, from what I have read, the Iraqis elected parties which are largely Islamist or Communist in nature. The largest coalition in the Iraqi Parliament is called the United Iraqi Alliance. The UIA garnered 41% of the votes and now has 128 of 275 seats in the Parliament.

The Alliance is made up of primarily Shiite groups "most importantly the Islamic Al-Da'wa Party and Supreme Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq." Now, it is true that Ahmed Chalabi's group was also part of this alliance, and he is a supporter of secularism, but he has since left the coalition.

The Alliance also includes supporters of Muqtada al-Sadr. Muqtada al-Sadr is the radical Shiite cleric who led the Mahdi Army in a seige against coalition forces in Najaf. We surrounded al-Sadr and his army in a Mosque, but then, afraid to enrage the populace by sending troops into a "holy" place, we instead chose to make a deal with him. In one of our greatest failures during the course of this war, we guaranteed al-Sadr that he would not face arrest in turn for his laying down of arms.

We should have killed him. I don't know of any supporter of the war who does not think so.

Now, the man has his own political party with seats in the Iraqi Parliament.

The second most powerful coalition in the Iraq Parliament is called the Democratic Patriotic Alliance of Kurdistan. This alliance has 22% of the seats in the Parliament. I will not go into detail about all the separate parties which go to make up this alliance. Suffice it to say, there are good and bad things. Jalal Talibani is a principle in one of the parties. However, his group states that they are working towards "Kurdish self-determination." Another party is an entity of the Muslim Brotherhood, which gave rise to Hamas and CAIR. Another party bills itself as Communist.

Clearly, this is an alliance the component parts of which do not fit together in any way except that they are all Kurdish. The ideologies do not go together. Instead, tribal concerns trump ideology.

The third most powerful coalition in the Iraqi Parliament is called the Sunni Iraqi Accord Front which has 15% of the total seats. A prime player in this alliance is the Iraqi Islamic Party. "The Iraqi Islamic Party (Hizb al-Islami al-Airaqi) is a Sunni Arab Islamist political party in Iraq. The party was founded in 1960 and evolved out of the Muslim Brotherhood movement."

The next largest coalition is called the Iraqi National List. This coalition "was meant to offer a secular, cross-community alternative - composed of both Sunnis and Shiites - to the religious Shiite United Iraqi Alliance and the Sunni Iraqi Accord Front." That is clearly a positive. However, this party has a mere 8% of the total seats in the Iraqi Parliament.

Additionally, it is instructive to view a list of the various parties which go together to form this alliance:

Iraqi Communist Party
Assembly of Independent Democrats
People's Union
Al-Qasimy Democratic Assembly
Iraqi Republican Group
Arab Socialist Movement
Independent Democratic Gathering
Iraqi National Accord
League of Iraqi Turkmen Lords and Tribes led by Abd Al-Hammed Al-Bayati
Independent Iraqi Sheikhs Council

I apologize for being snide, but that list is hardly Jefferson, Madison and Adams.

We have now looked at the four major political alliances which comprise 81% of the Iraqi Parliament. The first three are tribally based. The third is not, but is, instead composed of socialists, communists, sheikhs and "lords and tribes."

Now, to be fair, this does not mean that there is no real Democracy at work here. The title of this post expresses "doubts", not conclusions. However, viewed from the much-maligned "Western perspective" it is hard to view alliances comprised of Islamists and communists as being as being the bedfellows of freedom and human rights.

Ask yourself, would you align yourself with Islamists and Communists? Against who, and under what conditions? These coalitions sound more like the types of alliances one makes in a war. In World War II, of course, the United States aligned itself with the Soviet Union in order to vanquish Germany and Japan. But, one would never expect such an alliance in a sane world.

Hey look, I want to be argued out of my doubts. Fire away. Convince me. I recognize that I am likely to lose friends over the ideas I am expressing, just as I lost friends when the war began and I went from a lifetime of leftism to being a supporter of George Bush.

Hopefully, some of you can convince me that I am wrong. I do wonder whether the old phrase "things are darkest before the dawn" somehow applies here, but I can't see how. This dawn seems to have broken a while back, and the new light shines down on an Iraq that looks a lot like the rest of the Middle East, only instead of being governed by a thug, this Iraq looks like what you'd have if you put all the countries and competing ideologies of the Middle East into one pot and left it to boil.

Maybe some good soup will come from this, but in order to have good soup, don't you have to start with some good ingredients?

A New Caliphate

One of the arguments that some moderate Muslims have expoused is that violence is not permitted in their religion, unless mandated by the ruler of the Caliphate. It' s a claim that has been made to me during my internet travels on more than one occasion. Osama Bin Laden or the like, they say, do not have the authority to call for jihad- only the Caliph can do that. I wonder then how they will react to the news that a group is now attempting to create an Islamic Caliphate in Gaza?

Meanwhile, a radical Islamic group called Hizb al-Tahrir (Liberation Party) is planning to declare the birth of an Islamic caliphate in the Gaza Strip on Friday. The relatively small party, which is seen as more extreme than Hamas, is said to have increased its popularity following what is perceived as a Hizbullah victory over Israel.

On Tuesday, thousands of the party’s supporters staged a demonstration in Gaza City to mark the anniversary of the end of the collapse of the Ottoman Empire. It was the first demonstration in the Gaza Strip in which demonstrators called for establishing an Islamic caliphate that would rule not only in the PA territories, but the entire world.

Buoyed by the large turnout, the party’s leaders are now considering declaring an Islamic caliphate in the Gaza Strip during Friday prayers, sources close to the party said.

If this new Caliphate calls for Muslims all over the world to wage jihad on the infidels what, I wonder, will the moderates have to say about it?

CAIR ALERT: American Women Convert to Islam

They are kidding right? Opening up my radical Islamic CAIR alerts necessitates my squinting, turning my head sideways, and peeking as you would at something really vile. Radical Islamic CAIR and the jihad media (in this case PEOPLE swagazine) is exalting the conversion of Judeo-Christian American women to Islam? Just listen to Phyllis Chelser here in our interview, detailing life as an American woman in a Muslim country;

A growing number of American women find a safe haven by embracing an ancient faith
People, 9/4/06

Angela Collins was among the millions of travelers inconvenienced a few weeks ago when British authorities announced the breakup of a conspiracy to destroy U.S.-bound airliners. The ban on passengers carrying liquids made her trip from South America "gross," to say the least. "You can't wash your face, you can't brush your teeth," she says. The incident also brought her more important concerns.

As we speak another American Airlines flight is being diverted to Bangor Maine

BurkaAt least two of those arrested in London were converted Muslims, like Collins herself. Yet their actions were so far removed from the religion she loves. "There are those converts who choose the extreme tract, which means they are angry about the way things are working in the world without Islamic law," she says. "It's the opposite of what drew me into Islam." What drew her in, says the 30-year-old school director with pale blue eyes, was a religion that made her feel cared for, something she felt she missed growing up as a latchkey child. The Council on American-Islamic Relations estimates that some 20,000 Americans convert to Islam each year, with women outnumbering men approximately four to one. According to Georgetown professor Yvonne Haddad, coauthor of Muslim Women in America, some, like Collins, are inspired by the rules of the Koran, which they find empowering. Some are seeking a community that endorses a woman's more traditional role as homemaker. Others are purely on a spiritual quest. "I think Americans should see them as women who have found themselves," says Haddad.

