Storm Track Disinformation: The Quote of the Decade

From The Gathering Storm

I’ve found that when having debates with my liberal friends, many if not all of their priority issues come down to money. Corporations are making too much money and don’t pay enough taxes. Rich people are getting their taxes cut. The budget is out of control. Medical insurance costs too much and should be free. We’re not spending enough on poverty, etc. etc.

But when it comes to the real threat to our freedom, they seem to miss the boat. Case in point. This quote from Larry C. Johnson, former State Department counterterrorism specialist in a article from the New York Times (note the date of the article at the end of the quote)

"Finally, there are bureaucracies in the military and in intelligence agencies that are desperate to find an enemy to justify budget growth (there’s that manic compulsion over money again). In the 1980's, when international terrorism was at its zenith, NATO and the United States European Command pooh-poohed the notion of preparing to fight terrorists. They were too busy preparing to fight the Soviets. With the evil empire gone, they ‘discovered' terrorism as an important priority. … terrorism is not the biggest security challenge confronting the United States, and it should not be portrayed that way." (The Declining Terrorist Threat, The New York Times, July 10, 2001)

Ooops! I wonder if Johnson changed his tune a couple of months later.

So the next time a liberal complains about our misplaced priorities and how the war is illegal, and how the Republicans are using it as an excuse to push their political agenda, etc, etc., remind them of this quote spoken by Abraham Lincoln 125 years ago.

"At what point shall we expect the approach of danger? By what means shall we fortify against it? Shall we expect some transatlantic military giant, to step the Ocean, and crush us at a blow? Never! All the armies of Europe, Asia and Africa combined, with all the treasure of the earth (our own excepted) in their military chest; with a Buonaparte for a commander, could not by force, take a drink from the Ohio, or make a track on the Blue Ridge, in a trial of a thousand years. At what point then is the approach of danger to be expected? I answer, if it ever reach us, it must spring up amongst us. It cannot come from abroad. If destruction be our lot, we must ourselves be its author and finisher."
(Address Before the Young Men's Lyceum of Springfield, Illinois, January 27, 1838)

Should could use a Lincoln now.

The PC Dike is Breached

Public opinion in the Netherlands has joined that of Germany in a refusal to accept the multicultural party line. Despite the state-sanctioned politically correct ideology about Islam, despite the notorious dhimmitude of their leaders, despite the message saturating the media that Islamophobia, and not Islam, is the big worry — despite all that, the Dutch aren’t buying.

According to The Jerusalem Post, a public opinion poll has revealed the Dutch public to be positively paleolithic in its ideas regarding Islam:

The poll conducted by Dutch research firm Motivaction for the GPD newspaper chain on June 2 found that 63 percent of those surveyed believed Islam was incompatible with modern European life.

More than a quarter of respondents said Muslim immigrants were rude, lazy, intolerant and prone to criminal behavior. They said the increase in Muslim immigration has had a negative effect on civic and social life, with almost 80 percent saying relations between Muslims and non-Muslims had become strained.

If the Dutch poll was anything like those on this side of the Atlantic, the questions were undoubtedly phrased in a way designed to elicit the “correct” answers. Even so, the opinion makers were not able to cook up the desired results.

And now some members of the government are deviating from orthodoxy:

According to the justice and interior ministers, the threat of terrorism from radical Islam is “substantial.”

The ministers told parliament that a “rapid spread of the Jihadistic ideology” was underway, with a number of moderate mosques passing under the control of Islamist ideologues.

“Radical movements, like Salafism, are currently gaining influence rapidly, both on the Internet and in more and more mosques. They prefer to use the Dutch language so that more and more young Muslims are reached, with all possible radicalization risks as a result,” the ministers said.

The next event to watch out for is the release of Ayaan Hirsi Ali’s new movie, Submission 2, which highlights the intolerance and repression of homosexuals under Islam. Don’t expect the event to pass unnoticed by the radical imams, who will view it as another opportunity like the Danish Mohammed cartoon crisis. Expect the “Muslim street” to be offended. Expect the honor of Islam to be impugned. Expect demands for an apology from the Dutch government, and for more “outreach programs”.

The Islamists tasted blood in the water after Europe went into full dhimmi mode over the Motoons. Watch for the jihad sharks to start circling again for this one.

Somewhere in Europe right now, warehouses are being stocked with large quantities of Dutch flags and butane lighters, with instructions for their use printed in Urdu, Arabic, and Turkish…

Babe/Hunk of the Week

I guess I was a bit slow on this, but I've been a little busy this week.

I saw the Phoebe Cates Babe of the Week, and the Star Wars Hunk of the Week, so I
had to post the Fu2rman All-Time Babe.

In case you're curious, check it out.

You may or

Life, Love, Liberty and Pluralism - Clarity & Resolve

Patrick Kafir is the team leader of Clarity & Resolve. A site with a fun and straight to the point approach. C & R has a lot to offer: beautiful writing, original images and insightful commentaries on the war launched by Islamo-fascism againts freedom.

He has kindly agreed to answer a few questions on blogging, religions, politics, terror, the media...

from this interview at Pro-Freedom Artists.

[...15- We can certainly understand that many Europeans are still traumatized from the horrors of WWI and WWII. Before these terribly conflicts, so costly in treasure and human life, they went through centuries of the religious wars. Do you see a relationship between their past and what appears to be a real reluctance to face the threat of Islam both from within and from outside their own societies?

European leaders made some egregiously foolhardy decisions in the seventies which have resulted in a large, prolific, and hostile Muslim citizenry today. I think that's where the reluctance to confront jihad and dawa (the non-military, missionary spread of Islam) come from. Europe has a very big problem now, and I don't know if it's reversible.
[The Multicultural Misery]

16- The left has always viewed and prided itself as the real defender of human rights. Yet in the current context, they are vigorously opposed to almost any forceful action designed to put an end to dictatorships. How is it that the left excuses these dictators, who are the worst offenders of the very human rights the left purports to defend? How you explain this?

