Stop The Dangerous "Christian Missionary Octopus": 16,000 "Apostates" Per Day

A Libyan Islamic scholar says Muslims are converting to Christianity at the rate of 16,000 per day:

This translation of a televised conversation reveals a rare glimpse into the outlook of Muslim scholars who are concerned about Christianity’s growth. The invited guest is Sheikh Ahmad Al Katani; the president of The Companions Lighthouse for the Science of Islamic Law in Libya, which is an institution specializing in graduating imams and Islamic preachers.

Katani starts off describing the overall problem:

Islam used to represent, as you previously mentioned, Africa’s main religion and there were 30 African languages that used to be written in Arabic script. The number of Muslims in Africa has diminished to 316 million, half of whom are Arabs in North Africa. So in the section of Africa that we are talking about, the non Arab section, the number of Muslims does not exceed 150 million people.

When we realize that the entire population of Africa is one billion people, we see that the number of Muslims has diminished greatly from what it was in the beginning of the last century. On the other hand, the number of Catholics has increased from one million in 1902 to 329 million 882 thousand (329,882,000). Let us round off that number to 330 million in the year 2000.

As to how that happened, well there are now 1.5 million churches whose congregations account for 46 million people.

In every hour, 667 Muslims convert to Christianity. Everyday, 16,000 Muslims convert to Christianity. Ever year, 6 million Muslims convert to Christianity. These numbers are very large indeed ...From what I have heard from reliable sources, six million may be too low. Reliable accounts say that one hundred thousand Africans convert to Christianity per day, though not all of them come from Islam.

Then Katani says Muslims should build schools before mosques, in order to build the worshipper (Muslim) before the building. Why? To stop the the dangerous “Christian missionary octopus.”

Oh, shit. I knew we were some new kind of creature now....Oh well, they're insulted again, you know what that means....lol.....time for some cross-posting. Typical.

I just blogged for 5 hours I think. P.S. is it OK if we make that Olivier pic Infidel Hunk of the Century and just never remove it? I'm in love. Ok, I'm obviously to tired to be typing. Nighty night.

Islam cannot compete with Christianity in an 'open marketplace'. That's why places like Saudi Arabia and Algeria forbid any Christian missionary work. Islam must have a guaranteed monopoly to survive.

Also Christianity is a living faith, Islam is a rigid cult stuck in the 8th century with no possibility of development. Christianity can be adapted to different cultures and different modes of presentation, whereas Islam includes a fossilised culture which is intended to replace Jahiliyya (all other cultures).

Christianity may freely use visual art, music and dance to convey its message. Islam forbids all these arts as part of worship.

Finally there is the charismatic attractiveness of Jesus, compared with the repulsive character of The Pervert.

I'm going to look up this gigantic evangelical Christian Church that I have seen a documentary about. It's in Nigeria, and the movement there is extremely strong. The church is so modern that it seats several thousand and broadcasts as well as having huge screens inside. Very modern.

The interesting thing in the documentary was that the founder of the church was very proud that they raised all of their money themselves (they own much land surrounding, transportation to the church for surrounding areas, and a community locally). He claimed proudly that all of this was done without the help of Western countries at all. Now THAT intrigues me and also gives me hope that this movement is off and running even without Westerners being involved at all.

I'll post once I find it online. Hard to remember all from a TV show.

I attended a Chinese Christian church a few years ago. It was all in Chinese (probably Cantonese), so one of the church elders sat beside me and translated the whole sermon as it was delivered. It was an outstanding sermon, one of the best I ever heard.

Yes, Christianity is amenable to many cultures.