An Indictment against Islam

Reading our recent article about the laughably, unintentionally-ironically named “Islamic Human Rights Commission” and their legal jihad in the UK got me thinking. (Editor’s note-- Islam gives individuals only one ‘human right’, and that is to be an expendable slave of Allah. Some right, eh?)

Why can’t we infidels use the same tactics against the enemy that the Jihadists are currently using against us? Why must we ceaselessly endure a situation where our own legal system is used as yet another weapon of the Great Islamic Jihad? The jihadists’ use of our own courts in their Holy War on the infidels is deliberate, and is also known as “lawfare”, with groups like the ACLU as their willing and eager accomplices.

I say, let’s turn the tables and use the courts to defend ourselves for a change. And the best defense is usually a good offense. We need lots of attorneys to start filing numerous lawsuits against Muslims. Muslim governments, Muslim “interest groups” like CAIR, Muslim “charities”, religious organizations, Muslim banks, Muslim-owned companies, and so on, are all legitimate targets for our proposed legal counter-jihad.

Now, what should our legal counter-jihad charge the enemy with? Well, the PI team has a few ideas about that. Although the PI blogging team has precious little, if any, actual legal experience, we feel that we do have some good ammo to offer the lawyers. Hence the following…

Last Chance For Democracy In The Arab World

Ralph Peters has written a hard-assed essay which expresses many of my thoughts of late.

I'm going to excerpt highlights here, but really you should go read the whole thing:

WITH the best intentions, President Bush recently declared that it's racist to say that Arabs can't build democracies. Is it?

I made the same claim in the run-up to the first Iraqi elections, when Western leftists desperate for Iraq to fail tried to block the vote by claiming that the population wasn't ready.

President Bush needs to face that possibility. Managing the regional and global consequences will be his responsibility. We will have to fight on elsewhere - with more realism and, regrettably, less idealism. The fools who hope Iraq will fail will face more wars, not fewer.

Meanwhile, the test for Iraq's elected government is straightforward: Can it excite Iraqis to a spirit of mortal sacrifice in defense of a constitutional system? The terrorists, insurgents and militiamen will die for their beliefs.

If other Iraqis will not risk their lives - in decisive numbers - to seize their unique chance at freedom, there is no hope. And Iraq is the entire Arab world's last hope.

As for the charge of racism leveled at skeptics of the Arab propensity for democracy, it would be true if the discussion were about individuals. Arabs in the United States are as capable of functioning within a democratic system as anyone else. They're just as American as any other citizens - because their families escaped the Middle East.

Arab states are another story: Their social, political, economic and cultural structures leave them catastrophically uncompetitive with the developed world.

A culture of blame prevents moral, social and political progress. This is a self-help universe. The nonsensical Arab insistence that all Arab problems are the fault of America and Israel (or the Crusades) ignores the fact that Arab civilization has been in decline for 700 years - and has been in utter disarray for the last 200.

This is a homemade failure. Through their own choices, cherished beliefs, values and norms, Arabs have condemned themselves to strategic incompetence. No society that oppresses women, denies advancement on merit even to men, indulges in fantastic hypocrisy, wallows in corruption, undervalues secular learning, reduces its god to a nasty disciplinarian and comforts itself with conspiracy theories will ever compete with us.

The question has been asked before: Despite the massive influx of petrodollars over a half-century, where are the great Arab universities, the research institutes, the cutting-edge industries, the efficient, humane governments, the enlightened societies?

The Arab world has behaved as irresponsibly as a drunk who won the lottery, squandering vast wealth and creating nothing beyond a few urban theme parks.

Surely, if Arab societies were capable of producing and sustaining democracies, we would see at least one.

Arab terrorism isn't about redressing wrongs. It's about revenge on a successful civilization that left the dungeon-cultures of the Middle East in the dust.

We've done what we could in Iraq, and we've done it nobly. We should not withdraw our troops precipitously, but the clock is ticking. It's now up to the Iraqis to succeed - or become yet another pathetic Arab failure. If Iraqis are unwilling to grasp the opportunity our soldiers and Marines bought them with American blood, it's their tragedy, not ours.

We did the right thing by deposing Saddam Hussein. The Arab Middle East needed one last chance. Iraq is it. If Iraqi democracy fails, there will be no hope, whatsoever, for the Arab world.

Voices of Muslim Moderation

Some of the moderate Muslim leaders told Miss Kelly that important days in Ramadan and Eid-ul-Adha should be made public holidays for Muslims. Some (not all) the Muslim leaders attending also said Sharia law should also be introduced in Britain. While this specifies stonings and amputations as criminal punishments, Dr Pasha said moderately that he wanted it only for family, not criminal, law.

"We are willing to co-operate but there should be a partnership," Dr Pasha was quoted as saying. "They should understand our problems then (sic) we will understand their problems."

Hmmm ...

The woman whose water bottles tested positive for explosives, causing the West Virginia Tri-State Airport to be closed down for three hours, only to later be cleared, apparently had a physical skirmish with her husband the night before:

The incident with Qayyum's bag caused one US Airways flight to be cancelled. Her flight was sent on to Charlotte, a noontime flight was redirected to land in Charleston and an evening flight arrived about two hours late, Wunder said.

On Tuesday police responded to a 911 call from Qayyum's apartment after a woman called and was disconnected while crying on the telephone.

Upon police arrival, Qayyum "was observed crying uncontrollably as she sat on the floor," the Barboursville police report said. "She reported that during an argument the accused [her husband] pushed her and smacked her in the face."

Fact: Several female Jihadis were women who had "brought dishonor" upon their families. These women had been presented with a choice; either carry out a suicide bombing, which would, presumably redeem they and their families, or be subject to an "honor killing" by the male members of their family.

What do you think may have been happening here?

Storm Track Infiltration: The Useful Idiots Strike Again

From The Gathering Storm

Question: Javed Iqbal, 42, was recently arrested for re-broadcasting an Hezbollah propaganda TV station in Brooklyn, NY. The US Treasury Department has branded the TV station, al-Mana, a terrorist entity and froze the US assets of the station in March, saying it supported fund-raising and recruitment activities of Hezbollah. What is his defense?

Answer: Iqbal had done no wrong and his arrest is as a violation of his free-speech rights, stated his Useful Idiot defense lawyers. Here’s their rationale for Iqbal’s act of sedition.

"It's like the government of Iran saying we are going to ban the New York Times because we think of it as a terrorist outfit, or China saying we will ban CNN," said Farhan Memon, a spokesman for the law firm Ndanusa and Davis, which is representing Iqbal.