Something malicious and tragic happened to the left while no one was paying attention. There's a new left that, through naivete or design, has forgotten what the word liberal means and how it relates to liberty and individual rights - to freedom of conscience. This departure from classical liberal values is very similar to Islam, fascism, and communism. I guess that a surfeit of freedom and rights breeds a particular form of collective idiocy that, sadly, ends up getting people killed and supporting the most vile acts and actors.
[Genocide Intervention Fund]

I'd like to say that it's only the fringe of the left that hates Israel, hates America, and loves Castro and Hamas. You know, the same way that only the fringe of the right supports the KKK or David Duke. I don't know if that's true, though. It seems that an increasingly large contingent of the center left are allowing themselves to be pulled down by the lunatics who are clamoring to offer up the West's neck to Islamofascism.
[Hamas: Mass Murder of Civilians OK]

These people are the new useful idiots, and this time they're furthering the agenda of jihad as well as communism. Ironically, they themselves would go under the sword or the burden of jizya if the Religion of Peace was somehow able to vanquish those of us who unabashedly defend the West and Western values. Also ironically, we defend these idiots from their own idiocy. Maybe that's one of God's little jokes!

17- Recently in the United States, some retired Generals were critical of the Sec of Defence for his handling of the Iraq War. The strong left lobby and the powerful news media (MSM - NYT) locked on to this issue, fanning the flames in a major offensive to get rid of Donald Rumsfeld. In effect, an effort by them to decapitate the civil leadership of the US military. As a Democrat, what do think of this?

I think it's case study #whatever of a leftist bias in big media. It may be part of what we will later realize was big media's last gasp. Blogs are here now, and people are tired of being insulted by a rank partisan, disdainful media elite.

But yeah, these people hate George W. Bush with a passion that I've seldom seen equaled. They'll sink to any level if they think it'll hurt Bush. Sadly, it just hurts our ability to effectively address and combat the forces that threaten us. It's really a shame because it fosters an environment of petty divisiveness at a time when America - and the world - need unity more than ever.

I think that is probably one course of action that is being pursued right now. We certainly know who to contact inside Iran and we certainly have C.I.A. and special ops guys on the ground as well. I don't think that there will be any way to avoid armed conflict when all is said and done, though. Ahmadinejad - or "Armageddonjihad," as I call him - wants holy war, he wants Israel destroyed, and he wants the Islamic rapture. Unfortunately, a disturbingly large number of influential voices are providing him with the cover of legitimacy.

I just hope that when we hit them, it will be fast, overwhelming, and decisive. Like any American, I'm sick of watching our guys die. As a human being, I'm sick of watching bloggers imprisoned and young girls and gay men being murdered by the despicable mullahs in Iran...]

And they keep saying Ann Coulter went too far

As the ethical arbiters of our time, while busy selling advertising space, Lichtblau, Keller and the NYT have heaped piles of obloquy over themselves yet again.

Apparently they believe there is something WRONG with the feds tracking money transfers electronically, looking for patterns which may tip them off.

However, they have instead highlighted again, a constitutional issue in which they have arrogated to themselves the right to reveal state secrets.

And the surprise....

Enemy Mine: Give Me That Ol’ Time Religion

From The Gathering Storm

What makes Islam tick? And what can we learn about it that will help us understand those that adhere to it and learn more about the threat it poses to the civilized world. Muslims claim that Islam is the world’s fastest growing religion. If true; why? What attracts so many converts from around the world to this belief system?

The answer can be found in two concepts: Decidophobia and a thirst for a Path to God.

In a conversation about Islam with a colleague of mine recently, he said that his brother-in-law recently converted to Islam. But this was not a normal conversion. For his brother-in-law, up to that time, was an atheist. He wondered about such drastic change from one extreme to the other and I said it was most probably due to Decidophobia and the hollowness in his sprit that had little to believe in except humanistic secularism.

Decidophobia is the morbid dread of making fateful decisions – an ostrich like defense that drives people to seek refuge from decisions in a religious or ideological conformity. The term was created by Walter Kaufman in his book ‘Without Guilt and Justice”. Most of the book is about living the autonomous life based on the philosophy of Nietzsche. But the very first chapter explains the concept of Decidophobia.

The objective of the Decidophobic is to make one major decision, and only one major decision, so that he does not have to make another major decision in his or her life ever again. One strategy is to join a religion or a movement. One that has a set of finely prescribed behaviors that circumscribe one’s actions and offers an earthly or heavenly reward for the true believer. If a person is adrift without personal bearings and can not function in a chaotic ethical and moral environment that is perceived to have no absolutes – much like we have today – he or she will seek a belief system that offers a safe haven in this storm of relativism.

Islam fills that void.

It is a strict religion that offers paradise and a sense of meaning in life to those who adhere to the simple pillars of its faith. Islam also presents to its followers a person whose life can be imitated and acts as a blue print to achieve the promise of paradise. But there is another form of ‘religion’ that is just as powerful and offers the reward of paradise here on earth. That is the belief in a strong secular ideology also led by a man to emulate – and even worship - and follow in his footsteps. Examples of these ideologies are Nazism with Hitler and Maoism with Mao Zedong.

Both of these belief systems are the answer to one suffering with Decidophobia. There is even an instruction manual for the Decidophobic that relieves him or her of any future personal decisions. The beliefs revealed and the instructions are clear in their ‘bibles’. Mein Kampf, Mao’s Little Red Book, and the Koran. These belief systems are now the Decidophobic’s community, their country that they dwell within surrounded by fellow citizens of their little nation.

And the word nation is not used lightly here.

Take Islam. The nation of Muslims is the nation of Islam – or the Ummah. Ever wonder why the Islamists are so vehement about nationalism as practiced today? Quite simple. It runs counter to the concept of the nation of Islam. A true Muslim can not be a citizen of two nations at once. Mohammed condemned the concept of nationalism in any and all forms. The recent jihadist condemnation of the World Soccer Cup is a case in point.

“Claiming that soccer plants the seeds of nationalism, and is therefore part of a "colonial crusader scheme" to divide Muslims and cause them to stray from the vision of a unified Islamic identity, the Jihadist website told readers: "The sad fact of the matter is that many Muslims have fallen for this new religion and they too carry the national flag.”

This might seem silly to us but it fits nicely into their goal to stop Muslims from straying from their true nation, that of Islam. Which brings up the concept of the Path to God that dovetails perfectly with the Islamist view that the destruction of the secular world is the necessary first step in creating an Islamic utopia on earth.

