All of us, every single man, woman, and child on the face of the Earth were born with the same unalienable rights; to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. And, if the governments of the world can't get that through their thick skulls, then, regime change will be necessary.
Let me see if I have this right. They want me to "prove my respect for the Prophet Mohammed".
But, the fact of the matter is, I don't particularly respect him (actually, that's probably not such an unsual point of view for a non-Moslem-- in case you were wondering, I'm not a Moslem :-)
So, as a non-Moslem, why should I have to respect "the Prophet Mohammed"? Heck, I don't even believe he was really a prophet( but that's another issue).
But, why should non-Moslems have to respect Moslem holy figures-- let alone have to prove it? After all,, this isn't Iran, or Saudi Arabia (Well, not yet, anyway...)
Actually, I think that sign is quite revealing. A lot of the problem is that so many Moslems insist that others adopt their beliefs. And, if we don't-- they take it as an insult, and get angry. Very angry.
If we don't believe and act the way they do, not only do they take it as an insult and get angry-- they often get quite violent.
Aha-- I think I'm actually beginning to understand Islam more and more...
I must admit, I don't respect their prophet, and acting like I did would simply be proof of dhimmitude, not respect. But then I'm not sure what the goal is at the moment, the submission of "unbelievers" or actual respect. Many eloquent muslims have appeared on the airwaves implying the latter, yet the signs keep making all of my dhimmi alarms go off at an alarming rate.

No one has caught on to the fact their sign says "foreign people", where the hell is this demonstration and who is the real "foreigner"?