Can you believe the twisted logic? But wait a minute. Aren't CNN and the NYT firends to the Islamists – they offer aid and comfort to the enemy with their slanted and ‘leaky’ reporting.

News to the Useful Idiots - the Constitution is not a suicide pact. Free speech ends when sedition begins.

Winds of War: Theocracy on the 100-Year-Plan

From The Gathering Storm

“It isn't a "war on terror" any more than the European theater of WWII was a "war on the blitzkrieg" or the recent Hezbollah-Israeli debacle was a "war on incoming missiles." The war is against Islamic totalitarianism.” So said blogger Sixth Column.

I could not have said it any better.

And the Islamo-fascists are winning, not because they are more advanced or stronger but because we are fighting his kind of war. An asynchronous war – a war he can win if we don’t wake up to that fact and stop hobbling ourselves. The military front of this war is clear and easy to see but the support structure that supports it – the ‘Support Pyramid’ – is not taken into account and confronted to defeat the enemy. This Support Pyramid is only one of the ways that the Islamists are using to fight this war.

As stated in a previous blog, the Support Pyramid consists of:

  1. The base pyramid layer is "Public Opinion" that provides a fertile layer for fomenting sympathy (this layer relies upon tear-jerking BBC/CNN broadcasts and the Internet). This layer includes the ‘Useful Idiots’ who appease and apologize for the enemy- or are downright anti-American traitors like Michael Moore.
  2. The next layer is "Passive Support," or "Neutral," which means that out of conviction or fear, one who is aware of terrorists or their activities will say or do nothing. Muslim moderates who out of fear for their lives are intimidated into silence.
  3. The third layer is "Active Support" (which Hezbollah vigorously practices in the United States and other open societies), and involves fundraising, providing safe houses, disinformation, seeding confusion like organizations like CAIR. Also those nations that lend financial support and safe-havens for planning and training.
  4. The next layer is the "Operatives"--guys like Mohammed Atta, who perform missions, and "Leadership," which is the top layer.

We are dealing with a very patient enemy. We see this war lasting 50 years. They see it as a continuation of a war that started hundreds of years ago. Ahmadinejad, speaks of a "historic war".

"It dates backs hundreds of years. Sometimes Islam has advanced. Sometimes nobody was winning. The skirmishes in the occupied land are part of a war of destiny. The outcome of hundreds of years of war will be defined in Palestinian land"

Our enemy sees the march of Theocracy on the 100-Year-Plan while we look to the next election. Our short sightedness will guarantee defeat – or at best, the death of millions of innocent Americans.

A Hobson's Choice.

Paul Sperry, writing for FrontPage magazine knows #3 of the Support Pyramid very well. In his article he says that CAIR and other Muslim activists are steadily institutionalizing Islam at the local level, exploiting the very religious freedoms and tolerances they would ban.

He gives these examples.

  • In North Seattle, Wash., a public pool agreed to set up a swim time for Muslim women in which men, even male lifeguards, are banned.
  • In Hamtramck, Mich., officials amended a noise ordinance to let mosques broadcast calls to prayer over loudspeakers -- despite complaints that the Arabic chants, repeated five times a day, are a nuisance.
  • In Irvington, N.J., public schools agreed to close for Muslim holidays, joining schools in Paterson and Trenton, as well as ones in Dearborn, Mich., that have recognized Islamic holy days.
  • In Fairfax, Va., public schools agreed to produce local TV announcements in Arabic and Farsi.
  • In San Francisco, a federal appeals court gave its blessing to Muslim role-playing exercises in California public schools, even though the pro-Islamic lessons -- written by Saudi-backed consultants -- appear designed to promote the religion rather than simply teach its history.
  • In Kansas City, airport officials agreed to install special wash basins in restrooms for Muslim taxi drivers who complained they couldn't easily wash their feet before praying.

In the words of Baron Bodissey over ate the Gates of Vienna, We are dealing with a ‘cultural virus’. And that’s an apt description of Islamism.

“The advent of digital computers and the emergence of the internet have allowed the development of a generalized theory of viruses as invasive self-replicating structures within information systems… In many ways radical Islam acts as a virus on societal structures. Cultures are information systems that exist within a different substrate from those of biological cells or computer systems. The individual - with a cultural template stored in his brain - is the equivalent to a computer or a cell, and his environment is the complex network of communication by which humans exchange information.”
“Radical Islam is a very simple information structure, yet quite adept at invading its hosts. It travels through various media and finds a vulnerable receptor in the outer defenses of its host - a cultural template weakened by decades of political correctness and the behavioral sink of the modern popular media - and uses the host’s intellectual mechanisms to reproduce via proselytizing...If we are to overcome this infection we must restore our cultural immunological system...”

We need to confront the Support Pyramid on all levels if we are to turn to turn the tide of this this war in our favor and fight it on our terms.

Ahmadinejad "Would Sacrifice Half Of Iran"To Eliminate Israel

From the Jerusalem Post:

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, if he ever became the supreme decision maker in his country, would "sacrifice half of Iran for the sake of eliminating Israel," Giora Eiland, Israel's former national security adviser, told The Jerusalem Post on Thursday.

At present, Eiland stressed, the ultimate decision maker in Iran was Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, 67, whom he said was "more reasonable." But, Eiland went on, "if Ahmadinejad were to succeed him - and he has a reasonable chance of doing so - then we'd be in a highly dangerous situation."

The 49-year-old Iranian president, he said, "has a religious conviction that Israel's demise is essential to the restoration of Muslim glory, that the Zionist thorn in the heart of the Islamic nations must be removed. And he will pay almost any price to right the perceived historic wrong. If he becomes the supreme leader and has a nuclear capability, that's a real threat."

In facing up to Iran's nuclear ambitions, Eiland said the United States had three possible courses of action, "all of them bad," and that a decision could not be postponed for too long, "since delay, too, is a decision of sorts."

The first option was "to give up" - to accept that Iran was going nuclear and try to make the best of it. By "making the best of it," Eiland said, he meant "isolating Iran economically, politically and internationally in the hope that this will eventually prompt an internal push for regime change."

This might also give other nations the sense that the political price of going nuclear was too high for them to contemplate, and might thus deter nations such as Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Turkey, Algeria and others from seeking to emulate Iran and spelling the full collapse of the nuclear nonproliferation era.

Washington's second option was to launch a last-ditch effort at diplomatic action, he said. At this stage, a mixture of sanctions and bonuses would not be sufficient to deter Iran altogether, but it might seek to persuade Teheran to suspend progress for two or three years.

"In return, the US would have to open direct engagement with Teheran, with full recognition of the regime. This would boost the regime's credibility and standing at home and allow it to say it was voluntarily suspending the program for a while," he said.

The advantage for the Bush administration was that "Bush could then say, 'They didn't go nuclear on my watch, and it's up to my successors to keep things that way.'"

The third option, said Eiland, was a military operation - born of the sense that the diplomatic process would not work and that there could be no compromise with an axis-of-evil power. However, internal political realities and public opinion in the US were not conducive to this, he said, nor was international support readily available. Furthermore, said Eiland, "this would be action that would have to be taken within months.