Why are the Islamists so concerned with the secular view of the world? Yes, we say it’s because it promotes freedom and democracy and Islam can not coexist with it, etc. etc. But why? What are the religious grounds for this? That is to say, how can secularism be a threat to the Muslim’s path to God?

The Hindus have recognized for centuries four paths - or ways - to self-development and spiritual growth - the Way of Action, the Way of Love, the Way of Knowledge, and the Way of Mind Control or Meditation. Islam uses primarily the Way of Action. In the book entitled ‘The One Quest’ written by Claudio Naranjo, the two approaches to ‘right action’ are the one of discipline, duty, injunctions and restraint; and the other it’s direct opposite, the one of self-expression, self-trust, and unconstraint. In the latter case, freedom itself can lead to the goal of self-improvement of the spirit by providing the greatest opportunity for experience and choice.

Guess which ‘right action’ is the choice of Islam and why it’s current choice of the path to spiritual development will be extremely difficult to integrate into a world filled with the thirst for freedom? Yep – the approach of discipline, duty, injunctions and restraint – the direct opposite of what modern western style culture exhibits today.

Our modern day culture believes that self-improvement – at least in the physical realm - can only be achieved by the greatest opportunity for experience and personal choice, unrestricted by any discipline, duty, injunction or restraint. Taken to extremes, one approach leads to the restriction of everything, the other, the permissiveness of everything.

Clash of civilizations? You bet. Clash of paths to self-improvement? You bet.

The outlook is not good for any kind of integration of the two ‘approaches’. Take the way of action that demands discipline, duty, injunctions and restraint – that is, the removal of any and all physical world distractions (including the female body) and entities (nationalism) that would hinder the true believer’s goal of reaching paradise - and we have the Taliban. Allow freedom to disintegrate into license and we are left with the nihilism of Nietzsche.

One approach leads to a constipated, restricted, dead culture – Islam. The other to the chaos of relativism where moral equivalency, political correctness and multiculturalism prevent the perception of what’s right and what’s wrong. Neither extreme assists both the individual or society’s spirit reach its fullest potential.

Finally, both extreme belief systems, theocratic and secular, are two sides of the same coin. Islam sees religion and the state as one and the same. Their book of beliefs dictates how society should function. Secular extremism like Nazi Germany and Maoist China operated the same way. The leader’s belief and the function of the state were direct results of the ‘bibles’ of Mein Kampf and the Little Red Book.

We're Fucked: British Muslims Most Anti-Western, Most Anti-Semitic, Yet Most Loved by Host Nation

Public opinion in Britain is mostly favourable towards Muslims, but the feeling is not requited by British Muslims, who are among the most embittered in the western world, according to a global poll published yesterday.

The poll found that 63% of all Britons had a favourable opinion of Muslims, down slightly from 67% in 2004, suggesting last year's London bombings did not trigger a significant rise in prejudice. Attitudes in Britain were more positive than in the US, Germany and Spain (where the popularity of Muslims has plummeted to 29%), and about the same as in France.

Less than a third of British non-Muslims said they viewed Muslims as violent, significantly fewer than non-Muslims in Spain (60%), Germany (52%), the US (45%) and France (41%).

By contrast, the poll found that British Muslims represented a "notable exception" in Europe, with far more negative views of westerners than Islamic minorities elsewhere on the continent. A significant majority viewed western populations as selfish, arrogant, greedy and immoral. Just over half said westerners were violent. While the overwhelming majority of European Muslims said westerners were respectful of women, fewer than half British Muslims agreed. Another startling result found that only 32% of Muslims in Britain had a favourable opinion of Jews, compared with 71% of French Muslims.

The Pew poll found that British Muslims are far more likely than their European counterparts to harbour conspiracy theories about the September 11 attacks. Only 17% believed that Arabs were involved, compared with 48% in France.

Ironically from The Guardian, who happens to be one of the mouthpieces of this fifth column, regularly absolving British Muslims of any responsibility whatsoever, placing blame squarely on the West. They have also famously employed Islamic extremists as journalists.

British Muslims have the most negative view of Westerners perhaps in the whole of the Western world.

It's just embarassing that the majority of the British public can be so out of touch with what's actually going on, it really is.

Another auto-jihadist strikes in Long Island, New York

Yet another Muslim went the violent revenge route with a car (see here and here for earlier examples), this one in Long Island. From the New York Post:
June 20, 2006 -- A boozed-up rich kid tossed from a tony Long Island bar jumped behind the wheel of his Jaguar and sneered, "I'll kill you all," before plowing into a crowd of horrified bystanders, critically injuring two, police said yesterday.

"He just tore around the corner and came right at the crowd - bodies were flying everywhere," said Matthew Hurwitz, 22, of Glen Cove, who was clipped by the car in a coldblooded replay of an infamous rampage involving pedal-pushing publicist Lizzie Grubman. "It was like a movie, but the people didn't get up afterwards. There were people lying all over the place, laying in blood. It was awful."

The carnage erupted early Sunday morning outside the Soundview Bar at Glen Cove's town golf course, where soused suspect Sayed Khaled El-Waraky, 19, of posh Vienna, Va., had been rowdily celebrating a fellow wealthy frat brother's birthday, cops and witnesses said.

"He [El-Waraky] was acting really drunk . . . bumping into other people, being abrasive and causing trouble with the staff," said Glen Cove Detective Sgt. Thomas Fitzpatrick. Then "he pushed a girl, and that was enough."

Bouncer Sean Basdavanos, 22, hauled the troublemaker outside, followed by a crowd of people eager to see him booted, witnesses said.

As they got up to his black 2005 Jaguar S-Type - his high-school graduation gift - a brawl ensued, police said.

An incensed El-Waraky, a part-time student at American University in Washington, D.C., finally got behind the wheel of his flashy car with chrome wheels and started to head toward the exit as about three dozen people watched, cops said.

"Just when everyone thought it was over, the car came speeding [back] around the corner, the pedal to the floor, and he just mowed them all down," Fitzpatrick said.

The underage perp fled, his car windshield and hood bashed in. But he was nabbed a few minutes later.

El-Waraky, an Egyptian national, faces charges including depraved indifference for human life. He could land 25 years to life if convicted. He was being held without bail yesterday.

