Religion of Peace Roundup - Week of Dec 31st

Clarity and Resolve - The Palestinians are killing each other.

Always on Watch - (must read) posts on the Fifth annual conference of the Palestine Solidarity Movement being held at Georgetown University.

American Crusader - Islam and free speech.

Is Islam our Future? This is quite a read, but well worth it. The answer may surprise you.

Little Green Footballs - Let the dhimmitude begin! Hamas plans on instituting the jizya tax on Christians living in Bethlehem.

* jizya (Arabic): This is the poll tribute tax that infidels must pay for being allowed to live in the Islamic state (such infidels are called dhimmis*). It is often paid in a humiliating manner, with the Jew or Christian being made to enter the tax collector's office with eyes to the ground, and then being struck in the face or on the back of the neck while paying.

Fight against those to whom the Scriptures were given as believe in neither God nor the Last Day, who do not forbid what God and His apostle have forbidden, and do not embrace the true Faith, until they pay tribute out of hand and are utterly subdued. —Qur'an 9:29

Democracy Frontline - the recent bombing in Indonesia.

I have seen videos of stonings in Iran, it's not a pretty picture.

Great post-- you've really packed a lot of information into it. (Some of which I may be "borrowing" for my site :-).

I especially liked the quotes from the Quran. I really think this needs to be a much more major part of all our posts. It is hard for any of the Muslims to deny the reality of the motivation of the acts of terror when the Quran shows it supports it.

I think it's a good idea too, however the radicals will only say it's taken out of context.

Clarity and Resolve has a great jihad lexicon. It's a great resource and often adds the Koranic verse to supplement the definition.

The issue of whether our future is Islam is something I can't encourage you enough to read. I plan on posting and commenting on some of that material later.