If not, and if Iran continues enrichment, it will complete the research and development stage and have a proven ability which it can then duplicate at numerous sites. And at that point it could not be stopped by military action. Six months or 12 months from now would be too late, he said.

Tellingly, Eiland noted, it seemed to him that the difficulties facing the administration over that third course were growing.

So far, the State Department is relying on reports from United Nations personnel and nongovernmental organizations in southern Lebanon

Can someone explain this to me?

Our allies, fighting the striking arm of our most inimical foe, armed and financed by that foe, who themselves have named the USA as their enemy, in the midst of an ENEMY population, is being investigated by the State Dept which ALSO held up weapons for our ally after they had been attacked by that enemy.

The most hypocritical people on earth

Metula News Agency
Sunday 30 July [21:23:00 BST]

By Michael Béhé in Beirut

Translated from the French by Llewellyn Brown

The politicians, journalists and intellectuals of Lebanon have, of late, been experiencing the shock of their lives. They knew full well that Hezbollah had created an independent state in our country, a state including all the ministers and parallel institutions, duplicating those of Lebanon. What they did not know – and are discovering with this war, and what has petrified them with surprise and terror –is the extent of this phagocytosis.

In fact, our country had become an extension of Iran, and our so-called political power also served as a political and military cover for the Islamists of Teheran. We suddenly discovered that Teheran had stocked more than 12,000 missiles, of all types and calibers, on our territory and that they had patiently, systematically, organized a suppletive force, with the help of the Syrians, that took over, day after day, all the rooms in the House of Lebanon. Just imagine it : we stock ground-to-ground missiles, Zilzals, on our territory and that the firing of such devices without our knowledge, has the power to spark a regional strategic conflict and, potentially, bring about the annihilation of Lebanon.

We knew that Iran, by means of Hezbollah, was building a veritable Maginot line in the south but it was the pictures of Maroun el-Ras and Bint J’bail that revealed to us the magnitude of these constructions. This amplitude made us understand several things at once : that we were no longer masters of our destiny. That we do not possess the most basic means necessary to reverse the course of this state of things and that those who turned our country into an outpost of their islamic doctrine’s combat against Israel did not have the slightest intention of willingly giving up their hold over us...read it all

Rolf's Blasphemous Cartoon Time

Some time ago Michelle Malkin reported on a BBC "comedy" show called Time Trumpet which featured a sketch called the Terrorism Awards. The subject matter included a plane being flown into the Houses of Parliament, a Tel Aviv suicide bombing and the assassination of the Prime Minister. The BBC did not withdraw this tasteless skit claiming that "The clips have to be seen in the context of the whole series". Sure.

Well, when a comedy group called The Franz Kafka Big Band decided, on their radio show, to have a sketch featuring Rolf Harris drawing Mohammed (on a radio show) the BBC sprang into action and pulled the show-

The corporation said the programme's "bold" subject matter required some "fine-tuning" before it could go on air.

Which I'm assuming means "cuts will be made". Now, the makers of the program claim that they were hired by the BBC to be "bad boys"; and the Beeb obviously knew what they were getting; this is the group's second series.

Other sketches in the show include a discussion between Jesus and Peter at the Last Supper, in which Peter admits he is allergic to fish, and a musical number to the tune of Sammy Davis Jr's The Candy Man in which the group sings "Who can start a jihad? The Taliban can".

They also had some material on the Palestinian situation, but the story doesn't go any further than that.

So there we have it- the BBC is more than happy for a major television comedy to show to create a sketch on Terrorism Awards but when a radio show creates a sketch about drawing Mohammed; well, that's not on, is it? I guess there are still some people that the Beeb don't want to offend.

Israel may go it alone against Iran

Israel is carefully watching the world's reaction to Iran's continued refusal to suspend uranium enrichment, with some high-level officials arguing it is now clear that when it comes to stopping Iran, Israel "may have to go it alone," The Jerusalem Post has learned.

One senior source said on Tuesday that Iran "flipped the world the bird" by not responding positively to the Western incentive plan to stop uranium enrichment. He expressed frustration that the Russians and Chinese were already saying that Iran's offer of a "new formula" and willingness to enter "serious negotiations" was an opening to keep on talking.

"The Iranians know the world will do nothing," he said. "This is similar to the world's attempts to appease Hitler in the 1930s - they are trying to feed the beast."

He said there was a need to understand that "when push comes to shove," Israel would have to be prepared to "slow down" the Iranian nuclear threat by itself.

Why does the left identity with Islamic fascists?

A feminist wakes up to the fact the Hezbollah isn’t a feminist’s best friend. Sarah Baxter writes:

As a supporter of the peace movement in the 1980s, I could never have imagined that many of the same crowd I hung out with then would today be standing shoulder-to-shoulder with militantly anti-feminist Islamic fundamentalist groups …

Hassan Nasrallah, … regularly issues bloodcurdling threats against the Jews. “If they (the Jews all gather in Israel,” he has said, “it will save us the trouble of going after them on a worldwide basis.” For some on the left such words are merely understandable hyperbole, provoked by decades of Israeli ill-treatment of the Palestinians, but I prefer to take Islamic fundamentalists at their word …

Why? Because they not only talk centuries-old nonsense about the place of women in society, but they also purposely oppress the female sex whenever they are given the chance. As regards their treatment of women, there is no discernible difference between their acts and their words.

What has happened to feminists who criticize Islam? Phyllis Chesler has found it impossible to be published in the left-wing publications as they “in effect excommunicated her.” Julie Burchill and Melanie Phillips suffered a similar fate.

Andrea Dworkin died last year virtually unmourned by women on the left in part, as her friend Christopher Hitchens remembered, because “she wasn’t neutral against a jihadist threat that wanted, and wants, to enslave and torture females. That she could be denounced as a ‘conservative’,” he concluded, “says much about the left to which she used to belong.” …

The left has decided that No-Nukes was only for the West:

Recently Kate Hudson, chairwoman of the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament, wrote a breathtaking apologia for the Iranian nuclear energy programme, … Since when, by the way, has CND regarded Britain’s nuclear power plants so benignly?

The author sums it up:

The Middle East is engaged in a titanic struggle between modernity and theocracy. Whatever one’s views about the Iraq war or the conflict in Lebanon, it deserves more than slogans about “We are all Hezbollah now” and fury against Bush and Blair. I don’t agree with Chesler that we are witnessing the death of feminism, but for now it is MIA: missing in action.

Filthy and Impure

Not surprising:

Authorities in the Saudi city of Mecca have banned the sale of pet cats and dogs at the request of religious police, the Arab News reported Thursday.

The Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice made the request after many young Saudis had gone outdoors with their pet dogs thus violating the kingdom's culture and traditions.

Link via Western Resistance.

Click here to read what an imam has to say. My take:

I didn't see a single dog in over ten years of my sad life in Saudi Arabia. There, I only heard a dog once and it sounded like someone was beating the poor thing.