Hurwitz's buddy, Basdavanos, a former Glen Cove HS football star, was left critically wounded in the horror.

He was on a respirator at North Shore University Hospital, where his mom, Maureen, said he was "in pretty bad shape, but he's getting better."

Also critically hurt in the horror was Matthew Granger, 23, of Water Mill. He suffered multiple skull fractures, authorities said.

El-Waraky's lawyer, Ryan Brownyard, said his client had one prior arrest, for DWI, in 2003 in D.C. He claimed outside court that his client was a victim.

"My client sustained serious injuries after being attacked by a mob of people," Brownyard said.

El-Waraky's father, reached at a multimillion-dollar family home in Vienna, Va., said he had "no idea what happened."
The lawyer is a disgrace, by claiming his client is a "victim". The cretin, as you can see here, is certainly no pauper, but rather, a spoiled rich kid with plenty of money and a fancy Jaguar to boot. Likewise, his family is rich too, and we should hope that the prosecution will make sure that their money cannot obstruct justice.

What is important to the New York Times? And WHY?

In his memoirs in 1995, Genl. Giap, who headed North Vietnamese forces from just after the end of WW2 until his retirement in the 90's, the general wrote that the Tet offensive of 2/68 was so destructive to the North Vietnamese and Viet Cong forces, and it was such a complete shock that this could happen, that he planned to seek terms for conditional surrender.

Then he heard Walter Cronkite talk about Tet and Vietnam. This is the money line Cronkite delivered about this huge american victory.

To say that we are closer to victory today is to believe, in the face of the evidence, the optimists who have been wrong in the past. To suggest we are on the edge of defeat is to yield to unreasonable pessimism. To say that we are mired in stalemate seems the only realistic, yet unsatisfactory, conclusion. On the off chance that military and political analysts are right, in the next few months we must test the enemy's intentions, in case this is indeed his last big gasp before negotiations. But it is increasingly clear to this reporter that the only rational way out then will be to negotiate, not as victors, but as an honorable people who lived up to their pledge to defend democracy, and did the best they could.

Should private citizens, whose salaried job is ultimately selling commercial time, have the MEANS to change the course of history with so great a misjudgment of FACTS? (To my knowledge he has never acknowledged this error, or its effect on history and the USA)

And now the NY Times comes today ...

Peace forum coming to town

Questions remain over involvement of Jewish community.

The co-chair of the forthcoming World Peace Forum (WPF) in Vancouver believes the event will provide a balanced view of the Middle East conflict, one of the many topics under discussion when peace advocates from around the world gather in the city June 23-28.

The forum is organized through a central board, but topics for workshops have been decided via various working groups. In addition to working groups covering topics of particular interest to women, First Nations delegates and youth, as well as those addressing issues in Africa and Asia, there has been a Middle East working group. As of press time, its co-chair, Paul Tetrault, had not responded to requests from the Independent for more information on the Middle East-related workshops.

Though there has been concern in some quarters that the organized Jewish community would be underrepresented at the forum, WPF board co-chair Ruth Herman said, "I think there are going to be many people who are Jewish who are coming to the World Peace Forum. My understanding is that the program workshops that are being put on with respect to Israel do have people from both Palestine and Israel in them, so I'm not hugely concerened about the fact there will be no people representing a point of view from Israel - keeping in mind that there will be diverse points of view within Israel itself."

Vancouver's main organized Jewish community groups – Canadian Jewish Congress, Pacific Region, the Canada-Israel Committee, Pacific Region, and the Jewish Federation of Greater Vancouver – will not be participating in the WPF.

Michael Elterman, chair of CIC Pacific Region, said there was no communication between his organization and the Middle East working group until such time as he was informed the proposals had been rejected.

When asked if he felt there was any anti-Semitism at play, Elterman replied, "Well, it's anti-Semitism to the extent that [they] discriminate against one group and don't use the same treatment against all the other groups."

The acid trip has worn off, and I'm now back to the real reality. True, sorry to relate, the fascists will be out in force on Saturday. But too cool to pass up, we'll be there to protest 'em, man. Dig it!

Oh yeah, before I forget, "Peace, Man."

Banning The Burqa In Norway

Well, technically what they are banning is called the niqab, but it looks like a burqa, doesn't it?

Today, Aftenposten reports that the Directorate for Primary and Secondary Education has given permission for the nikab to be banned in schools. Teachers are said to believe that the nikab hinders communication. In the Netherlands, it was considered to be frightening for small children to have staff enveloped in face-covering items, such as the nikab or the burka.

Yeah, no kidding, huh? Can you image being a kid and having the mutant ninja teacher swirl up to you and tell you to do your homework. That'd be enough to start a lifetime of therapy.

... the issue of the hijab was itself causing conflict in schools, among Muslim girls. Muslim girls not wearing the headscarf are called whores or "loose" by their hijabbed fellow students. The decision by the education directorate will only outlaw the veil or nikab, and will not affect the wearing of the Muslim headscarf.

So, I guess that means the girls will still be called whores by their fellow students.

You can see Norway working here, can't ya? They don't want to violate the sacred scriptures of the Temple of Political Correctness, but at the same time, they want to deal with the oppression of the poor teenage girls.

But, when the wishes of an oppressed minority goes up against the needs of an oppressed woman in the sacred scriptures of the Temple of Political Correctness, the oppressed minority will always win.

Actually, there is also a second component in play here. It's called the Doctrine of Chickenshitness. Let's face it, they are afraid of the Muslims among them.

The veil, the burqa, the niqab, they are all the chains of modern day Islamic slavery. Cover the face and you take away the person. A person who can not express themselves is a dehumanized person. The veil is the first step to the obliteration of female free will.

These aren't clothes. They are portable concentration camps.

All Western countries ought to put an absolute ban on these abominations.

Why They Really Hate Us

On the heels of WC's post regarding the 1941 fatwa that was issued regarding the West's occupation of Iraq, I'm posting a link to a Smithsonian Magazine article that I found in February 2006 regarding Sayyid Qutb's awakening in regards to his hatred of the West, to further reinforce the point that this jihad is one that we had long before Bush II came to office. This was 1950's Greeley, Colorado, about as "mom, the flag, and apple pie" Norman Rockwell American as you can get.

Poet and journalist Sara Lippincott was an early visitor to the frontier outpost, and later wrote about it under her pen name, Grace Greenwood. “You’ll die of dullness in less than five hours,” another traveler had warned her about Greeley. “There is nothing there but irrigation. Your host will invite you out to see him irrigate his potato-patch...there is not a billiard-saloon in the whole camp, nor a drink of whiskey to be had for love or money.”

Yet this is the irrigated soil that developed his hatred of the West, and fed his decision to develop an ideology for the Muslim Brotherhood, and for terrorists ever since.

He seethed at the brutishness of the people around him: the way they salted their watermelon and drank their tea unsweetened and watered their lawns. He found the muscular football players appalling and despaired of finding a barber who could give a proper haircut. As for the music: “It (Jazz) is this music that the savage bushmen created to satisfy their primitive desires.”

No, in 1950, he couldn't seethe at support for Israel, American colonialism in the Middle East, oil, or any other straw man to put up. He hated us for us.

We're All Very, Very Sorry

Atlas ran this brilliant column today.

I'd like to tell the Arab world that I am very sorry:

For good and ill, the Iraqi prisoner abuse mess will remain an issue. On the one hand, right thinking Americans will abhor the stupidity of the actions while on the other hand, political glee will take control and fashion this minor event into some modern day massacre.

I humbly offer my opinion here:

I am sorry that the last seven times we Americans took up arms and sacrificed the blood of our youth, it was in the defense of Muslims (Bosnia, Kosovo, Gulf War 1, Kuwait, etc.).

I am sorry that no such call for an apology upon the extremists came after 9/11.

I am sorry that all of the murderers on 9/11 were Islamic Arabs.

I am sorry that most Arabs and Muslims have to live in squalor under savage dictatorships.

I am sorry that their leaders squander their wealth.

I am sorry that their governments breed hate for the US in their religious schools, mosques, and government-controlled media.

I am sorry that Yassar Arafat was kicked out of every Arab country and high-jacked the Palestinian "cause."

I am sorry that no other Arab country will take in or offer more than a token amount of financial help to those same Palestinians.

I am sorry that the U.S.A. has to step in and be the biggest f inancial supporter of poverty stricken Arabs while the insanely wealthy Arabs blame the USA for all their problems.

I am sorry that our own left wing, our media, and our own brainwashed masses do not understand any of this (from the misleading vocal elements of our society like radical professors, CNN and the NY TIMES).

I am sorry the United Nations scammed the poor people of Iraq out of the "food for oil" money so they could get rich while the common folk suffered .

I am sorry that some Arab governments pay the families of homicide bombers upon their death.

I am sorry that those same bombers are brainwashed think ing they will receive 72 virgins in "paradise."

I am sorry that the homicide bombers think pregnant women, babies, children, the elderly and other noncombatant civilians are legitimate targets.

I am sorry that our troops die to free more Arabs from the gang rape rooms and the filling of mass graves of dissidents of their own making.

I am sorry that Muslim extremists have killed more Arabs than any other group.

I am sorry that foreign trained terrorists are trying to seize control of Iraq and return it to a terrorist state.

I am sorry we don't drop a few dozen Daisy cutters on Fallujah.

I am sorry every time terrorists hide they find a convenient "Holy Site."

I am sorry they didn't apologize for driving a jet into the World Trade Center that collapsed and severely damaged Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church - one of our Holy Sites.

I am sorry they didn't apologize for flight 93 and 175, the USS Cole, the embassy bombings, the murders and beheadings of Nick Berg and Daniel Pearl, etc....etc!

I am sorry Michael Moore is American; he could feed a medium sized village in Africa.

America will get past this latest absurdity. We will punish those responsible because that is what we do.

We hang out our dirty laundry for the entire world to see. We move on. That's one o f the reasons we are hated so much. We don't hide this stuff like all those Arab countries that are now demanding an apology.

Deep down inside, when most Americans saw this reported in the news, we were like - so what? We lost hundreds and made fun of a few prisoners. Sure, it was wrong, sure, it dramatically hurts our cause, but until captured we were trying to kill these same prisoners. Now we're supposed to wring our hands because a few were humiliated?

Our compassion is tempered with the vivid memories of our own people killed, mutilated and burnt amongst a joyous crowd of celebrating Fallujahans.

If you want an apology from this American, you're going to have a long wait! You have a better chance of finding those seventy-two virgins.

Plot To Attack Sears Tower Thwarted

Seven people were arrested in an anti-terror probe in Miami:

MIAMI, Florida (CNN) -- Seven people were in custody Thursday night after and state and local officials conducted anti-terrorism raids in Miami, law enforcement sources told CNN.

The arrests were made in connection with the early stages of a plot to attack Chicago's Sears Tower and the FBI building in Miami, the sources told CNN.

Officials said no weapons or bomb-making materials had been found in the searches so far. The Miami area is under no imminent threat, according to the FBI.

Law enforcement sources told CNN the seven arrests were made in connection with "suspected domestic terrorist activity," and that documents related to the investigation have been sealed.
One of the arrests was made before Thursday, officials said.

The FBI said one search warrant was being executed in a warehouse near a housing project in Liberty City, a predominantly black and low-income area of Miami.

Allahpundit says that according to Fox News, the men were planning to "wage Jihad against the Infidels."

Moslem Art Critics

Islamist art critics are serious:

A religiously motivated attack on statues at a museum in Cairo has sparked outcry in Egypt and fuelled fears that the country is veering towards an Islamic state.

The attack on three artworks, by a black-clad and veiled woman screaming, "Infidels, infidels!" followed a fatwa issued by the Grand Mufti of Cairo, Ali Gomaa, which banned all decorative statues of living beings.

It led to furious criticism of the mufti from Egyptian liberals. In a televised debate with the mufti after the attack, one poet raged that "the prevalent religious discourse in the country encourages terror".

Although the ancient treasures of Egypt have been protected under Islam so far, an increasing extremism in the country could make statues such as the quartzite head of Nefertiti, the colossus of Amenhotep, and the golden death mask of Tutankhamen possible targets in future.

"The Islamisation of Egyptian society is happening from the bottom up, and now it has reached the middle classes - the doctors, the lawyers.