You have no idea how utterly repulsed Muslims feel when they see Westerners petting a dog on a TV show. To them, a dog is a filthy and dirty creature. They don't get how anyone could lower themselves to touch such a hideous thing. In my extended family in Pakistan, only one relative kept a dog. That dog was always chained and kept outside for protection. More than once in Pakistan, I've seen a group of kids throw rocks at a hapless street dog and heard the terrible cries of pain.

In "moderate" Turkey early this year: "Pro-islamic municipalities in Turkey are killing stray dogs, animal rights groups claim. Municipal workers are hunting, torturing and killing the animals by the hundreds, the campaigners say."

Who are the Palestinians?

Today, there are many people around the world who wonder who the Palestinians actually are. People who belong to the ‘dark’ Muslim world are certain that Palestinians are actually a ‘nation’ and that the Holy Land belongs to them. People in the west who’ve leaned towards the left just shut their eyes and follow the Muslims like a well-trained pet.

I found an article on the internet that concisely informs us about the history of the ‘Holy Land’—here’s an excerpt:

There has never been a civilization or a nation referred to as ‘Palestine’ and the very notion of a ‘Palestinian Arab nation’ having ancient attachments to the Holy Land going back to time immemorial is one of the biggest hoaxes ever perpetrated upon the world! There is not, nor has there ever been, a distinct ‘Palestinian’ culture or language.

Storm Track Infiltration: The Nazi Model for Outcome-Based Education

From The Gathering Storm

The comparisons of today to the 1930s and Nazi Germany, and fascism to Islamists and Islamism – those who wish to conquer the world for Islam has been gathering steam over the last few months - especially when even Bush called our enemy Islamo-fascists.

But these reports miss one the most insidious tactics of infiltration and their use by the Islamist’s sidekicks - the Liberal Left.

There’s an interesting article written by Berit Kjos on The Nazi Model for Outcome-Based Education. Itbares an eerie resemblance to what is going on in our educational system today. The article concerns itself with the concept of national mastery learning and how it will create human puppets, not independent thinkers.

“That propaganda and indoctrination were two of the cornerstones of Nazi education is no secret. Hitler's goal was National Socialism, a fascist state that would subdue the world. Learning his lessons from Soviet revolutionaries, he knew that only cloaked promises and misleading visions could win the support of the unsuspecting masses -- and build a compliant army of young radicals.”

Now here’s the creepy part. Think about what the Left has done and what the liberal educational institutions and MSM have supported. Here they are.

Change the children first: "The Nazi leadership appreciated the difficulty of indoctrinating the older generation.... They were all the more determined to mold the new generation along Nazi lines. As the leader of the Nazi Teacher's League, Hans Schemm, put it: 'Those who have the youth on their side control the future.'" Create world-class citizen: "...create a new type of student..."

Condition students for the new social and economic order: "German youth must no longer... be confronted with the choice of whether it wishes to grow up in a spirit of materialism or idealism, of racism or internationalism, of religious or godlessness, but it must be consciously shaped according to principles which are recognized as correct...according to the principles of the ideology of National Socialism."

Restructure schools and nationalize tests and standards: "the regime endeavored to assert its control over the education system through reorganization and centralization..." Affective (feeling-centered, attitudinal), not cognitive, learning earns the graduation certificate. (Liberal feel – Conservatives think.)

Condition students to become social servants, not individuals--but tell the public the opposite: "'...the principal task of the school is the education of youth in the service of ... the State in the National Socialist spirit.' This made clear the Nazi's determination to shift the focus of education away from the needs of the individual and the development of his potential as a human being to the requirements of the community of nation and State, of which the individual was a member and to which he must subordinate himself."

Politically correct standards for right and wrong: "Munich professors [were warned]: 'From now on it is not up to you to decide whether or not something is true, but whether it is in the interest of the national Socialist Revolution." (Our current education system at work) Set affective, not cognitive, goals (outcomes): "The more enthusiastic they get, the easier are the exams and the sooner they will get a position .... The new generation has never had much use for education and reading. Now nothing is demanded of them; on the contrary, knowledge is publicly condemned." Forget facts. Teach "right" attitudes or "character" through feel-good experiences. in secondary schools, were alienated by the crudity of its indoctrination."

Create new beliefs and values through multicultural and global education: "New courses were introduced in such fields as racial studies, eugenics, and defense studies and there was a new emphasis on pre-history... Law and political science courses were adapted to fit in with the changes introduced by the regime."

New content: "...in addition to controlling and indoctrinating the teaching profession, reorganizing the education system and establishing new elite schools, the regime sought to influence youth through the content of what was taught in schools." "Relevance" and historical revision: "The course of history must not appear to our young people as a chronicle which strings events together indiscriminately, but, as in a play, only the important events, those which have a major impact on life, should be portrayed."

First indoctrinate teachers: "The real task of the NSLB is to create the new German educator in the spirit of National Socialism. It is being carried out with the same methods with which the movement has conquered the whole nation: indoctrination and propaganda." Certify compliant teachers. "The Nazi party... realized they could do little with the existing professors if they outwardly conformed. They concentrated, therefore, on trying to transform the profession by controlling entry and promotion within it through process of political indoctrination...."

Block the negative influence of parents and traditional culture: "...these boys join our organization at the age of ten...four years later, they move from the Jungvolk to Hitler Youth and there we keep them for another four years. And then we are even less prepared to give them back into the hands of those who create our class and status barriers..." Punish parents who protect their children from state indoctrination: "A legal guardian will be liable to a fine up to 150 RM or to imprisonment, if he deliberately contravenes the stipulation #9 of this decree (registration for Hitler Youth)." Vouchers and Christian schools: "Private schools and denominational schools gradually succumbed to various pressures: the loss of government subsidies or tax concessions...."

When I hear some person spout some incoherent drivel about how America is going down the tubes, I automatically think that he or she is a product of our public education system. We are incapable of fighting this war as long as we have a large number of “human puppets, not independent thinkers” that seem be produced by the Left who are more interested in fighting the war ‘correctly’ - or in the words of John Kerry ”fight a more sensitive war on terror” – then winning it.

The Allah Of The Quran

Abul Kasem wrote essays for Islam Watch about the Allah of the Quran. Who is Allah? What are his 'trademarks'? What are his characteristics? What pleases him? Where did Allah originate from?

All in all, the essays got published throughout the last couple of months. For those who want to know more about the nature of Allah, and thus to understand the Islam-religion better (as to be able to give clear examples of certain calls for aggression, etc.), all the essays are must reads. It will take you a long time to read them all, but, you can do as I did: print them and read them when convenient.

Part one can be found here.

The part that got published today can be found here.

From part 3d:

Allah loves to terrorize infidels

We should not be surprised at Allah’s absolute love for the Islamist terrorists and plunderers. The contemporary history confirms what many historians and critics of Islam had been writing for many years. Most of the world ignored the truth—blaming those writers as Islamphobes at best and Islam bashers at worst. But look, what a strange twist of events. The occurrences of 9/11, 7/7, Madrid, Islamist hostage takings, Islamic beheadings…all these incidents just point a single truth—that those writers had been correct all along. During the last four years, after the Islamist terrorists’ perpetration of mayhem all around the globe, many articles have been composed, mostly in the Internet, to tell with firm conviction that if ever Allah liked a single act most dearly it is the act of Islamic terror, suicide bombings and the killing of innocent citizens (see Islamic beheading here and other Islamic barbarism here). Here are three verses from the Qur’an which unashamedly promise great booty for participating in Islamic terrorism.

Allah casts terror in the hearts of unbelievers; they will reside in hell...3:151

Go forth to fight alone or in parties all together (Islamist terrorists in Bangladesh, like Jamiatul Mujahidin use this verse to justify their terror actions)...4:71

Strike terror in the hearts of the unbelievers; smite the unbelievers at their necks (i.e. behead the non-Muslims) and cut off their fingers...8:12

Allah loves to see His believers (Muslims) fall ill and suffer torment, except when the Muslims kill non-Muslims

Earlier, we noted that Allah loves to frighten and torment the believers. One of the methods by which Allah inflicts torment to the believers is through disease, ill health, poor nutrition and what not. Have a look at the television programs depicting hungry, malnourished, skeletal, diseased children and adults. In almost all cases they will be from such Islamic Paradises as: Mali, Mauritania, Sudan, Nigeria, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Afghanistan—virtually all the Muslim or Muslim- majority countries save a few oil-reach Arab nations. We should not be surprised at this. Please read the following ahadith where Allah glorifies disease, murrains, pestilence, malnutrition, draught and poverty. These scourges of humanity are Allah’s blessings on His ardent believers.

Allah may test believers by afflicting them with leprosy, baldness and blindness… (Sahih Muslim, 42.7071)

Let us read another lengthy hadith from Sunaan Abu Dawud:

Allah likes illness; He expiates sins through illness (Sunaan Abu Dawud, 2.20.2083).

Commenting on this hadith, the translator of Sunaan Abu Dawud admits that Allah does, indeed like illness and disease. Let us read his comment.

Allah is so kind to Muslims that He remits their sins by their illness. The Prophet (may peace be upon him) has pointed out that a Muslim should bear illness cheerfully. It serves as atonement for his sins (Hasan, 2001, vol. ii,
p. 879, foot note 2557).

We may be surprised that Allah has a condition by which He might let a Muslim recover from His affliction of illness. The requirement is that the recovered person should go and kill non-Muslims. We might find this impossible to believe. But here it is, in writing. Let us read this hadith from Sunaan Abu Dawud.

Book 20, Number 3101:

Narrated Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-'As:

The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: When a man comes to visit a sick person, he should say: O Allah, cure Thy servant, who may then wreak havoc on an enemy for Thy sake, or walk at a funeral for Thy sake.

As usual, the translator of Sunaan Abu Dawud, in a foot note completely agrees with Allah, that one should pray for a Muslim to recover from illness so that he is ready to destroy non-Muslims (Ibid, p.884, foot note 2571).

Allah loves to behead and burn people

Allah’s method of killing people is either by burning or by beheading. This should not surprise us as we watch in television how Allah’s minions are beheading hostages in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Muhammad ordered to kill someone and not to burn him because only Allah punishes with fire… (Sahih Bukhari, 4.52.259)

Volume 4, Book 52, Number 259: Narrated Abu Huraira:

Allah's Apostle sent us in a mission (i.e. an army-unit) and said, "If you find so-and-so and so-and-so, burn both of them with fire." When we intended to depart, Allah's Apostle said, "I have ordered you to burn so-and-so and so-and-so, and it is none but Allah Who punishes with fire, so, if you find them, kill them."

Even Baladhuri confirms that Allah likes beheading. And as the head is severed from the neck, a good Muslim should shout ‘Allahu Akbar’. Allah loves those Muslims who behead infidels in this manner.

Allah likes beheading—Kais cut off the head of al-Aswad and shouted ‘Allah is great’ (Baladhuri, 2002, p. 161]

Allah loves to kill apostates; He is scared of them

Seize and slay the renegades (i.e., apostates) wherever you find them (death for the apostates as per Baydawi; ref. Leaving Islam, p. 17, as per the translator of Noble Qur’an kill those who reject Islam after accepting it)...4:89

If the enemies violate their oaths (i.e., if they apostatize or do not accept Islam) and taunt the faith then fight them (i.e., death for the apostates as per Maudoodi; ref. Leaving Islam, p. 18)...9:12

Covenant with Allah must be honoured; deserters (apostates) cannot escape death or being killed (death for the apostates)...33:15-16

Allah curses the hypocrites, diseased hearts; they are not able to stay as Muhammad's neighbour; wherever they are found they will be seized and slain mercilessly (i.e., kill the apostates and the hypocrites) …33:60-61

There is a terrible penalty for those who dispute about Allah after accepting Islam (apostates)...42:16

And here are a few ahadith on how apostasy against Islam was treated during Muhammad’s time.

Muhammad ordered to kill the apostates; if somebody (a Muslim) discards his religion, kill him’) …4.52.260

Volume 4, Book 52, Number 260:

Narrated Ikrima:

Ali burnt some people and this news reached Ibn 'Abbas, who said, "Had I been in his place I would not have burnt them, as the Prophet said, 'Don't punish (anybody) with Allah's Punishment.' No doubt, I would have killed them, for the Prophet said, 'If somebody (a Muslim) discards his religion, kill him.' "

Khalid killed some apostates and ordered those taken as captives to be killed too... (Sahih Bukhari, 5.59.628).

Volume 5, Book 59, Number 628:

Narrated Salim's father:

The Prophet sent Khalid bin Al-Walid to the tribe of Jadhima and Khalid invited them to Islam but they could not express themselves by saying, "Aslamna (i.e. we have embraced Islam)," but they started saying "Saba'na! Saba'na (i.e. we have come out of one religion to another)." Khalid kept on killing (some of) them and taking (some of) them as captives and gave every one of us his Captive. When there came the day then Khalid ordered that each man (i.e. Muslim soldier) should kill his captive, I said, "By Allah, I will not kill my captive, and none of my companions will kill his captive." When we reached the Prophet, we mentioned to him the whole story. On that, the Prophet raised both his hands and said twice, "O Allah! I am free from what Khalid has done."

An apostate was killed for no reason (long hadith, click to read)... (Sahih Bukhari, 5.59.630).

M'uadh would not sit down until the apostate was killed (long hadith, click the link)... (Sahih Bukhari, 9.84.58)

Whoever changed his Islamic religion must be killed... (Sahih Bukhari, 9.84.57)

Volume 9, Book 84, Number 57:

Narrated 'Ikrima:

Some Zanadiqa (atheists) were brought to 'Ali and he burnt them. The news of this event, reached Ibn 'Abbas who said, "If I had been in his place, I would not have burnt them, as Allah's Apostle forbade it, saying, 'Do not punish anybody with Allah's punishment (fire).' I would have killed them according to the statement of Allah's Apostle, 'Whoever changed his Islamic religion, then kill him.'"