"Over the next few years political Islam will grow and grow," he added. "The duality between secular and religious is very dangerous and will lead to a very serious conflict in Egyptian society.

Next on the Fatwa hit parade?

The Power of Lies--the Bernama Brigade

Bernama is the official Malaysian Government "information service". The following story is taken verbatim from their website's line up...no commentary is necessary on this one. Read it and judge its merits, or lack thereof, for yourself:

American Media Asked To Dupe People, Destroy Islam, Says Expert

KUALA LUMPUR, June 13 (Bernama) — The American media is controlled by certain groups which plan to destroy the Islamic world, according to an American media expert.

Michael Collins Piper said a group of family and financial interests people in the United States were using the media to control government policies. “They will not be satisfied because Islam is the last religion standing in the way of the new world order,” he added.

Piper is the author of “The Final Judgment”, a book which provides evidence in support of the theory that former US President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in a combined Mossad/CIA operation.

He said all the major broadcasting networks, newspapers and magazines were controlled by tightly-networked families and financial interests people who had a global network and worked for the Bush administration.

Piper, who is also founder of the American Free Press website and The Barnes Review, said the war on terror was actually a war against Islam.

He said he wanted to be the “bridge-builder”, to show that not all Americans supported the Jewish-controlled Bush administration policy. He said the media in the US did not report true stories. For instance, the story of William Rodriguez, a former maintenance worker at the World Trade Centre in Manhattan, as it would open up a whole new perspective of the Sept 11 terror attack on the US in 2001.

During the press conference, Piper, a Puerto Rico-born, said the victims’ families were now forcing the government to conduct fresh investigations to find out the real truth of the tragedy.

On the fateful day, Piper said Rodriguez was talking to his supervisor when he heard a huge explosion from below the building believed to be from the mechanical room where pumps, generators and air-conditioners were located.

“It was so powerful that the walls fell on us. Then, suddenly within minutes, another bang on top of the tower, the one where the plane crashed into the WTC, but it sounded totally different. “Two separate events, one at the basement and one on the top. I’ve been working there for 20 years, I know the difference between what comes from the bottom and the top,” he had said.

He said the two explosions showed there was an initiated plan to create what he believed a tragedy that was synchronised.

“I believe they had a plan to bring the building down at the same time the plane crashed into the tower. They wanted to weaken the base for that to happen.”

In the incident, Rodriguez, who had the master key to the North Tower staircases, unlocked the doors and led fire-fighters up the stairwell, aiding in the evacuation of hundreds of people who might have otherwise perished.

Storm Track Disinformation: UK Muslim Fundamentalists to Hold Conference and A Liberal Chimes In

From The Gathering Storm

On the first anniversary of the 7 July attacks in London (Four suicide bombers blew themselves up on three underground trains and a public bus on 7 July 2005, killing 52 people and injuring hundreds), Islamists in Britain will hold a seminar in Birmingham followed by a press conference in the capital on Monday 3 July.

"Al Ghurabba, led by the controversial preacher Omar Bakri Mohammed, organizes the conference. He left London after the attacks to Beirut and has been forbidden from returning to Britain. Al-Ghurabba openly calls for Jihad in Britain and Europe and follows the same Salafi-Jihadi ideology as Al-Qaida. Anjam Choudry, a British lawyer and the secretary-general of the fundamentalist al Ghurabba movement, said the conference would discuss ways to prevent a repetition of the attacks and the reasons behind them."

Hmmm. A radical Islamist fundamentalist group holding a conference to PREVENT jihadist attacks? Let’s learn more.

“Abu Izzadin, an Islamist activist and member of al Ghurabba, is scheduled to speak at the conference. He is a regular attendee of fundamentalist conferences and meetings and is one of Bakri’s most prominent students. He blames Britain’s involvement in the Iraq war for last year’s attacks.

Should be a short conference. “OK, now. How do we prevent further terrorist attacks – all at once now. Whose fault is it?”

“There is no doubt that the London bombings and the Madrid bombings in 2003 were the repercussions of the September 11 attacks. All these events were a reaction of US aggression in Islamic countries, in Palestine, Chechnya and Afghanistan.”

So much for a conference that seeks to prevent a repetition of the 7/7 attacks.

And then echoing their jihadist compadres, Philip Slater in a Yahoo! News opinion piece whines that the Democrats are letting Bush define the terror issue. Here is his professional opinion on the misnamed ‘war on terror’.

“Terrorism is not a conflict between nations. It's an international crime problem.

The Democrats are still beating that drum – and still clueless about the enemy and the ideology that confronts us. Just find them and lock them up. Oh wait a minute. Can’t send them to Gitmo! Slater blabbers on.

No Christian Prayer in German Football Stadiums

The Catholic news service KATH.NET reports that the World Football association FIFA had the chapels of the Berlin Olympic Stadium and the Arena ''auf Schalke'' closed out of ''security considerations and respect for the followers of other religions''. The organisers are in possession of the right of undisturbed possession of the premises for the duration of the World Cup.

The Berlin chapel was supposed to cater for the practising Christians in several teams, among them the Brasilian and South Korean team.

WMD's In Iraq: Rumor Has It Negroponte Is Still Witholding Important Evidence

Michael Ledeen makes an important point about yesterdays revelation that WMD's have, indeed, been found in Iraq:

Please point out to your readers that Negroponte only declassified a few fragments of a much bigger document. Read the press conference and you will see that Santorum and Hoekstra were furious at the meager declassification. They will push for more, and we all must do that. I am told that there is a lot more in the full document, which CIA is desperate to protect, since it shows the miserable job they did looking for WMDs in Iraq.

Storm Track Disinformation: Islamic Grievances - The More Things Change, the More They Remain the Same

From The Gathering Storm

This was a Fatwa issued by by Haj Amin al-Husseini

In the name of Merciful and Almighty God.

I invite all my Moslem brothers throughout the whole world to join in the Holy War for God, for the defense of Islam and her lands against her enemy. O Faithful, obey and respond to my call.

O Moslems!

Proud 'Iraq has placed herself in the vanguard of this Holy Struggle, and has thrown herself against the strongest enemy of Islam certain that God will grant her victory.

The enemy has tried to seize this Arab-Moslem land, but she has risen, full of dignity and pride to defend her safety, to fight for her honor and to safeguard her integrity. 'Iraq fights the tyranny which has always had as its aim the destruction of Islam in every land. It is the duty of all Moslems to aid 'Iraq in her struggle and to seek every means to fight the enemy, the traditional traitor in every age and every situation.

Whoever knows the history of the East has everywhere seen the hand of the enemy working to divide the Arab countries. Our enemy politics toward the Arab people is masked under a veil of Hypocrisy. The minute she sees her chance, the enemy squeezes the prostrate country in her Imperialist grasp, adding futile justifications. She creates discord and division within a country and while feeding it in secret openly she assumes the role of advisor and trusted friend. The time when the enemy could deceive the peoples of the East is passed. The Arab Nation and the Moslem people have awakened to fight the domination. In Palestine the enemy have committed unheard of barbarisms; among others, they have profaned the el-Aqsa Mosque and have declared the most unyielding war against Islam, both in deed and in word.

Therefore I invite you, O Brothers, to join in the War for God to preserve Islam, your independence and your lands from enemy aggression. I invite you to bring all your weight to bear in helping 'Iraq that she may throw off the shame that torments her. O Heroic 'Iraq, God is with Thee, the Arab Nation and the Moslem World are solidly with Thee in Thy Holy Struggle!

Sounds like a recent fatwa, right?

Nope. The fatwa is from 1941! I replaced the word ‘English’ with the word ‘enemy’. Otherwise, everything else is the same. You can read it at EretzYisroel.org.

As far as Islamic grievances go, it’s the same old song played over and over again blaming someone else for thier problems. Then it was England, next it was Israel, now the US. I wonder if they just have these fatwas in a word processor somewhere and just do a search and replace anytime they need to complain.

South Korea Says N. Korea Missile Test Not Imminent

From Associated Press:

SEOUL, South Korea - South Korea's defense minister said Thursday that it believes North Korea's missile launch is not imminent despite concern in the region that the communist nation would test-fire a long-range missile.

It is our judgment that a launch is not imminent," Defense Minister Yoon Kwang-ung told a parliamentary meeting in comments confirmed by his ministry.

"There are various procedures before the launch, and based on those procedures, that is how we see it," Yoon said, without elaborating.

Worries over a possible North Korean launch have grown in recent weeks after reports of activity at the country's launch site on its northeastern coast where U.S. officials say a Taepodong-2 missile — believed capable of reaching parts of the United States — is possibly being fueled.

Let's see, now. America's assessment of the situation is based upon the use of sophisticated satellite technology. I don't imagine that South Korea is employing anywhere near the technology of the United States in gaining the intelligence that they have with regards to the activities of North Korea.

Therefore, it seems reasonable to conclude that there may be something more going on here than meets the eye.

Here's an article on the situation from the perspective of a South Korean newspaper:

White House spokesman Tony Snow said Tuesday that President George W. Bush contacted some dozen heads of state on North Korea¡¯s rumored imminent launch of a ballistic missile. Surely the United States needs the closest cooperation from South Korea, but Bush did not talk to our president. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice substituted their talk with a conversation with Foreign Minister Ban Ki-moon. The Korean and American presidents had their last telephone conversation on Sept. 20 last year, the day after the six-nation talks on North Korea¡¯s nuclear program produced a statement of principle.

The period since saw a number of major issues other than the missile question arise between our two countries, including Pyongyang's dollar counterfeiting, an accord on strategic flexibility for the U.S. Forces Korea, the relocation of U.S. military bases to Pyongtaek and negotiations on a bilateral free trade agreement. But the two presidents have had nothing to say to each other.

It is perhaps not so surprising Bush wouldn't have anything to say on the missile issue, since the South Korean government has reportedly concluded that what the North is preparing to fire is more likely to be a satellite. When the U.S. president ruled out a compromise on Pyonyang's counterfeiting of U.S. dollars, President Roh Moo-hyun said, "If the U.S. attempts to resolve the issue by pressuring North Korea in a manner wishing to see the regime collapse, conflicts will arise between South Korea and the U.S."

While the U.S. president invited North Korean defectors, describing one such encounter as the most moving of his tenure, the South Korean chief executive has not met a single one of the over 8,000 North Korean refugees living in the South.

Those differences have most likely cost South Korea its hotline to the White House and have driven it into isolation in the international community. Japan has aligned itself with the U.S. ever more closely as South Korea drifted away.

The new overtures this government has made toward China have produced no echoes. This administration also tried to open a line to the North in an attempt to ease its isolation with its "one nation" rhetoric.

"There are things that I can¡¯t readily do because of our relationship with our neighbors including the U.S.,¡± the president has said. ¡°But if former president Kim Dae-jung opens the way (though his visit to the North), I may be able to do them indirectly.¡± But North Korea has stopped a visit the president begged for by offering "unconditional aid to the North."

It is a sad president who is unable even to visit the North ¡°indirectly.¡± Why does South Korea find itself isolated in the international community and its communication channels with the North blocked at the same time?

This administration¡¯s slogans, from "independent alliance diplomacy" -- somehow seeking both independence and alliance -- to calling for Korea to play the role of a balancer between the U.S. and China while firmly cementing its cooperation with Washington, via a "cooperative but independent national defense," offering cooperation while leading the alliance, have claimed a high price -- an independent defense outlay running to hundreds of trillions of won. Such slogans from the administration originate in an unusual mindset that reads the world not as it is but as it wants it to be.

While every other country on earth lives in the orbit of world powers, our government insists that all other countries should circle around South Korea. Geocentrist leaders who persist that the sun circles the Earth are driving the satellite called South Korea on a collision course. And the people will have to live with this government in fear and trembling for another year and a half.

So, if this South Korean editorial writers' opinion is accurate, the current South Korean government seems to think that North Korea's belligerence offers an opportunity to play politics, and boost South Korea's power on the world stage.

What better way than to take a contrary opinion to the United States?

If North Korea increases its military power, who is in more danger than South Korea? Japan perhaps. But, one would assume that South Korea's response to saber-rattling from its neighbor would be serious concern, not a posture of calm assurance.

North Korea has within the last few days called for talks with the United States over the missile situation. If they were simply launching a satellite, these calls would have been the perfect time to clear up the misunderstanding. So, why is South Korea convinced that North Korea is not launching a missile?