Storm Track Disinformation: Why the War Will Last 50 Years – Part 3

From The Gathering Storm

Every authoritarian society knows that to solidify control of the future you need to indoctrinate the next generation of children. The Islamists know this all too well. Most examples of this Islamist indoctrination of children has been scattered across the web at different sites.

But lately, the new media sites that allow uploading and categorizing of clips have developed over the last several months. YouTube is a good example and now MEMRI TV has a new category focused on Arab media’s indoctrination of Arab Muslim children to a life of hatred and violence.

Here are some samples.

Canadian Prime Minister compares hezbollah to nazis

A liberal member of parliament who tried to legitimize hezbollah during a recent trip to Lebanon, has ignited a political firestorm this week in Canada.
Delightfully, the latest broadside from Conservative Prime Minister Stephen Harper leaves precious little moral wiggle room for pro-hezbollah sympathizers who may be sitting in Parliament:

Harper says comparison of Hezbollah, Nazis is fair
OTTAWA - Prime Minister Stephen Harper said Tuesday it's not unfair to liken Hezbollah to the Nazis, who once ruled Germany, because both stand for the destruction of the ''Jewish nation.''
In an interview with CanWest News Service, Harper was asked if the comparison [between hezbollah and the nazis] made earlier in the day by his parliamentary secretary Conservative MP Jason Kenney, was appropriate.
''Like all comparisons, it's true in some ways, and not in others,'' he said, ''but as near as I can tell, both Hezbollah and the Nazi party stand for the elimination of the Jewish nation. So I think that's pretty fundamental and, in that sense, I don't think it's unfair.
''I think those who associate themselves with Hezbollah in this country are operating beyond the pale, and they're frankly operating in defence of an organization that is an illegal criminal organization in this country," said Harper.

Here's the background for this story so far...:

We Can All Relax Now

The incident aboard the Northwest Airliners plane was "not terror-related."

AMSTERDAM, Netherlands - The interrogation of 12 men who were removed from a Northwest Airlines flight after they aroused the suspicions of air marshals and crew produced no evidence of terrorism, the Justice Ministry said Thursday.

Flight NW0042 to Bombay, India, returned to Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport on Wednesday escorted by Dutch fighter jets, and the 12 were questioned and arrested.

"So far there are no signs that this was a terrorist threat," said ministry spokeswoman Judith Sluiter.

She declined to say why the men remained under arrest, and the investigation was continuing.

Yeah, I'd love to know the answer to that question, especially since all they were, apparently, doing was playing with cell phones:

A U.S. government official said crew members and air marshals aboard the Northwest DC-10 bound for Bombay saw the passengers trying to use cell phones and passing them among themselves while the jet was taking off. He spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the subject.

"It was behavior that average passengers wouldn't do," the official said.

Indian authorities don't seem so sure a terror plot was not involved:

India's junior foreign minister, Anand Sharma, confirmed that Dutch authorities have provided a list of names to Indian officials, but gave no other details.

"I don't know how close we were, but my gut tells me these people wanted to hijack the airplane," passenger Nitin Patel of Boston told the Algemeen Dagblad newspaper. Patel sat behind the men in business class.

The mass-circulation De Telegraaf quoted passenger Sarat Menon as saying several of the men spoke Urdu, the language commonly spoken by Indian Muslims and in Pakistan.

The thing is, in my opinion, when our government officials put an umbrella of silence over an investigation in its early stages by telling us "the incident was determined to be not terror-related," they are simply giving us the message they are not willing to deal with reality.

Now, the next thing I am going to say is important, so anyone reading this who may work in Law Enforcement, Homeland Security, or any Intelligence Dept. had better listen up:

When you tell us you are not willing to deal with the reality of terrorism, you insure that we, the common citizens will move one step closer to taking the law into our own hands.

Stop the lying.

While we're on a short VACA, please ponder this..

Shouldn't our armed forces be larger?
What is the best way to achieve this?
Shouldn't we be talking about use of weapons like our Ohio Class Submarines OUT LOUD? The tactical and strategic effect of even TALKING about this seriously might be noticed in some places. Isn't a second term president (certainly after mid term elections) ideally placed poltically to do this?

Shouldn't we be talking out loud about the inevitable consequences of our allies in western europe's declining population and reproductive rates coupled with immigration of others?
Can you think of an american poltician ready to discuss any of these things?

What Matters

I got here via Muslihoon.

There is a small detail about Muslim Nobel Laureates that I think reinforces the points made by Bithead.

Abdus Salam, a Pakistani physicist, won the Nobel Prize in physics in 1979. He belonged to a tiny Muslim sect called the Ahmadiyya Movement. By Pakistani law, he's not a Muslim. Wikipedia:

Professor Salam was a devout muslim who belonged to the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. As such Salam is not officially recognized by the Pakistani government despite the fact that he is their country's first and only Nobel Laureate.

Think about that. A titanic achievement -- a Nobel Prize in physics -- couldn't overcome the sheer bigotry of the Pakistani society.

It's worse in Saudi Arabia. Try bringing a Jewish-authored book in the Kingdom and the customs officials will confiscate it. Names like Einstein, Feynman, and Friedman are banned in the heart of Islam.

The Muslim world would be better off if it were to emulate the Jews instead of trying to erase them.

Children Telling Ghost Stories Around The Campfire

Remember when you were a kid and you'd sit around a campfire with a group of people and tell stories, and someone would inevitably relate a story about the time a friend of a friend saw a light turn off and on by itself, or maybe a room suddenly became freezing cold. Yes, then another kid would chime in and tell of how after his grandma died, everyone could hear her walking through the house at night and bumping into things.

Before you knew it, it seemed everyone had a ghost story to tell, and before you knew it, you absolutely believed them all. There was something about sitting around a campfire with the outer darness ringing you, and the repetition of the stories. You just knew that any second a ghost was going to leap into your midst.

Watch now and see the same dynamic at play in the Islamic community of Germany. Substitute anger at Western Civilization for the campfire, and subsitute Islam for the ring of darness:

This just in: The Lebanese men suspected of having deposited bombs on German trains last month were hired hands — in the employ of the German government itself.

That, at least, is what one 27-year-old from Saudi Arabia believes. “It’s all a Protestant crusade,” the man explains. “All of northern Germany is Protestant, isn’t it? And so is President Bush.” Then the man launches into a melange of confusing arguments and historical facts. The bubonic plague, Martin Luther and former German Chancellor Helmut Kohl all make a cameo. It’s all connected somehow, the man is sure of it.

The young Saudi Arabian’s views may make little sense from a Western point of view, but you can meet him and talk to him at a street corner in the middle of Hamburg, right by the central station. Foreigners from all over the world live in this neighborhood, called St. Georg, and a large number of them are Muslim. Several mosques have been built in the neighborhood. Many nearby stores carry no alcohol — but they do have electronic memory aides for Koran students on offer.