We know that China is helping Iran with its pursuit of nuclear weapons. China seems to believe that by increasing Iran's power, they can set up a proxy challenge to the United States, and thus decrease American power. So far, this strategy seems to be working pretty well.

Could it be that Chinese diplomats are feeding South Korea erroneous information in order to set up another proxy challenge to the United States in the heart of Asia?

Bush was WRONG - and Iranians themselves show us why

Mohsen Rezai: "The American empire is hovering between life and death. If America loses some of the countries it has subjugated and plundered, there will be chaos in America."

Quikbio: Major General Mohsen Rezai was Commander of Iran’s elite Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) from 1981 to 1997. The IRGC, and in particular its Qods (Jerusalem) Force, are tasked with “liberating Jerusalem through Baghdad” in stark contrast to the country’s regular armed forces which are purely for defending the country against foreign attacks.

He currently serves as Secretary of the State Expediency Council.

"America seems so big, but in fact is like a paper tiger - even the slightest tremor could easily make it crumple and disappear. That's why America's strength depends upon maintaining its hegemony."

"Something very important has happened. The important thing is that the Americans wanted to finish this by September. They really wanted this boycott to be approved. This did not happen. Moreover, the Americans are no longer saying that Iran must be deprived of its nuclear rights forever. Many of our friends, who objected to Iran's firm stance, used to say: 'If the dossier is referred to the Security Council, it would deprive Iran of nuclear technology forever, within a week. Why are you resisting?' Why did this not happen? Iran has accomplished a great thing."

MySpace teenager declared runaway by court; told to hand over passport

Thank goodness the Tuscola County Family Court made a ruling to make sure that Katherine Lester could not slip out of the United States again, and that she undergo counseling (via Debbie Schlussel):
DETROIT (AP) -- Authorities have filed a runaway juvenile petition against a Michigan teenager who flew to the Middle East to be with a man she met on the MySpace.com Internet site.

The paperwork was filed Monday in Tuscola County Family Court by the county sheriff and prosecutor against Katherine Lester of Gilford, said Kyle Jaskula, the court administrator.

At a hearing on Monday, Judge W. Wallace Kent Jr. ordered Lester to give up her passport and undergo counseling. He did not rule on the validity of the petition, and further hearings have not been scheduled.

If the judge finds that Lester is a runaway, she could be placed under court supervision until she turns 18. Such supervision usually means she would be monitored by a probation officer and made to undergo counseling, Jaskula said.
Which is exactly what a lot of other youngsters who've been under the kind of indoctrination she has should be getting too.

On the other hand, the Islamist who coveted her as a bride, Abdullah Jimzawi, whose online screenname was Abdullah Psycho, requires some serious therapy. And the CBS affiliate that ran this sugar-drenched interview with him could use some too. From the treacly interview:
Six framed posters of Quranic verses and Islamic prayers adorned the walls [of Jimzawi's bedroom], including one depicting the 99 names of God.

Jimzawi, the second of five children, said he explained to Lester that she should convert to Islam to marry him.

"She said, 'No problem because I love you and I love your religion,"' he said.
EEEECCHH! Seeing that he wants to go to the US to meet her now, I think the parents and the authorities are going to have to take special measures to make sure he cannot.

WMD Found In Iraq: Text Of Rick Santorum Interview From Hugh Hewitt Show

From Radio Blogger:

HH: Evidently, you've got some declassified information detailing 500 different shells containing prohibited weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. But let me ask you, what did you announce today?

RS: What we announced was that after two and a half months of being aware of this document, we were able to get a copy of the document, and convince the intelligence community to give us a declassified version of the document. It is a very short synopsis, and I would argue incomplete synopsis, but nevertheless, it's vitally important, because what it does say, and I'll quote from it, "since 2003," so since the Iraq War, "coalition forces have recovered approximately 500 weapons munitions which contain mustard or sarin nerve agent."

HH: Who is the document from, Senator Santorum?

RS: It's from the National Ground Intelligence Center, which is a division of the United States Pentagon. I think it's the Army. And what they go on to say is, and I'll quote again from the summary, not the classified report, "despite many efforts to locate and destroy Iraq's pre-Gulf War chemical munitions, filled and unfilled pre-Gulf War chemical munitions are assessed to still exist beyond the 500 that they have recovered."

HH: Now of these 500 shells that they have recovered, Senator Santorum, does the document, the unclassified version, tell you in how many batches they were discovered? Was it one? Was it 50 of 100, or one of 500?

RS: You know, I can't talk about what additionally it tells you. All I can tell you is there have been published reports on blog sites about this report...and the published reports say that 75% of these 500 or so weapons were in fact filled and usable, and very dangerous for the...if got to improper hands.

HH: That's fine. Again, putting away the classified stuff, focusing on the unclassified and published reports, is it your impression, Senator Santorum, that there have been a number of such discoveries?

RS: It is my impression that there have been a number of such discoveries. It's my impression that this is a very dangerous situation in Iraq, with the number of chemical weapons still believed to exist out there, and the threat that they might in fact get into the wrong hands. So Saddam, it is clear, from this report, had lots of chemical weapons around, and that people got their hands on them.

HH: Now the media thus far, I've seen it reported on Fox News, the website Freerepublic.com has got a number of threads running on it, but there is nothing about your announcement in the Washington Post or the New York Times as of three minutes ago. Are you surprised?

RS: Unfortunately not.

HH: Senator, of those 500 different shells, located in numerous place across Iraq, post-invasion, have any analysis been done as to whether or not any of them were manufactured after the Gulf War?

RS: The ones that are identified in the declassified information, are identified as pre-1991 munitions. Again, a lot of the discussion...there's going to be discussion of well, we haven't found any post-1991 munitions.

HH: There was also in a previous announcement of a small seizure of WMD, they were sarin shells, I believe, not long after the war. But it was about a dozen, maybe two dozen. The explanation was that they had just simply been misplaced, and overlooked in the effort to destroy the pre-existing, pre-Gulf War stockpiles. Is there information in these documents that indicate that there was an intentional effort on the part of Saddam's government to secret these weapons?

RS: Well, there is additional information that I think the public should be made aware of that could answer that question.

Go read the whole thing.