And then there are the conspiracy theories. They are everywhere — dozens of them — including some to explain away Germany’s recent terror scare. The others — some mutually contradictory — have pat explanations for what’s really going on in the world.

The Saudi Arabian’s crusade theory is being hotly debated on Steindamm, one of the main streets in the neighborhood. “It’s not about religion, it’s about money,” says an Algerian wearing a Lacoste shirt. A man from Tunisia immediately agrees and asks, “Why else have German soldiers been sent to Congo?”

In their struggle for money and oil, Western states will use whatever means they can, according to the theory. That the USA knew about the September 11, 2001 attacks before they happened but chose not to prevent them is a widespread view. “We think the United States needed those attacks so they could start the Iraq war,” explains Mahran Abdulwahab, a Lebanese graphic designer with a Hamburg accent.

Asked what they think of the suspects arrested for the foiled train attacks, many respond with remarks like: “They’re crazy.” Few have more to say. Abdulwahab also thinks such attacks are sheer madness. “It only harms people like us who live here,” he says.

But even he — whose views are quite moderate and who even had a Jewish girlfriend once — can’t help claiming you’ll never get the whole truth from the Western media because “their reporting is just too pro-Jewish.” Many such anti-Semitic remarks — and worse — can be heard around Hamburg’s central station.

Or on television. Just a few days ago, a 17-year-old Kurd from Bonn espoused the following theory on SPIEGEL TV: “What happened first,” he said, talking about the recent conflict in Lebanon, “was that the Jews raped a child, or something like that.” Later he claimed to have learned from a credible source that Jews once systematically shot six-year-olds in a kindergarten. “They let the teacher live so she would become mentally ill,” the young man said.

Dutch arrest 12 on US plane bound for India

Something must have been going on in this case:

AMSTERDAM (Reuters) - Dutch police arrested 12 passengers on a U.S. Northwest Airlines plane bound for India which was forced to turn back to Amsterdam's Schiphol airport on Wednesday, news agency ANP reported.

ANP said a police spokesman said 12 were arrested, but declined to give further details due to the ongoing investigation. Dutch police were not immediately available to comment on the report.

The Dutch defense ministry said earlier the pilot decided to turn back after the crew said several of the 149 passengers on flight 42 to Mumbai were behaving suspiciously.

"Police took off a number of people on board and took them for questioning," the Dutch defense ministry said.

Storm Track Infiltration: Jihadist Inroads in the UK and A Miss Martyr Camp at the Y

From The Gathering Storm

UK parks are being used to train jihadists, UK Muslim clerics command secret militias, and the YMCA hosts radical speakers at a ‘Miss Martyr’ camp in the USA.

First – the UK.

“Popular national parks in England and Wales are being used by suspected terrorists in Britain to carry out training exercises, a media report said today. A total of 20 men belonging to various groups, some of them with known terrorist links, are being monitored by the anti-terrorist branch of London's metropolitan police after this trend came to light, the Guardian newspaper reported, quoting unnamed security sources. "Police believe they have clear evidence that the men were preparing for a mission of some sort," the newspaper quoted the sources as saying.”
And this too.
“Now that radical imam Abu Hamza is a convicted felon and probably will be extradited and face terror charges in the United States, clerics from other mosques are finally coming forward to tell the world how Hamza sent teams of young supporters -- his own private militia -- in Britain with orders to takeover other mosques. Several clerics told stories of being threatened by gangs claiming to be members of Abu Hamza’s Supporters of Sharia group. Some of the clerics were beaten inside their own mosques, and worshippers were bullied into finding new places to pray -- and the police refused to intervene, they claim. One police official, under condition of anonymity, said that law enforcement executives in Britain were overly cautious about their interaction with Muslim leaders and their mosques. He claims that several radical Islamic clerics possess their own private militias -- fully armed and operating in total secrecy.”
Meanwhile, back in the US of A - Miss Martyr Camp at the Y.

YMCA stands for Young Men's Christian Association. That being the case, why would the athletic group allow an anti-Christian young Muslim girl's organization to use their facilities for a jihad camp? On the heels of their counterpart Young Muslims brotherhood's secret camp, the Young Muslims Sisters (YMS) will be holding their own camp, today, August 18th through the 20th, at the most unlikely of places – Port Murray, New Jersey's YMCA Camp Bernie. While the destination may be different, and the attire might have changed, the speakers at the event will be just as radical.

Those speakers included Imam Siraj Wahhaj, the Imam of the Masjid At-Taqwa mosque in Brooklyn and a listed potential co-conspirator to the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center, Sheikh Ibrahim Negm, the Director of ICA's Islamic Learning Foundation, and Dr. Obeydullah Choudry, the former President of the Muslim Students Association (MSA) at Rutgers University and one of the founders of Young Muslims.

Here’s what the young impressible Muslim girls heard.

Imam Siraj Wahhaj has said about the stoning of women accused of adultery, "If Allah says stone them to death, through the Prophet Muhammad, then you stone them to death, because it's the obedience of Allah and his messenger -- nothing personal."

In his speech, entitled ‘The Passion of the Youth,' which is found on the Young Muslims website, Sheikh Ibrahim Negm indoctrinated his audience with an ultimatum, by repeating the bigoted statement, "With Islam youth are going to be something, but without Islam they are going to be nothing."

Dr. Obeydullah Choudry tried to put a good face on the term "jihad" (holy war), when in his review of the book ‘Jihad in Islam,' he stated, "The disbelievers were fought by the Muslims not for their disbelief but because they showed belligerence or hostility to the Islamic state," and jihad "may be offensive, with Muslims taking the lead in averting the enemy's conspiracies and impending plots."

Some of the other YMS invited speakers have expertise in teaching the concept of death to easily influenced young minds. One of them, Br. Nouman Ali Khan, a former MSA representative, gave a February 2005 speech sponsored by the MSA of Hofstra, entitled ‘Preparation for Death.' Some of the other YMS invited speakers have expertise in teaching the concept of death to easily influenced young minds. One of them, Br. Nouman Ali Khan, a former MSA representative, gave a February 2005 speech sponsored by the MSA of Hofstra, entitled ‘Preparation for Death.'

“Another, Sr. Iman Badawi gave a speech at a June 2003 camp sponsored by the Muslim American Society (MAS) of Minnesota, entitled ‘The Life in the Grave.' One of her former campers had this to say about her, "…Iman Badawi and her wonderful style of talking about our deen [religion] always made our camps something else. Sitting outside in the night while listening to one of her talks on death is something to remember…"

I bet it was.

“Recently, the YMCA branch office in the West Bank was firebombed. One of the reports quotes Deputy Mayor and Hamas member, Hashem al Masri, as stating, "I know it is not civilized to attack it, but it is a challenge to the feeling of our people." How ironic that one YMCA is being attacked by Islamic militants, while another is opening its arms to them.”

How ironic indeed.
